Chapter 2137: Chapter 1698: Is This the Rui Plate?
Looking at Anthony setting up his posture, it seemed like he wasn’t just talking for the sake of it.
Negris asked in confusion, "Can you really find the coordinates of the Exotic Ghost? How? I didn’t see you do anything."
While summoning the Priestess, Anthony replied, "Oh, I did. Didn’t I dazzle him for a moment?"
"Dazzle him for a moment? You mean the Holy Light Technique? Isn’t it just a flash of Holy Light? Those who don’t know might think you’re trying to illuminate them," Negris said with a sneer.
Anthony laughed and said, "No, no, no, that’s the Divine Oracle Engraving, a decree from the gods, a sacred imprint, a coordinate of faith, the remnants of Holy Light..."
A series of comparisons made Negris roll his eyes with annoyance, "Stop showing off in front of us. If you keep teasing us, I’ll beat you up with the Old Immortal."
Negris couldn’t beat Anthony alone, but it would be different with the Monarch involved.
The Monarch and I have slain ten thousand people—he slayed ten thousand, I slayed none, averaging five thousand each, which means I at least have a combat power of five thousand.
The Monarch didn’t want to be dragged into averaging it out, but just as Negris said, stop showing off in front of them, who doesn’t have a God Status?
Anthony’s bad habit of whetting appetites might fool others, but daring to show off in front of them?
At this point, the Monarch gave Anthony a slight glance.
Okay, if he keeps showing off, he might really get hacked, Anthony explained with an embarrassed smile, "When the coordinate of faith disappears, the Faith Elemental Force will follow the remnants of Holy Light to find a new coordinate. I imprinted a Divine Oracle Engraving on him; as long as he is devoted to the faith, the Faith Elemental Force will follow the remnants to find his position."
Negris asked in confusion, "Did you imprint him with the aura of the Holy Light? Won’t he realize it? He clearly just checked himself."
Anthony said, "It’s just the remnants of Holy Light. He can easily find it if he wants to, but it’s like if your body were filthy and you got a bit more soot—would you care?"
The Exotic Ghost is essentially a weapon for attacking the Star Soul, with too much ’soot’ on it; one more remnant of Holy Light is hard to notice.
After Anthony’s explanation, everyone understood his approach.
The aura of the Exotic Ghost is indeed very mixed. It has sealed countless consciousnesses. The aura is extremely diverse, and each Stacked Piece differs from the other.
However, these subtle differences are something only the Exotic Ghost can discern, as humans struggle to differentiate skeletons, but another skeleton can immediately recognize it.
And Anthony’s group counted as ’another skeleton’, knowing these subtle differences, so why would the Exotic Ghost pay attention to a trace of remnants of Holy Light among its mixed aura?
Negris examined Anthony half-doubtfully, "Can this really be done? But among us here, who doesn’t have remnants of Holy Light? And at such a distance, can the remnants of Holy Light truly lead to the position of the Exotic Ghost? If it were really this effective, why isn’t your Church of Light using this to track enemies?"
Negris knew almost all the Divine Arts of the Church of Light but had never heard of the Divine Oracle Engraving, let alone tracking enemies using the remnants of Holy Light.
Anthony said, "Because to use this method for tracking enemies, two conditions must be met: one is someone who can shield all Holy Light, and two is someone who can sense the direction of faith."
"Uh, when you put it that way, actually, only Ange can meet these conditions," Negris mused.
The Church of Light is a pantheon, and all the Gods of Light and their followers can use Holy Light, with remnants of Holy Light on them. The only Master God capable of shielding the aura doesn’t have consciousness.
If these auras of Holy Light can’t be shielded, even if there’s Faith Elemental Force, it will just drift onto these people.
Only Ange has the ability to shield everyone’s aura, ensuring no God Status receives even a trace of Faith Elemental Force.
The second is sensing the direction of faith.
The Gods of Light cannot perceive from where the faith comes, as all faith abilities funnel to the Master God Status and then are distributed among the gods based on certain rules.
Moreover, Negris doubted that even without the Master God Status relay, they might not sense the direction of Faith Elemental Force, as Negris himself couldn’t sense it, and the Gods of Light may not be as keen in detecting Faith Elemental Force as he is.
However, this is naturally not a problem for Ange; never mind direction, he could even measure the distance if it appears on the faith network.
After Anthony finished explaining, on the other side, everyone was also ready.
This assembly consisted entirely of priests and clergy born from the Dimensional World, who had never reincarnated before or lived in the Chaos Plane, nor did they recognize members like Ange, ensuring the purity of their faith as much as possible.
If faith lacks purity, it can sometimes lead one astray.
Everyone arranged themselves in a neat formation, collectively singing hymns and praying devoutly to the Light.
Most could only vaguely sense the Faith Elemental Force, so with Negris leading the way, everyone collectively shared Ange’s Vision.
In his divine field, the holy light glowed faintly from these believers, drifting toward the direction of the Rui Plate.
Ange immediately gathered the believers, boarded the Star Lord’s Chariot, led everyone to virtualize, and flew toward the Rui Plate’s direction. After flying a distance, he released the believers again to pray.
The Faith Elemental Force again drifted toward the direction of the Star Plate. Repeating this process more than a dozen times, the Faith Elemental Force no longer drifted in the original direction but diagonally downward, the Faith Elemental Force forming an intermittent dashed line.
Everyone’s spirits lifted; they had found the target.
Following the dashed line formed by the Faith Elemental Force, a large and a small skeleton sat on the Star Lord’s Chariot, slowly moving forward. Before long, a giant planar construct appeared in the void ahead.
How large was it? Ange’s Vision couldn’t even see its end.
On the side visible in Ange’s Vision, countless hexagonal planes were perfectly combined, each piece presenting subtle different angles, yet the interior of each hexagon was impeccably flat.
However, this was merely a distant optical illusion. Upon closer approach, it was discovered that the interiors of the hexagonal planes contained countless ups and downs of trenches.
Continuing to get closer, these were not trenches, but huge cracks and raised compression marks. However, these enormous undulations seemed insignificant under the vast expanse of the hexagonal planes, making them appear perfectly flat from afar.
No one knew what to say, as such shouldn’t exist within the void. Even assembling all the God Stars in the entire void might not fill these hexagonal planes.
"Could this be what they call the Rui Plate? Could it be that beneath this is the Void Pillar that supports the entire void?" Negris murmured to himself.
