Fated To Three, And I Broke Them All

Chapter 412-If My Mate Is Not Getting Respect, No One Should

  • Next Chapter

Theodore:

Verity had warned both Jaguar and me not to go after her, and it had been the hardest thing to stand there and let her walk away.

I knew both of us wanted to go after her and comfort her.

The pain in my chest deepened the more I thought about her.

Her teary eyes reminded me of all the pain she had dealt with, and I couldn’t forget the way her voice had shaken when she gave it back to my brother.

The moment she stepped away, Jaguar clenched his fists and immediately rushed past Ragnar and into the building.

I could already expect him to grab his stuff and leave.

At this point, both of us were afraid of who would go after her first.

What if she found us on the same road, suspected we were following her, and rejected us?

That was how fragile everything seemed to me right now.

"What did you do, Ragnar?"

This was the first time I had ever said his name with so much anger.

"What did I do?" he asked.

"What were you two doing in that office? Threatening each other? And she was what, sitting there smiling throughout the whole ordeal?" Ragnar replied confidently, as if he had physically been there and seen everything himself.

He hadn’t.

I paused halfway through, and my eyes landed on Gigi.

It made sense.

She had gone to complain to Ragnar.

"How could you speak to my mate like that?" I asked Gigi.

It was getting really hard to show her any respect when the people around me kept pushing me to cross every boundary of it.

"What did I do? You two were threatening each other," she retorted, making me clench my fists.

I could tell she noticed because she was that observant.

We hadn’t spent many years together, but whatever time we had spent together had been full of attention, affection, and care for each other. I knew her mannerisms.

I knew she was noticing my body language.

Good.

I wanted her to notice.

"You went to my brother and spoke some nonsense about my mate, which led him to come here and say all that stuff that reminded her of the pain she’s been through. And now she’s threatening to reject us!"

I didn’t know what came over me. I found myself screaming at her.

With every second that passed and every word that escaped my mouth, I watched her eyes grow wider and wider in disbelief.

"What are you doing? Is that how you’re going to talk to her now?" Ragnar intervened, stepping in front of her.

"Huh? Why? Is that shocking? Didn’t you speak nastily to my mate? Didn’t she call my mate a slut?"

As I gave it back to my brother, I noticed him tilt his head slightly to look at Gigi because that was out of character for her.

I wasn’t sure what had gotten into her, but she had ruined everything for me and Jaguar.

Screw Jaguar.

She had ruined everything for me.

So, at that moment, it was hard for me to control my emotions.

"You know what? You’re right. Everything is about you. Everybody should respect your mate, but my mate can go to hell, right?" I said.

Ragnar took a deep breath and placed his hands on his waist.

"You don’t have to be dramatic about it. I had to separate all of you so you wouldn’t start this whole thing here in the office."

Ragnar tried to step closer, but I raised my palm toward him.

It was getting difficult for me even to breathe.

"I’ll go and speak with her."

The minute Ragnar said that, I looked up at him, and suddenly, everything became easier.

I began to feel like I was loved again.

Like my brother cared about me again.

"You would?" I asked softly.

"Well, if that’s what is going to make you happy. Besides, she’s a good employee. I was just angry."

I didn’t know what to say.

I simply stared at my brother in silence.

"Would that be okay?" he asked again.

I took a deep breath and nodded.

Then, without saying another word to either of them, I walked away and headed back into the building so I could grab my stuff and leave.

The minute I stepped inside, I saw Jaguar was about to leave.

"She’s not getting fired," I hissed.

He slowed down.

The way he looked at me was bizarre. There was anger in his eyes, as if we had been enemies for a very long time.

As if we had forgotten how to be brothers.

"Ragnar is going after her. Since she didn’t threaten to reject Ragnar, I think it’ll be fine," I added.

There was an irony to it. Jaguar and I were the ones who were her mates, while Ragnar wasn’t, so he was not afraid of following her.

"Well, thank you so much for telling me about my mate," Jaguar taunted.

That was unexpected.

Before long, he walked away.

I went back to my office and started thinking about what I was going to do.

This wasn’t right.

We brothers shouldn’t be fighting over someone.

We shouldn’t.

After all, there shouldn’t be any competition.

There should only be me.

With that thought, I picked up my phone and unblocked Aster, Jaguar’s ex-girlfriend.

"Hello, how are you? I hope you’re doing fine. I’m really sorry for not being available these past few months, but I wanted to give you some good news"

I paused, giving her a moment.

"Theodore, why are you calling me? I thought you blocked me," she questioned.

I rolled my eyes and reached for the window, pushing the curtain aside to watch Ragnar leave.

My eyes then landed on Jaguar, sitting in his own car.

Gigi moved toward her vehicle while I stood there, thinking about the future.

"Yeah, I just wanted to give you some good news. Since you’ve been a part of our family, on and off, I thought, why not share it with you?" I mumbled, a smile creeping onto my lips.

"Jaguar found his fated mate."

That was all I said before I heard her gasp.

"Yeah, well, it’s going to hurt a lot. And I think after this, that hope you had that the two of you would eventually find your way back to each other will be gone forever."

That was all I said before ending the call.

But I kept the phone in my hand.

Within the next two minutes, she started calling me again.
