Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)

Chapter 175: The Wedding Vows

Everyone was already seated, patiently waiting for the brides to arrive. Almost every chair was occupied except for a few seats at the front. Those seats were reserved for the family members who would be walking the brides down the aisle.

Only one seat would remain empty throughout the entire wedding.

It was a reserved seat for Angel’s late mother, Lucille.

The empty chair quietly stood among the others, a small but meaningful reminder that although Lucille couldn’t be there physically, her daughter had carried her memory with her on this special day.

Somewhere beyond the clouds, Angel liked to believe that her mother was watching her from heaven.

The wedding was being coordinated by Priesto, who was serving as the officiant, while his nuns stood together as the choir.

When the Alpha bride was finally ready to walk down the aisle, the nuns began their orchestra and started singing. The soft music filled the garden, drawing everyone’s attention toward the entrance.

Angel stood between her two grandmothers, with Grandma Paula on one side and Grandma Lucinda on the other. Both women walked beside her proudly, their faces filled with happiness as they watched their granddaughter take this important step in her life.

In front of them were the three little kittens, walking carefully down the aisle in their tiny wedding outfits. They looked almost too adorable to be part of such a serious occasion.

Together, Angel, her two grandmothers, and the three kittens slowly made their way toward the altar.

Then the music changed for the Omega bride, signaling that it was finally April’s turn to walk down the aisle. She was accompanied by her father and her half-sister June, who stayed close beside her as they slowly made their way forward.

At the front, Coco Terror and Percy led the way, walking proudly toward the altar as the two cats made their own little appearance in the wedding procession.

The moment Angel saw the love of her life in her wedding dress, everything around her seemed to fade for a moment. She had already seen April wearing that exact wedding dress before, but somehow, standing there on their actual wedding day, it felt like the first time.

April had covered part of her face, but underneath her veil, she could clearly see the way her Alpha was staring at her.

Angel couldn’t take her eyes off her.

The brown cowgirl hat sitting on Angel’s long red-wine hair made April fall even more in love with her Alpha. Angel looked absolutely stunning in her tuxedo, standing proudly at the altar and waiting for her.

She looked even more beautiful than the first time April had seen her wearing that same tuxedo at the bookshop. Back then, April had already thought Angel looked incredible.

But today was different.

Today, she wasn’t just looking at the woman she loved.

She was looking at her future wifey.

Mr. August gently took his daughter’s hand and placed it into Angel’s, trying his hardest to hold back his tears. For a moment, he simply looked at April, taking in the sight of his first daughter standing there in her wedding gown.

He never once imagined this day was possible, now he was standing at the altar, giving her away to the woman she had chosen to spend the rest of her life with.

"I’m giving you my first fruit. Please take care of her... Stick with her no matter what."

"Yes, sir. I will."

Angel held April’s hand firmly, her expression becoming serious as she looked at August. She understood the weight behind his words. This wasn’t simply a father handing his daughter over. He was trusting Angel with someone incredibly precious to him.

Then he faced his daughter.

"And you, April, always stand by your Alpha. Never leave her for anyone. Through thick and thin, always love and support one another..."

"Yes, Dad."

April’s voice was soft, but she meant every word. She looked at Angel, her fingers still intertwined with hers.

Before August could step away completely, June moved closer to her big sister with a very serious expression on her little face.

"Pinky promise, big sister... Don’t ever leave this Alpha, if you don’t want me to steal her."

April couldn’t help but smile at her little sister’s words.

"Pinky promise, little sister. No one is going to steal my Alpha, not even you..." April said, joining her finger with the little girl’s.

"It is done. May the Force be with you both..." June said. Then she whispered to Angel, "Do the Spock..."

Finally everyone was seated...

"You look beautiful..." Angel whispered to her bride.

"You too..."

"And where are your glasses?" Angel asked the moment she realized April wasn’t wearing them.

"Don’t worry, Papi. I can see you clearly..." April said.

Angel smiled softly. She had noticed the missing glasses almost immediately. Even on their wedding day, she couldn’t help paying attention to every little thing about her bride.

"Alright, everybody, today we are here to unite two souls as one. I believe you both have your vows..." Priesto said, looking at the brides.

The garden became quiet as everyone turned their attention toward the couple. The music faded into the background, leaving only the two brides standing before each other.

April happened to be the first to say her vows.

"Angel Christiana Del Rosario, never in my life did I think that I would be standing here, in love with you, marrying you, having your child... Thanks to you, I realized that I can have a life made by me. You opened my eyes and made me see that there’s good in the bad... I love you, and I will always love you for the rest of our lives. Thank you, Angel, for being by my side..."

April carefully collected the ring and slipped it onto Angel’s finger.

For Angel, hearing those words meant more than she could properly explain. She had spent so much of her life believing she would never settle down with any person, yet here she was, standing at an altar with April, listening to the woman she loved promise to stay with her for the rest of their lives.

Angel then collected the ring.

Before saying her vows, she did the Spock sign, glancing toward her proud sister-in-law.

"April Four-Eyes January, until I met you, I couldn’t imagine spending my life with just one person, and now I can’t imagine spending one day of it without you. I can’t explain my love for you, but I am going to spend the rest of my life showing you how much you mean to me, how much I love you... just like yesterday and the day before and the day before... I will always be by your side, even when we argue and laugh... Thank you for loving me..."

Angel carefully placed the ring onto April’s finger.

The two women looked at each other, their hands still connected as the meaning of the moment finally settled in.

They had gone from step-sisters to lovers, from enemies of their own circumstances to two people standing together at the altar. Everything they had experienced had somehow brought them to this exact moment.

"By the power vested in me by the state of Playa Linda, and my religion, of course... I now pronounce you wives..."

Everyone clapped as the two newly married wives shared their first kiss as a married couple.
