Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)
Chapter 173: Night Before The Wedding (2)
Obviously, Angel wasn’t going to leave April. Her mind and heart simply wouldn’t let her step away.
So instead of going anywhere else, the party happened right outside the cottage. Since April was resting inside and didn’t have the energy to walk around too much, everyone simply adjusted their plans. The yard outside the cottage quickly became their party area, with enough space for everyone to eat, drink, listen to music, and enjoy the night without making April feel like she was missing out.
The smell of grilled seafood quickly spread around the yard, mixing with the fresh night air. Sabrina stayed close to the grill, making sure nothing was burned, while Carlos moved around with drinks for everyone. Priesto, meanwhile, was doing his best to make the party feel like an actual celebration.
Angel had to tell Priesto to turn down the volume of the loud music so it wouldn’t disturb April inside.
Priesto was honestly on the verge of leaving the whole thing because he had so many wild ideas for the party, especially for someone who was getting married the very next day, but he was strictly limited to almost nothing.
First, his sexy nuns, who were supposed to be in charge of serving the food and dancing, were immediately sent back to the restaurant.
And now he was completely stuck mixing a boring old country song for everyone.
Priesto did not grow up with Angel, but he was very aware that his niece’s dark personality had changed completely the moment she started dating April.
The Angel he knew before April would probably have enjoyed a loud and ridiculous celebration without caring about anything else. Now, the same woman was constantly checking whether the music was too loud, whether April had eaten enough, whether she was comfortable, and whether she needed anything.
It was honestly strange to watch.
Meanwhile, the Omegas inside the cottage were busy playing karaoke, eating entire boxes of chocolate and sweets, and giving April cute baby wedding gifts.
Soon, they started casually talking about stories and everything else, thoroughly enjoying their own little party inside while the others continued with the barbecue and music outside on the lawn.
Angel came knocking on the door again, and when they opened it a crack, she anxiously asked how her girl was doing inside.
"It’s just a few hours, Clingy Alpha... Just stay outside and continue your own partying..."
Katie slammed the door right in her face once again.
Angel stood outside the closed door for a few seconds, clearly unhappy about being separated from April. She eventually turned around and returned to the yard, although she kept glancing toward the cottage every few minutes.
Then Benny came knocking and casually entered the cottage, she spent some time inside with the Omegas before eventually wandering back outside to see what everyone else was doing. She kept moving between both groups, enjoying pieces of each celebration without really committing to either one.
June happily talked about her adventures with her siblings and father. She dramatically demonstrated her favorite superhero act and sang a cute song for her big sister April.
Her energy brought even more life into the room. April watched her little sister with a huge smile, clearly enjoying the childish performance even more than the actual karaoke.
April, who had been a bit cozy and sick earlier in the evening, slowly started feeling much better. She stood up from the couch and danced around with the girls. They took plenty of fun pictures together, and April sang her heart out on the karaoke machine.
For a while, she forgot about feeling sick, forgot about how heavy pregnancy had been making her feel, and simply enjoyed being surrounded by people she loved.
Then, when they randomly turned toward the window, they spotted Angel openly spying on them through the glass.
Mary immediately went over to close the curtains and continued with the fun.
All Angel really wanted was to be with her Omega, and no one was getting the obvious picture. They just desperately wanted to have the traditional separate bachelor party for the two of them.
Angel’s attention remained fixed on the cottage even while everyone around her continued enjoying the outdoor party. She barely seemed interested in the food, music, or jokes because her mind kept returning to April.
When April finally realized that her Alpha was genuinely lonely and couldn’t focus at all because she was so worried about her, she gently told the girls that they should all just go outside to be with the rest of the group.
At first, they all refused her idea, but April firmly said she was the actual one getting married tomorrow and that she simply wanted to be with her Alpha.
Since April was the bride, they all respected her wishes and headed out.
Outside the cottage, the setting was remarkably calm and cozy. Every single corner screamed of friends trying their best to entertain the happy couple.
The barbecue was still going, the seafood was nearly finished, and the music played softly enough that it could be heard without disturbing the peaceful night. Everyone had settled into their own little groups, laughing and enjoying the final night before the wedding.
April was sitting right beside Angel, sitting comfortably on her lap and wrapped together with her in a blanket.
Angel looked much more relaxed now that April was finally beside her. One arm remained securely around the Omega while the other helped keep the blanket wrapped around both of them.
"You really can’t stay away from me for even one night, Papi, huh...?" April playfully teased the Alpha.
"Obviously not. You occupied my entire mind, and I can’t think straight at all because of that. Like I told you earlier today, I’d rather always be right by your side..."
"I really wonder what you’re ever going to do without me, Papi..."
"I honestly have no idea..."
They quietly watched the chaotic scene playing out before them.
Carlos and Sabrina put on a hilarious little play to mock Angel. It was a funny recreation from the past time when Angel was still in deep denial about her true feelings for the Omega. They openly mocked Angel for always bragging about never getting married or even falling in love with anyone.
Everyone around them enjoyed the performance, especially because Angel could do nothing but sit there and accept the embarrassment.
The woman who once acted as if love and marriage were the last things she would ever care about was now sitting outside her cottage with her pregnant fiancée resting against her.
The difference was almost too funny to ignore.
Little June was completely tired, so she rested her sleepy head right on Angel’s lap and quickly dozed off.
Even April fell fast asleep right on her chest shortly afterward.
