Falling For My Alpha Stepsister (GL)

Chapter 172: Night Before The Wedding

  • Next Chapter

It was the night before their official wedding day. April was feeling a bit sick and was resting comfortably on the couch, with Angel, her devoted Alpha, right by her side.

Angel had carefully made hot soup, a special recipe which she had learned directly from her grandmother Lucinda. After personally feeding the Omega every spoonful, she turned on the TV for her to watch, wrapped her tightly in a warm blanket, and stayed right close to her to keep her completely warm.

April had been feeling more tired than usual lately. Being four months pregnant was starting to make even simple things exhausting, and tonight, she had no energy to do much more than lie on the couch and let Angel fuss over her.

The excitement of their wedding was also sitting somewhere in the back of her mind. Tomorrow, after everything they had gone through together, they would finally be married.

"I’m so sorry you didn’t get to throw a big bachelor party like you had originally planned with your friends..." April said softly, her head leaning against Angel’s shoulder.

"You always come first, April. Taking care of you is far more important than any random party I have done all my life. I am going to be a mommy very soon, so I should be properly prepared for that responsibility..." Angel said, kissing her fiancée’s hair gently.

Angel had already spent most of the evening making sure April had everything she needed. She had prepared the soup, brought her water, adjusted the pillows behind her back, and even checked the room temperature more than once. She was clearly treating the night before her wedding like a full-time job.

"I really would have gone out with them, but being pregnant is really, really weighing me down tonight. Mary and Katie desperately wanted to throw a party for me too..."

April smiled slightly as she spoke. She knew Angel had planned to spend the evening with her friends before the wedding. Instead, the Alpha had completely changed her plans without even complaining about it.

"Come on, let me carry you to bed so you can sleep properly..." Angel was just about to scoop April up in her arms when they suddenly heard a sharp knock on the front door.

Angel paused and looked toward the door.

"Hold on one moment, Bebe. I will go check it out..."

She carefully pulled the blanket around April one more time before getting up. Angel walked toward the front door, wondering who could possibly be arriving this late at night when the wedding was literally the next day.

When Angel opened the front door, it was Katie standing there, along with Mary and little June.

Since April clearly couldn’t leave the house tonight, they had brought the whole celebration straight to her instead.

Katie was carrying a few things, while Mary had clearly come prepared for the small gathering. June stood between them, looking completely excited to be there.

"Hey, bestie! How are you doing tonight?" Katie said excitedly. She walked right in and sat down beside the pregnant Omega, dropping a large chocolate box onto the table.

"What are you guys all doing here?" April smiled brightly, looking up at the three of them.

"We came to celebrate your very last day of being single before you officially become married tomorrow," Mary said with a grin.

"Hello, she is definitely not single. She has me..." Angel said as she sat down on the armrest of the couch right close to April.

Katie and Mary clearly knew Angel was not going to make leaving April easy. The Alpha had been attached to her fiancée all evening, and now that other people had arrived, she still looked like she had no intention of going anywhere.

"Big sister April, how are you doing?" June said, looking up at her big sister with wide eyes.

The two girls shared a tight, loving hug.

April smiled warmly as she hugged her little sister. For a moment, the tiredness on her face disappeared completely. Seeing June there made the whole evening feel more special.

"Sorry, Mars and Julie couldn’t make it over tonight. Mars is still way too little, and Julie doesn’t want to let go of Daddy’s hand at home," June explained carefully.

"Don’t worry at all, you being here right now is more than enough for me. Thank you so much for coming over, little sister."

June looked pleased with herself after hearing that. She had clearly wanted to be part of the celebration, especially because tomorrow was such an important day for her big sister.

"How is baby May doing inside your tummy?"

"Correction, her name is Lucy May," Angel cut in smoothly.

April glanced at Angel, already knowing exactly why she had corrected June. Angel had become very attached to the name Lucy May and had made sure everyone knew the baby’s official name.

"Angel, can you please just leave the room? This night is supposed to be only for April, not with both of you hovering around. Carlos and Sabrina are already waiting for you outside in the yard..." Katie said, shooing her with her hand.

Angel immediately looked toward the door and then back at April.

"I am not not leaving my April alone here..."

"She is not alone at all. She is right here with all of us..." Mary said.

Angel was just going to strongly object and demand to stay right there, but April reached out and held her hand softly.

"Don’t worry, Papi. Go meet up with your friends outside. I will be completely fine..."

"Are you really sure you are going to be fine without me?"

"Yes, absolutely..." April nodded with a smile.

Angel still looked unconvinced. Her eyes moved from April to Katie, then to Mary, as if she was silently checking whether everyone was actually capable of taking care of her pregnant fiancée.

"Don’t worry even a bit, sister-in-law. I will personally take care of my big sister tonight. You are not the only one who can do that, you know. I took great care of Mars when he was inside my mommy’s belly," June said with a big smile on her face...

Angel finally gave in, although she clearly did not like the idea of being separated from April even for a short while.

Then the little girl grabbed Angel by her hand, dragged the tall Alpha straight to the front door, kicked her outside onto the porch, and slammed the door shut behind her.

June turned back around to face the girls sitting in the living room, putting both of her small hands firmly on her waist.

"Okay, now that the big Alpha is gone. Let the party begin!"
