"Pfft! Pfft! Pfft! Pfft!"

The few guards trying to approach him were bisected at the waist or decapitated by the terrifying sword energy!

Blood sprayed like fountains across the ruined hall walls and floor; the thick stench of blood became almost tangible.

Suddenly, his body trembled, and everyone’s face paled.

"Damn, he is breaking through to Tier 6!" Jack’s face paled.

’My daughter, where are you?’ Maria thought, as the vial of blood could be the only thing that could save them, as she looked towards Victor. It seemed like the heavens felt pity, and the next moment...

"Mother!" Seraphina burst into the room with a pale face and a vial in her hand.

"Huh?" Victor’s body jolted as his eyes were intently fixed on the vial, and a new notification popped into his vision.

[Ding Dong]

[Night Slayer Bloodline has detected ????]

Seraphina’s face was already pale before she saw the scene before her. But when she got close enough to get a better look, she stopped, and her already pale face turned paper-white in the blink of an eye.

In addition, an area had a slight reddish tinge floating through the air like particles, and even the air Seraphina breathed was filled with demon blood. The bloody mist that surrounded the area immediately began to dye her armor, weapons, and body red.

This was the first time she had witnessed such a bloody and cruel scene as the one in front of her.

"What... What... How many... What..."

Seraphina mumbled incoherently as she stared wide-eyed at the huge mass of corpses.

She looked up with a deathly pale face and, in the distance, saw Alaric standing silently on a mountain.

Mountain? Her blue eyes trembled as she realized that there was no mountain there before... When she focused her gaze, she felt her heart stop for an instant.

All... Those are all demon bodies? Seraphina almost fainted from the shock and horror she felt.

Each and every mountain, the entire ground, EVERYTHING that came into her range of vision was red and dead! Countless corpses plagued the area! She wanted to throw up but kept running forward.

Seraphina entered the place with a grim face and felt as if the world was falling down around her. Her legs lost all strength, and she fell straight to the ground in an embarrassing manner, but she didn’t have the heart to worry about how she looked. With great strength, she stood up and looked at her father in horror.

"What is wrong with him?" She had already felt from the treasury room that something was off with her father’s aura and felt a wave of unease, and that intensified when she heard all the explosions.

Alaric didn’t even glance at the fallen soldiers. He sheathed his sword, his body swaying slightly as if adjusting to this new form, but he quickly stabilized. He looked at the entrance and saw Seraphina, and he jumped as the wings behind his back fluttered and moved towards Seraphina’s direction with murderous intent.

"Seraphina, dodge!" Maria shouted, seeing her daughter had arrived, but she was a bit too late...

Rumble!

Victor turned into lightning and directly appeared right in front of Seraphina, and he blocked the attack with his scythe.

Bang!

"Fuck!" Victor cursed as he hissed in pain, feeling the bones in his arms crack due to the sheer force behind the attack. Even though he had used his Bloodline to transfer most of his stats into strength and defense at the last moment before the impact, if he had not, the situation would have been worse, and his hands should have turned to blood mist.

Alaric was forced to halt. His vacant gaze turned toward Victor.

"Give me that." Victor immediately snatched the vial from Seraphina’s hand.

Alaric, seeing Victor, directed more force into the strike, and as a result, he was flung backwards.

"Fuck!" Victor cursed as he felt himself getting flung back, and every bone in his body seemed to shatter. Right before he struck the wall, he uncorked the vial and drank the blood.

Bang!

"Victor!"

"Darling!"

Amber and Rina panicked when they saw Victor crashing into a pile of rubble.

Alaric was about to strike his daughter again when more soldiers rushed to pin him down.

"Your Majesty, calm down!" Some of the soldiers couldn’t bring themselves to strike their beloved king fatally; they could only try to block him with their bodies, even if just for one more second!

Alaric advanced like a giant elephant trampling through grass!

With every step, guards were sent flying, crushed, or knocked down.

Seeing this, Seraphina was completely furious and attacked him with all her might. "Father, get a hold of yourself! Don’t let whatever this power is control you!"

Alaric barely felt the attack and was about to deal the final blow when Maria and Jack attacked again. Their attacks were precise and effective, constantly opening new wounds on Alaric and delaying his movements.

"It’s useless if he keeps healing. We need a better solution," Jack said with cold sweat dripping from his forehead.

Roar!

Alaric roared in anger and raised his sword and was about to attack when his movements paused, and he moved his enraged head towards the rubble where Victor was buried. He suddenly felt a sense of danger and dashed towards the rubble, but was flung backwards by a mysterious force.

"What’s going on?" Seraphina exclaimed, seeing this, and Maria whispered, "Did it really work?"

"What worked? What kind of blood was inside the vial? I saw him drinking it before he was buried beneath the rubble," Seraphina asked, looking at Maria. Even Jack, Amber, Rina, and Valerie all looked at Maria for some answers.

"It was the blood of the Night Slayer we kept, and there was a prophecy that a King of the Luxem Bloodline would one day go BERSERK, and the Night Slayer would stop him by consuming this blood we kept for generations," Maria replied.

"What!" Jack and Seraphina were completely dumbfounded, and their eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. Even the others were speechless and looked towards the rubble in anticipation.

---

It hurts...

It really hurts...

It hurts like hell...

Although Victor’s brain wanted to shut down as an automatic response to the overwhelming measure of pain he was feeling, he wouldn’t let it. He knew that the moment his consciousness came to rest would mean the eternal end for him.

’Fuck, work. This daddy bet everything on you,’ Victor cursed inside his head as he eagerly waited for some kind of reaction after he had drunk the blood, and he was not disappointed.

[Ding]

[You have drunk the blood essence of ????]

As soon as the row of text appeared, Victor’s body stiffened, and his eyes turned vacant.

---

In the distance, the expressions of Isaac, Silent Reaper, and Mark, who were waiting for the battle to end, froze.

"What’s that?" Mark spoke with a trace of unease as he saw a gigantic silhouette appear from the place.

Mark’s eyes flashed and widened in shock as he looked at the blurry silhouette growing weaker and weaker in front of the practically dead human. "Is that a soul?"

"...Looks like one." Isaac frowned tightly as he felt a bad premonition in his heart. "But it’s clearly not any kind of ghost... but a pure soul."

"Let’s go and see." Even though he felt he should not go there, as his instincts were screaming of danger, out of curiosity, he ignored his instincts.

---

"What’s happening?" Amber spoke in a daze, looking at Maria, who smiled bitterly as she also had no clue.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t think too much, as not only was that blurry silhouette soon swept away by the wind, but Alaric, who was feeling the danger, immediately clutched his sword, and dark mist surrounded his sword like he was charging his attack as he released his attack as a black beam shot towards the rubble.

Bang!

The sound caused by the beam fired by the demon king was that of an explosion; the explosion that was born as a result of the sonic barrier being shattered.

"Damn!" Amber and Rina cursed as they were the most anxious and stood frozen, as they knew they could not do anything. Rina and Amber tried to erect an ice and light barrier, but to no avail, as it was instantly shattered when the beam hit the barriers.

If the attack connected, there was no doubt that Victor would die.

Just at that critical moment for everyone, where many things would change after another instant, a split second before the beam came into the 100-meter range near Victor, a pillar of bright red light burst from the rubble and struck the beam, which instantly turned into stone.

"This... the sealing power of Night Slayers." Isaac, who had just arrived, had his eyes widened, and his body started to tremble when he felt something lock their gaze on him.
