Chapter 272: Ch-272: Tier 5 Night Slayer vs Tier 6 Devil King

’Don’t tell me he wants to seal me and torture me,’ Isaac thought with a deathly pale face and looked at Silent Reaper and Mark with a deadly gaze.

Mark and Silent Reaper, who were looking at the attack that had turned into stone with horror, felt a chill run down their spines and felt a wave of danger, but before they could react, they felt immense pain shoot from their chests and saw a hand through their chests, with their beating hearts in the hand.

They turned around stiffly and saw Isaac looking at them indifferently.

"Fuck, I knew I shouldn’t have trusted a devil," Silent Reaper said bitterly as the next moment, he ended up dead.

Mark looked down at his sister, and for a moment, their gazes met as he felt his life leave his body.

"What’s that bastard doing?" Maria, who had seen her biological brother die, felt no pang of sympathy but looked at Isaac with a gaze filled with hatred and confusion. She knew he was responsible for her husband’s rampage and watched curiously as she saw him harvest their hearts and bring them close to his lips.

Blood splattered across his lips as he took a bite of Mark’s heart. After eating it, he frowned and then took another bite from Silent Reaper’s heart and sighed. "Looks like I have no other choice, but surviving comes first."

He shot a grave look towards the rubble, which started to shake violently, and hurriedly brought the heart of the Primordial Devil and consumed it.

Instantly, his body trembled, and his aura surged.

Everyone, including the now-controlled Alaric, looked at Isaac.

"This—this aura..." Jack’s face turned pale as he felt a crushing pressure bore down on him.

"T-Tier 6," Seraphina said with a paper-white face and thought, ’It’s over. We’re fucked.’

Maria clenched her fist and made the decision to escape with her children while abandoning Alaric, as in her eyes, he was a lost cause, but suddenly...

Black lightning erupted from beneath the rubble as the debris disintegrated when the lightning touched it, and Victor slowly emerged from the rubble.

Isaac could not wait any longer; he had to attack immediately, or he might not get the chance, so he unleashed his strongest attack. He opened his mouth, and dozens of terrifying beams of darkness shot out.

"Victor, dodge!" Rina shouted, but Victor did not move at all and raised his hand like a puppet. A thin barrier appeared.

"What?" Isaac’s eyes bulged out when he saw his attacks being blocked, and he shouted, "I refuse to believe you can block my attack!"

He shouted as he poured more mana into his attack.

No one knew what was happening to Victor; the only thing everyone felt was terror as the beams slowly but surely penetrated further and further into the thin barrier.

"His aura changed." Maria pointed, with her beautiful eyes fixed intently on the pillar of light. "What is this strange feeling...?"

Her answer was not long in coming.

Like an exploding shell, the beam of darkness blasted as the thin barrier shattered.

Swoosh! ... Swoosh! ... Swoosh! ... Swoosh! ...

Not only was the wind cut into pieces, causing a void of nothingness to form in the area where Victor was standing, but the beam of darkness, whose magical force was equivalent to hundreds of intercontinental nuclear missiles, was suddenly canceled.

"We need to get away," Maria said with a pale face and was about to leave, but paused her movements and her pupils constricted when she saw the beams turn into stone and shatter into dust.

"This..." Even Maria’s heart shuddered upon seeing this; this was a realm of power she had never seen.

Victor did not stop as he ignored Isaac, and his eyes fell on Alaric, whose body hair stood on end, but before he could move, Victor appeared directly in front of him, and the scythe struck him in the chest.

"Huh, what’s going on?" Alaric, who had lost his mind, suddenly regained his clarity and looked at Victor, who had his scythe embedded inside his body, with a puzzled look. "Victor, what are you doing?"

He did not get any reply from Victor as he turned into lightning and shot towards the sky.

"Father!"

"Dear, you are back to normal!"

His head turned sharply towards Seraphina, Jack, and Maria, who came running to him with red eyes and were bewildered as they dog-piled him.

"I remember, I was losing control of my mind." Suddenly, he remembered what had happened and felt a chill run down his spine.

He looked at his family, who moved away from him, and asked, "What exactly happened?"

"Well..." Maria hesitated for a bit before she started to explain, and with each word, his face grew paler as he looked at the corpses of the soldiers.

"I have become a sinner," Alaric said with grief as he clenched his fist.

"It’s not your fault, it was that bastard," Maria said as she glared at Isaac hovering above them. Alaric also looked at him with eyes full of killing intent, but his eyes moved towards Victor and frowned. ’Something is wrong with him.’

Alaric frowned hard, and a glint of wariness shone in his eyes as he watched the young human.

"DIE!!!" Isaac, as he was going insane, launched another attack.

Rumble!!!!!!

Victor’s expression was still indecipherable and flat even in the face of the attacks that almost sent him to greet his grandfather in the other world.

"Seal."

An extremely ancient voice came out of his mouth, and not only the attack but even Isaac instantly turned into a stone statue.

Then Victor turned into lightning and shot to the sky.

"Flame Infusion."

"Gravity Manipulation."

"Giant Axe of Purgatory Lightning."

The sky rumbled as a humongous axe made up of black lightning formed above his head, and then, with a wave of his hand, it started to descend towards the statue. Isaac was completely aware even while he was sealed and was desperately trying to break free.

"Heavens..." Amber said with a pale face. She had seen this attack many times, but the sheer size and power behind the axe were hundreds of times greater.

"Quickly, hop on!" Alaric shouted urgently as he brought out a flying ship, and everyone hopped on as they flew further away.

"Formations!" Alaric immediately activated all the defensive formations in the city to protect the citizens. He did not care about the buildings, as the citizens mattered more, and they could always rebuild the city.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!! Bang!!! Bang!!!

Rumble...!!!!

The earth shook and split.

The sky wept and wailed.

Everyone watched in stunned silence as the royal castle was vaporized by the attack.
