Chapter 275: Wraith Jack’s Strange Behavior, Belith Appears

Chapter 275: Chapter 275: Wraith Jack’s Strange Behavior, Belith Appears

“Jack doesn’t want to see us? Then why does he want to see Aiden? That’s so strange,” Brock said slowly.

Catherine took a deep breath and shook her head. “Since I built the Black City, Jack has lived here. We’ve spent decades together, yet now he only wants to see that human.”

“What makes this human named Aiden so special?”

Catherine felt filled with confusion. She knew Jack better than Brock did.

Usually, no one could see Jack at times like this. You had to wait for him to show up on his own.

But Aiden? He actually made Jack appear by himself.

Catherine had never seen anything like this. She tried to recall the first time she had seen Aiden.

“Hmm, nothing special about him? Maybe just a bit calm, and he has one Mythic Rank item.”

“Wait… he seems to shine a bit brighter too?” Catherine thought to herself, and now she was genuinely curious about Aiden.

Without hesitation, she turned to Brock and asked about Aiden.

Meanwhile, inside the villa, Aiden suddenly felt like all the scenery in front of him was shaking wildly.

In the next second, he found himself inside the villa, surrounded by tall bookshelves piled high with books.

However, the sofa in front of him was empty; Wraith Jack was nowhere to be seen.

“That’s strange,” Bella’s voice echoed in Aiden’s mind. “It feels like the space has changed, but we’re still at the door. Aiden, what’s happening?”

Aiden narrowed his eyes slightly. Not only could Brock and Catherine not spot anything wrong, even Bella, hiding in his hair, noticed nothing.

Wraith Jack’s Strength was way too weird.

“Could it be that Wraith Jack has reached Demon God rank?” Aiden thought to himself. “That’s the only way to explain everything happening now compared to before.”

Just then, he heard Wraith Jack’s voice coming from the books all around him.

“Put the books you brought on the table, and you can leave.”

Aiden paused, a bit surprised. He had wanted to ask some questions.

“Anything else?” Wraith Jack asked.

Aiden nodded, ready to speak, but Wraith Jack’s voice cut in again.

“Go away. I don’t want to say anything right now. Come back another time.”

As soon as the words faded, the sofa, the table, the towering bookshelves, and the mountain of books all vanished from Aiden’s sight.

He was back at the villa entrance!

Aiden instinctively checked his hand, only to find the human books he had taken out were gone too.

“Is it over? What did Jack say?” Catherine rushed over immediately, asking with urgency.

Aiden shook his head. He felt something was off about Wraith Jack’s state.

“Sigh, I knew it would be like this. Jack hasn’t been seeing anyone for days now,” Brock muttered.

“Every time, we have to wait so long before we can see him again,” Catherine sighed.

However, the disappointment on her face quickly disappeared.

She realized that if Jack was willing to see Aiden, it meant Aiden was definitely someone special. The Black City’s crisis would surely be resolved safely.

She refused to hand over any Abyss creature from the Black City, even a common one, not even Irene.

When facing those giant Skeletons, she actually wanted to fight.

But even if those Skeletons were dealt with, the Black City’s crisis wouldn’t be over.

Because the real danger was Belith, who was currently cleansing the Crimson Mosquito Clan!

Inside Brock’s shop, Aiden was ready to activate the Supreme Miko’s blessing for long-distance teleportation.

Irene took a deep breath. Suddenly, red light erupted from her body. Her form quickly dissolved into thousands of tiny red mosquitoes, each the size of a thumb.

From close range, Aiden noticed that the mosquito proboscises emitted a chilling aura filled with danger.

“Humans, I’ll attach to your surface in a moment. Try not to resist too much, or it will ruin the teleportation array,” Irene’s voice echoed.

Aiden nodded. Watching the terrifying red mosquitoes swarm toward him, they stuck to his gear in the blink of an eye.

At first glance, he looked like he was wearing a red battle suit. It was strikingly visible and radiated a deadly killing intent.

Aiden suddenly felt a huge boost to his Strength, speed, and defense. His body was flooded with endless mana.

This enhancement was as good as using Defy Fate Sacrifice!

“Humans, you should be honored. Once the Crimson Mosquito Clan attaches to another creature, we grant many buffs that boost their combat power,” Irene’s voice said.

Aiden couldn’t help but clench his fist and slam a punch forward.

Boom!

A massive roar shook the air instantly. His fist, heavy with huge Strength, rubbed against the air at high speed, flashing with intense red-white light.

Even though he didn’t hit anything, the punch created a powerful shockwave that blew all the items in Brock’s shop away.

Brock didn’t care about the scattered items. Instead, he studied Aiden closely and said, “Your Strength is quite impressive for a human Warrior-class Reclasser…”

He stopped mid-sentence, then suddenly realized something. He froze and widened his eyes in shock.

“Wait… didn’t I remember you as a Mage-class Reclasser?”

“How do you have such incredible Strength?”

Aiden slowly retracted his fist. He estimated that in this current state, a simple swing of his fist was enough to kill a Mythic Rank Demon genius of the same level.

“It must be due to Irene’s own power,” Aiden thought to himself. “I have to say, this feeling is absolutely addictive.”

He even started thinking that he could wait a bit before activating the long-distance teleportation. He just wanted to savor this sensation of being filled with immense Strength.

Before, his fights always involved casting powerful skills from a distance to eliminate enemies.

Now, however, he wanted to try hand-to-hand combat—the feeling of landing solid blows on flesh and bone.

Unfortunately, Irene’s voice cut in at that exact moment, urging him: “Alright, hurry up and start.”

Aiden put those thoughts aside and reached out to activate the teleportation.

But right then, the calm atmosphere of the Black City was suddenly shattered by a terrifying oppressive pressure.

A colossal figure, a thousand meters long, descended from the sky. It made the already dark Abyss feel even more suffocating.

“Irene, you cannot escape!” A deafening voice roared across the entire Black City.

The ground trembled violently. Items on the surface shook uncontrollably.

Catherine, Brock, and Aiden immediately looked up at the figure in the sky, radiating pure destruction.

“It’s over! It’s Belith! How did she get here so fast?” Irene’s voice turned panicked.

Catherine took a deep breath. Her black face mask instantly covered her exquisite features.

With a sudden motion, she extended her right hand. In mid-air, a massive halberd materialized instantly.

“Get out! I’ll hold her off!” Catherine reacted instantly. She crouched slightly and launched herself into the air like a cannonball.

“Aiden, go!” Brock grabbed a massive hammer from his shop, swung it wildly, and hurled it skyward. His small body leaped after the hammer, following Catherine’s trail.

Aiden didn’t hesitate; he immediately activated the long-distance teleportation.

At the same time, he couldn’t help but ask, “What is the real strength of this Belith?”

“A Superior Demon God!” Irene’s voice trembled with fear. “If the Swarm revival continues at this speed, she’ll break through to Supreme God soon.”

Aiden gasped in shock. A Superior Demon God was far more powerful than Theodore.

But what exactly was this “Swarm revival”?

He had no time to ask further. Suddenly, a six-pointed star formed beneath his feet, and the surrounding space began to ripple.

0.5 seconds later, the spatial teleportation array was complete.

“Trying to escape?” The colossal figure in the sky locked its gaze onto Aiden.

The mere intensity of that stare made Aiden feel like he was suffocating. It felt as though a mountain was crushing him, pressing down on every single cell in his body.

And this was only while wearing Irene’s essence!

“Is a Superior Demon God really that terrifying?” Aiden thought, his heart racing.

Thankfully, the teleportation array had fully formed, and his figure vanished in an instant.

Three thousand kilometers away, in a desolate canyon, Aiden suddenly reappeared.

He gasped for air, his trembling body slowly calming down.

Meanwhile, the red mosquitoes clinging to him quickly detached and reformed into Irene.

“Quick! Don’t stop! We have to leave now! If we stay here, Belith might track us down soon!” Irene said palely, her words rushing out.

Aiden glanced at her and replied, “We are three thousand kilometers away from the Black City!

Even if Belith is a Superior Demon God, she can’t catch us that fast, right?”

Irene shook her head frantically. “No! Belith isn’t just using one Force of Laws. She controls the spatial Force of Laws too. She can…”

Before she could finish, Aiden suddenly realized that the space around him and Irene was beginning to vibrate violently!
