Chapter 161: You Are Mine, Don’t Let Anyone Else Touch You
Chapter 161: Chapter 161: You Are Mine, Don’t Let Anyone Else Touch You
Si Jin’s expression was terrifyingly dark.
His eyes churned with a brutal, murderous intent so potent it was almost tangible.
He wasted no more words.
More Dark Power erupted from around him, rushing straight for the man.
No fancy spiritual power attacks, no probing strikes, only the most direct and brutal hand-to-hand combat!
His fist smashed toward the other man’s face.
The man’s gaze flickered, but he didn’t meet the blow head-on. Instead, he sidestepped with extreme speed.
Si Jin’s punch met empty air, the force of it tearing through the atmosphere with a sharp whistle.
The next instant, the man’s figure appeared on a rock several yards away.
He stood there with a casual air, looking down on Si Jin from his higher vantage point.
"So angry?" His voice was still languid, his tone light. "I was just chatting with her. I didn’t do anything."
"Bullshit!" Si Jin gritted his teeth. "What was your spiritual power doing just now? You think I couldn’t see?!"
The man tilted his head as if in thought.
"Spiritual power?" he repeated, then suddenly gave a soft chuckle. "She was the one who entangled with me first. I was just... responding."
Si Jin’s pupils contracted abruptly, and he subconsciously looked toward Yun Sheng.
She was still leaning against the tree, her cheeks flushed, her breathing rapid, and her gaze unfocused. She clearly hadn’t recovered from the aftereffects of their spiritual power entanglement.
Si Jin had seen that look many times; he knew exactly what it meant.
His fists clenched again, his knuckles cracking.
"You... Stop trying to provoke me! You must have done something! Yun Sheng doesn’t even know you, how could she possibly initiate..."
"Who says we don’t know each other?"
The man suddenly interrupted him, the amber-gold light in his eyes swirling faintly.
A meaningful smile played on his lips.
"We’ve met. Perhaps even earlier than you."
Si Jin’s expression changed slightly.
"We met at least once before she came to the Capital Star," the man said slowly, glancing at Yun Sheng, who was still leaning against the tree. "Don’t believe me? Ask her."
His tone was laced with confidence and a hint of amusement, as if he wasn’t the least bit afraid of Si Jin asking.
Si Jin’s gaze froze.
’Before she came to the Capital Star?’
’If what he’s saying is true, then he really did know Yun Sheng before I did!’
’Then he and Yun Sheng... what is their relationship?!’
Si Jin’s expression grew darker and darker, and the Dark Power surging around him became increasingly violent.
Just then, the Holy Light White Tiger suddenly charged into the valley. It dove down at top speed and landed in front of the tree Yun Sheng was leaning against.
Its beastly eyes locked onto the man on the rock, a low, threatening growl rumbling in its throat, as if ready to pounce at any moment.
The man glanced at the White Tiger, then at the Abyssal Giant Wolf, before his gaze finally returned to Si Jin.
"The current War God’s spiritual body is here too... To be able to make the two of you care so much, and also make me..."
He didn’t finish his sentence, but something new had appeared in his misty eyes.
He looked again at Yun Sheng, still leaning against the tree, his gaze profound.
"I’m truly curious about her. I really want to know what secrets she’s hiding. Why don’t you lend her to me for a few days..."
Before the man could finish speaking, Si Jin moved.
His figure vanished from the spot. The next second, he appeared before the man, bringing down a punch wrapped in a monstrous wave of Dark Power.
The man’s gaze hardened. He raised a hand, and a transparent barrier instantly materialized in front of him.
BOOM!
The fist slammed into the barrier, erupting with a deafening roar.
The shockwave spread in all directions, making the entire valley tremble!
At the same time, the Holy Light White Tiger also leaped up, transforming into a silvery-white stream of light as it lunged at the man’s back.
Its sharp claws tore through the air, aiming straight for his heart!
Without turning his head, the man waved his other hand behind him, and another barrier materialized.
The White Tiger’s claws scraped viciously against the barrier but couldn’t advance an inch.
One in front and one behind, the two barriers simultaneously blocked the pincer attack from Si Jin and the White Tiger!
The man’s figure hadn’t moved in the slightest. He even had the spare energy to chuckle softly.
"The current War God’s spiritual body, plus the former War God... This is quite the reception."
As he spoke, he suddenly glanced down below.
The Abyssal Giant Wolf stood steadfastly in front of Yun Sheng, a deep blue barrier enveloping her completely.
Its eyes were fixed in their direction, ever vigilant, protecting the person behind it without moving an inch.
The man chuckled again.
"A pity that wolf didn’t attack as well. How clever of it, knowing to stay and guard her."
He retracted his gaze, looking at Si Jin, who was still seething with murderous intent, then glanced at the Holy Light White Tiger eyeing him menacingly from behind.
’There’s no point in continuing this fight.’
’Si Jin is holding back his full power because he’s worried about Yun Sheng, and on top of that, Bai Ye’s spiritual body is here.’
’Even if I can hold them off for now without losing ground, I won’t gain any advantage. If this drags on and Bai Ye himself shows up, I won’t have a chance to get away!’
The man’s eyes flickered, and a blinding light suddenly erupted from his body.
The light was so intense that Si Jin instinctively narrowed his eyes. When he opened them again, the man had already retreated to a rock several dozen yards away.
"Let’s end it here for today." His voice drifted over. "The next time we meet, I hope to hear her tell me those secrets herself."
Just as his voice faded, he turned to leave.
But his footsteps suddenly halted.
The man narrowed his eyes slightly, his gaze shifting toward Yun Sheng.
The spiritual body that had been hiding by Yun Sheng’s side, realizing its master had spotted it, stopped hiding and revealed its form.
Its furry head desperately nuzzled Yun Sheng’s calf, and its big, fluffy tail wrapped tightly around her ankle.
Yun Sheng looked down, her gaze still somewhat dazed, but she instinctively raised a hand and gently stroked its head.
The little creature nuzzled her even more happily, even pushing its luck by burrowing its head into her palm.
"Come back," the man’s voice commanded.
The little creature’s body stiffened. It looked up at Yun Sheng.
Its bright eyes were full of reluctance, moist and glistening as if it were about to cry.
It nuzzled her leg one last time before transforming into a stream of light and shooting toward the man.
Then, the man’s figure darted away at top speed, vanishing into the darkness in an instant.
Si Jin stood frozen, staring fixedly in that direction, the Dark Power around him churning like boiling magma.
"Don’t let me see you again."
He forced the words through gritted teeth, each one laced with a chilling coldness and murderous intent.
But then he spun around abruptly, diving down from mid-air.
Seeing it was him, the Abyssal Giant Wolf shook its head, somewhat reluctantly, before slowly moving aside.
Si Jin quickly moved forward, reached out, and swept Yun Sheng into his arms.
The force was so great it was as if he wanted to crush her into his very bones, yet it was accompanied by a careful tremor, terrified of hurting her.
"Yun Sheng..." he called her name in a low, hoarse voice.
The woman in his arms still carried the lingering aura of that strange man’s spiritual power. The aura clung to her, as if declaring ownership.
A flash of brutality crossed Si Jin’s eyes.
Then he calmed himself. With a cold expression, he used his own spiritual power to meticulously, inch by inch, cover, dispel, and erase every trace of the aura on Yun Sheng that wasn’t his.
Like a beast marking its territory.
Domineering.
And yet, tinged with an inexplicable sense of being wronged.
"You’re mine," Si Jin’s muffled voice came from the crook of Yun Sheng’s neck. "Don’t let anyone else touch you."
