Chapter 3576 A Threat
Chapter 3576 A Threat
Newheaven fell into thought for a long moment, seemingly taking her time with her decision.
"Can I look at the technique before I make the decision?" she asked.
"My apologies, Your Brilliance, but I do not intend to show you the technique. I will be passing it along directly to my family," Alex said.
Newheaven's expression didn't change. "Why is that?"
"Because it is a technique that I came up with. I do not wish to pass it along to others," Alex said.
"Just so I'm clear, you are aware of just how incredibly valuable this technique of yours is if it is true," Newheaven said. "The fact that one can have multiple Creations is not something someone is just going to let go if they find out about it. Even I cannot say that I can hold back my greed. I may force you to reveal the technique to me. Or maybe I'll get it from one of your family members too."
Alex shrugged. "That's perfectly fine with me if that is what you choose to do, Your Brilliance."
Newheaven raised an eyebrow. "So it is fine?"
"It's fine in that I can understand if that is what you want to do," Alex said. "Having said that, if you force me or my family to reveal this technique, there is nothing good that can come out of this. On one hand, the only person I imagine you really care about gaining this technique is Ronron, who will have already received it. Since you or anyone else above the Immortal realm can't use it, it is useless to you all."
"On the other hand, by stealing from me or my family, you will be making an enemy out of me. While I may not be a threat to you just yet, I am someone with the highest talent you've ever seen, someone who has multiple Creations already, and has already accessed the Primordial energy. Your only choice in that instance will be to kill me while I am still weak, the likelihood of which happening is very low because I am the current Undying God. I will come back to life no matter what."
"On the off chance that you do manage to kill me, you should remember that the prophecy claims that the world is doomed should I die. So, in a way, if you wish to force this technique from my hand, Your Brilliance, you will be dooming yourself and this world."
"So, I suggest that you let it go right now, and I will give Ronron the technique. When she grows and replaces you, she will be the next Sky God with the technique. I will not force her to keep it to herself at that point, so she will be free to share it with anyone she wishes, which should be in favor of the Sky God's Palace, shouldn't it?"
The Sky God stared blankly for a long moment, as everything Alex had just rattled off was an extremely convoluted way of making a threat. And yet, at the same time, it was so legitimate that she couldn't even act against it.
She leaned back in her seat, slowly shaking her head. "As long as you are telling the truth that you will not put any restrictions on your daughter to share the technique in favor of the cult after she has ascended to Godhood, I am perfectly happy to go along with your request."
"Thank you," Alex said with a bow.
"On a different note, was that the truth?" she asked. "I had heard about you gaining the Undying God's physique, but that wasn't one of the things I had in my inventory. Where did you end up receiving it?"
"It was not something that came from the treasures that Senior Yang brought down with him," Alex said. "It was already in the lower realm to begin with. The 7th Undying God fled to the lower realm and gave the power to another person, who then left it behind as an inheritance, which I found."
The Sky God blinked in surprise. "I'm sorry, are you claiming to be the 9th person to hold the Undying God's physique?" she asked.
"I am," Alex said.
"Hmm…" the Sky God fell into some thought. "Our records only hold 4 different possible holders of that physique. I hadn't realized there were 9 in total now."
"That is understandable," Alex said. "A few of them didn't show up on the battlefield, so you might not have known about them."
"Perhaps so," the Sky God said. "On that note, speaking of the things you found in the lower realm, I would like to ask you to hand over a few of the things you still have on you."
Alex paused for a moment. "I will hand over the Nine Yang Divine Tree to the Nine Yang Court whenever they arrive. As for the World Tree, I must implore you to continue letting me keep it."
"That's fine. I considered your arguments from the previous time, and I think it is fine to let you keep the trees. It's the other things you hold that I want you to return."
"Oh. What are they?" Alex asked.
"Let's see," the Sky God said, thinking through her information. "From what I understand, you took a few things other than the trees that should be in the treasury. The first is Bladedance's sword, but I cannot ask you to return that to me, since you already did."
"The second is the space stone that Renye stole, but you already added it into your Soul Space, so I cannot do much there either. I could make you pay for it, but it was my disciple's crime, and I won't punish you for it."
"Aside from that, there are two books that you must hand back. The first of which is the Alchemy God's book. I assume you've made great use of it, but it is time to return it."
"And the second one is the Blood God's Manual. I should hand it over to the Blood God's cult if possible."
