Rachel felt the excitement flee her soul when her gaze fell on that last message. For some reason, the last message felt more like a remark, one with no good feelings attached, than an actual notification.

And what Rachel didn't know was that while the mysterious being was shocked to the point of feeling numb, the very last message had escaped their attention.

The being had been drawn to Rachel for one reason and one reason alone, made apparent by her obviously weak Class.

Her Will.

There was a reason why the young girl had not been able to manifest her Will like Kael, his sister, and even Alice had been able to.

There was just no way her soul could bear the full weight of such a supreme Will, which was why it was largely dormant, and if it wasn't for luck and certain circumstances, the mysterious being wouldn't have even known she possessed such a Will.

Yet, seeing Rachel display such an unnatural talent for mana, the presence was left speechless.

['Wait... what if the only reason her Class is Common is because...']

The being didn't dare to complete that thought, as the implication it brought was simply too terrifying to consider.

Rachel didn't know why the System was making such a big deal out of what she had just accomplished.

Compared to the geniuses around her, she felt far inferior, but she couldn't continue to dwell on this matter as she was still on a battlefield, and what a chaotic battlefield it was.

A Level 60 undead roared at her before charging towards her. On its way, an unsuspecting girl was trying to run away from another monster that had its sights on her, only for the Level 60 undead to collide with her.

There was no suspense at all.

The young girl literally exploded into a bloody mist, a shower of gore blooming around the undead's armor as it rushed at Rachel.

The latter's expression grew grave, and a flicker of fear flashed through her eyes.

Still, she gritted her teeth and pressed the panic that was about to rise back down. She had gone through a lot to succumb to a little fear now.

"Decoy!"

Her scepter slammed onto the ground, and mana enveloped her, just in time for three other Rachels to form within a radius of five meters around her.

Normally, Decoy was only supposed to allow the caster to create one clone at a distance of five meters around them and then switch positions with the clone.

But with the effect of the Mana Sovereignty Title taking charge, three clones were instead created.

The undead roared in anger when it felt no resistance from the figure it had just smashed through. Its body slid forward from its inertia, and before it could reorient itself, Rachel's voice sounded from behind it.

The true body had three massive missiles floating above her raised scepter, while her two other clones just remained still. The weakness of this Decoy skill was apparent, and Rachel felt like she could refine it, but she knew now wasn't the time.

She took control of the new missiles and launched them forward.

Unfortunately, her aim was poor, and only one of them hit its target.

— BANG!

The massive blue orb exploded upon impact, throwing the zombie back.

The creature roared in anger, with only a few cracks on its chest bone armor marking the only visible damage left behind by the attack.

It slashed a claw in her direction, and five crimson streaks arced through the air towards Rachel's figure.

Scared, the young girl switched places with another clone before the projectile attack had even reached halfway.

[Tsk... such poor battle sense.]

Rachel ignored the remark from the mysterious being and focused on the creature, which had felt movement from her new position.

'Another mistake...'

Rachel noted. She should have waited for a moment, allowing the creature time to become confused about her new position.

Still, she could only press forward, and she formed a new Magic Missile.

Under the effect of her S-Rank Title, three appeared above her. But this time, Rachel didn't launch them immediately.

She still remembered how the initial missiles could rotate, and she tried to reproduce the spinning motion.

Her mana pooled out around her in such waves that a small swirl of blue formed around her.

The swirl moved towards the three basketball-sized orbs, and Rachel tried to add a spin to the attack.

At first, she failed, the mistake causing the spell to dissipate.

With the System not registering her new spell, she could only control the entire process herself.

Rachel had to do her best to resist the urge to instantly switch places with the last clone, the other one having already been dissipated by the streaks of red lines. But in the end, she gritted her teeth and formed three new orbs above her.

Only now did she realize a major perk of what she had accomplished. The original Magic Missile had a five-second cooldown, but with this spell having been made by her, why would there be such a weakness?

Rachel didn't know this yet, but not even Legendary Class holders had such a perk. This would only start showing from the Mythical Rank, and that too, with only a few skills.

What did that mean?

Rachel, a Common-Rank Awakened, was enjoying a benefit of Mythical-Rank and above Class holders!

Despite focusing her best, Rachel's attempt still failed. But this time, she had been prepared, so before the destabilization could fully spread, she was able to disperse the unstable mana before the spell collapsed completely.

By now, the creature was already twenty meters from her, and even from this distance, Rachel could smell its foul stench.

But she pulled through the smell and dedicated her entire mind to achieving her goal.

The world slowly faded away around her, and the only thing that remained in her vision was those three orbs.

Rachel's Will, unknown to her, slowly wrapped around the three spheres of mana.

She didn't try to force them.

Instead, she carefully guided the mana within each orb, allowing it to flow in a circular motion.

At first, nothing happened.

The mana resisted her control, constantly threatening to destabilize.

Rachel's brows furrowed. But she didn't quit, and instead, tried again.

A tiny rotation appeared within the first orb before vanishing.

Again.

This time, the rotation lasted a little longer.

Rachel's concentration deepened as she poured more of her Will into the spell, slowly guiding the swirling mana around itself.

Then....

The first orb rotated once.

Rachel's eyes widened. She immediately replicated the same movement with the second.

Then the third.

The rotations became faster.

Faster.

And faster.

Until the three basketball-sized orbs were spinning rapidly above her, the mana within them whirling with increasing intensity.

- ZING! ZING! ZING!

The high pitched sound of rapidly rotating mana filled the battlefield, three spheres of blue light spinning above Rachel's scepter like miniature storms.

The undead lunged at her, its mouth stretching unnaturally wide as it prepared to swallow her whole.

But its jaws only snapped around empty air as the final clone disappeared.

Now five meters behind the creature, Rachel launched the three orbs forward, one after another, in rapid succession.

The monster barely had time to turn before the first orb smashed against it, and with a rough cracking sound, the armor on its chest crumbled.

The orb ripped into its flesh before exploding.

- BOOM!

A massive shockwave spread out, dust rising into the air.

Rachel had to do her all to find the monster, which had been sent flying several meters back.

The creature rose slowly, black corrupted blood pooling beneath it.

- GRRR!

Rachel quickly controlled the second orb to land on its mutilated chest and the last to collide with its head, almost simultaneously.

- BOOOOM!

- BOOOOM!

The shockwaves this time were enough to send her retreating three steps before she stabilized.

There was no need to wait for the plumes of dust to settle.

The message flashing before her already confirmed the result.

[Congratulations! You have killed a Level 60 Undead (Common).]

[You have received...]

[Congratulations! You have leveled up to...]

[+5 Mana and +5 Mind.]

[You have received +2 Free Attribute Points.]

[+15 AP received for killing an opponent more than 30 levels above you.]

"Hahaha..."

...

...

In one go, Rachel's level rose by twelve, and that too, by killing her first monster by relying solely on her own strength.

A wave of laughter resounded from beneath the darkness of her cloak, and two drops of tears fell to the ground. At the same time, a small worm quickly slithered out of her opened mouth, before diving back into her body, through her left ear

But on this battlefield, where monsters clashed and survivors fought desperately for their lives, no one paid attention to the young girl.

At least, no one but Principal Martin.

While the others were either struggling or had their attention pulled by Alice and Kael, who had started clashing with the Epic-Rank bear, the old man had been observing Rachel.

And what he saw made him grin.

His hands spread out, and two purple discs appeared, floating a few inches above his palms.

With a wave of his hands, the two discs streaked through the air in different directions as they expanded greatly, revealing the void of darkness within their depths.

Two undead about to mutilate two helpless survivors were swallowed by the discs, their figures soon appearing far away in the distance a moment later.
