CHAPTER 151: CLASH OF TITANS I

Kael was speechless as he gazed at Alice's majestic figure. Through the Elite-Rank Archive fragment, he had learnt that Order Imprints, the main defining power of the First Order that came with the awakening of a core, were separated into ranks.

Bronze, Silver, Gold...

Yet, till date, Kael had never seen anyone with a Silver Imprint, but here was Alice.

Wisps of golden light rose from her now five-meter-high titanic figure, and despite her increase in size, she still appeared slender.

- GROAR!

The roar of the Epic-Rank bear that still towered over Alice despite her transformation pulled Kael out of his stupor.

'It is time to see how strong I have become.'

As Alice took slow but steady steps forward, Kael also prepared himself to fight at his full power.

[Ignition Mantle has been activated!]

Golden flames erupted from his body before retreating and condensing around his frame to form a regal cloak of golden fire.

Kael decisively spent twenty units of Energi, and with a wet tearing sound, four more Weaver limbs erupted from his back.

- Shing!

The sound of two short swords being pulled out of their scabbards pierced through the chaos in the area, and just as Alice's massive hands fell back to her front, the eight obsidian-black limbs behind Kael spun and launched webs forward.

Pulled by her hands, Kael was catapulted instantly above Alice, his legs facing the skies and his head the earth. Yet, his piercing blue eyes remained fixed on the bear that blurred before Alice.

Maws opened wide to reveal four long fangs, two up and two down, with another set of smaller fangs filling its mouth. Taking advantage of its inertia, the beast's head snapped forward to rip Alice's head from her shoulders and end the battle in an instant.

Alice squatted, the bear's head snapping above her without purchase, with golden trails left from Alice's rapid movement surrounding its head like firecrackers. With nimble steps that defied her size, she sidestepped around the bear even in her lowered position.

Yet, what she found waiting for her were five sharp claws tearing through the air with a whooshing sound to split her into pieces.

It was then Kael reached his maximum height above the skies. The limbs behind him danced like they were leading an orchestra. Webs shot down instantly to wrap around the bear's limb, and with his intent, they contracted rapidly, pulling down to the path of the claw attack. He swung below the paw, and with a loud grunt, pulled with all his might.

The web wrapping around the paw about to hit Alice suddenly glowed with a dirty yellow light, and before the bear could react, it found its right limb bound in place.

As if already expecting such a result, Alice's left hand fell down, the now gigantic blade of her soul weapon tearing into the inner arm of the bear.

- ROAR!

The bear grunted in pain as its brown fur was torn apart and blood cascaded down like a waterfall. Yet, the silver blade was unable to cut deeper into its bones, but Alice didn't seem to care.

The beast was still screaming when her other blade drew horizontally across the bear's torso, sending another wave of blood down.

The pain in the bear's crimson eyes gave way to anger, and with a low snarl, it tore through the webs surrounding its right limb and brought both of its limbs smashing down on Alice.

The muscles below Alice's thigh flexed as she jumped back and retreated safely from the bear's attack.

- BOOOOM!

The bear's claws smashed into the ground, leaving ten long gorges. A massive shockwave spread out, sending a plume of dust billowing into the air that obscured the beast for a moment.

However, just as Alice's leg came in contact with the ground, she lunged forward almost instantly, blowing the rising plumes of dust away and revealing the bear, which was yet to balance itself.

The bear could only widen its eyes as a right foot smashed the side of its head, sending it sprawling to the ground. The short blades in Alice's hands spun twice as she reversed her grip and smashed her hands down with the aim to pierce through the bear's skull and deal with it once and for all.

The bear's eyes glowed with an intelligent light even as the two massive guillotines drew closer and death approached. It was a mighty Level 93 Epic-Rank beast and could tell that Alice had not even reached Level 50. Which was why the beast had disdained using any of its bloodline skills and opted to overwhelm them with its physical strength.

But who would have thought it would not even last ten breaths? From the moment it attacked, it had been beaten badly and even wounded twice, and now, it was even about to face death.

It didn't dare to rely on its fleshy defenses as it saw two hiltless blades suddenly glow behind the closed eyes of this titanic blue creature towering above it, despite its other facial features remaining undefined.

The bear felt as if its body was about to be cut into several pieces just from the activation of Alice's Will. It didn't dare to receive an attack enhanced by such a terrifying force with only its flesh. Not to mention that annoying fly that kept bugging around him and distracting its focus.

It acknowledged it had underestimated them, but...

No more.

- BOOOOM!

Alice was instantly sent flying from the massive wave of mana that exploded into the surroundings. Caught off guard, Kael was also almost sent flying, but he knew how devastating such a result would be.

He could only grit his teeth and spin more webs around the bear even as they were effortlessly torn apart.

The temperature in the surroundings rose instantly, as the earth turned scorching red-hot. Soon after, pools of magma formed on the ground, as the panic cries of the survivors rang through the area.

"Run!"

The heat that slammed into them made them feel like they were being cooked alive, and were incomparable to Py's flames. But that comparison was unfair to the little phoenix, as her flames would always be warm to allies, and only her unfortunate enemies could feel the full brunt of her Aeternal flames.

Still, as the survivors ran away in panic even as the undead chased after them, they turned around to see a hellish sight that almost pulled them into despair.

"Oh God! Why have you abandoned us?"

"Run!"

"We are all going to die, hahaha!"

Behind them could only be described as a domain of fiery hell. The earth had turned into molten slag and magma, and columns of fire erupted into the sky at irregular intervals.

And there, at the center of the over-100-meter domain was a creature almost ten meters tall, covered in a thick shell of hardened magma.

Two massive orbs opened high above the smoke of fiery explosions, their depths glowing with a crimson menace as they gazed at Alice, who had retreated away to the edge of the domain.

To think it would have to unleash its full strength to deal with a being fifty levels below it? They would pay for this humiliation!

Opening its jaws, a crimson light glowed within its throat as an angry cry pierced into the gloomy skies and made the eardrums of the faraway survivors rumble.

- GROOOOOAAAAR!
