Over the following several external days, Adrian remained in Andromeda, spending time with Hestia and others, and resumed his responsibilities within the Crimson Vital Sect. His appearances at the Crimson Spire, his inspection of the expanding Healing Artifact division, his meetings with the elders, and the authentication of his true UNI-OS account all restored the visible presence that had been absent during his supposed closed-door cultivation.

Once those responsibilities had been handled, Adrian returned to the concealed headquarters of the Origin Sect in Virelith. The folded spatial layers surrounding its seventeen worlds admitted him without disturbance, and the Central Origin Construct carried him through its internal transport system until he reached one of the Founder-grade training chambers Hestia had prepared. He entered alone, crossed the broad floor, and sat at the center of the otherwise empty room with his legs folded beneath him.

The chamber recognized his authority immediately. Lines of pale-golden light emerged beneath Adrian and spread across the floor before climbing the walls toward the ceiling. Thousands of runes awakened inside those lines, and the temporal flow surrounding him changed as a second Time Formation activated within the formation already covering Origin's entire headquarters.

The first layer converted one external day into four years throughout the headquarters. The formation embedded inside this chamber possessed the same ratio, converting every headquarters day into four chamber-years. Because the second formation acted upon the time already produced by the first, a single ordinary day beyond Virelith would grant Adrian thousands of subjective years inside the chamber.

This was the same nested arrangement he had used while expanding his Mana Sea to one billion units. During that cultivation, Adrian had been forced to construct and inscribe the inner formation himself. Hestia had now incorporated the entire system into the chamber, along with the energy supply, containment layers, and restoration formations needed for his experiments. He only needed to enter and activate what she had prepared.

Adrian's eyes turned white-grey as he observed the pale-golden rules flowing through the walls. Beneath those structures ran Temporal Continuity, preserving an unbroken relationship between the history before the acceleration, everything that occurred within it, and the existence that eventually emerged.

Adrian watched the formation for a few minutes before allowing the Source Eyes to fade. He had already comprehended those rules and understood their functions, so this was not another breakthrough. It was a useful reminder that knowing a rule did not grant him experience with every structure that rule could form.

He closed his eyes, and his consciousness descended into the Source Seed. The physical chamber disappeared from his awareness, replaced by the apparently boundless internal expanse that had grown with him. Countless chambers floated throughout that space, some burning with elemental radiance while others twisted distance, consumed light, or held conceptual depths that his present comprehension had yet to exhaust.

The objective Adrian had set for Origin demanded an inheritance capable of fulfilling five functions. Its cultivators had to teleport across the void, recover almost instantly from lethal wounds, move faster than an enemy's eyes could follow, anticipate attacks before they were completed, and unleash enough destructive force to erase anything that threatened them. Approaching each ability separately would require nearly a dozen arcane concepts, but placing all of them inside one divine concept would create an inheritance that few of his people could survive constructing.

Inside his Source Seed, Adrian could move the required rules into a new chamber without damaging the concepts from which they came. If the structure collapsed, he could dismantle it, reposition every fragment, and begin again without suffering permanent damage. The Rule Stage disciples of Origin possessed no such freedom, even after receiving the miniature Source Seeds granted through the Crown.

Those miniature seeds had transformed their comprehension speed and could silently correct energy flow when catastrophic strain threatened their lives. However, the experiences of the disciples who had recently reached the Rule Stage confirmed that the normal restrictions of divine-concept construction remained. Each arcane concept still formed its own essence seed, and forging a Rule Core required them to destroy the relevant seeds, endure the resulting pain, and extract only the rules demanded by the intended divine concept.

The extracted fragments then had to be joined in the correct order and balance until they stabilized as one higher truth. A consumed essence seed could not simply be reformed, while an error during construction could collapse the forming Rule Core and permanently damage the cultivator's foundation. The miniature seed did not provide separate chambers, or make that irreversible process painless.

Origin's disciples therefore remained bound specifically by the same essence-seed sacrifice, rule-extraction, and Rule-Core formation limits as ordinary cultivators. Adding more arcane concepts meant sacrificing more seeds in one attempt, while the increasing number of interactions between their rules created additional points where the structure could fail.

Hestia was the only other exception Adrian had witnessed. After the will within the Source selected her as its First General, her conventional essence seeds and Astral Core had been replaced by a single chambered foundation. She could dismantle Crimson Genesis into its component concepts and reconstruct it without the backlash that should have destroyed anyone else, but Adrian still did not know why the Source had chosen her or how to reproduce that transformation for another person.

So overall, he could not design Origin's inheritance on the assumption that every disciple would someday receive the same exception. Until he understood how another General could be created, the concept had to remain compatible with the cultivation system his people actually possessed.

The wider universe had already established the most reliable solution. Powerful sects generally created one foundational divine concept and then a second concept whose rules were designed to fit naturally into it. Once a cultivator mastered both, the two Rule Cores could be fused into an Astral Core, dividing the difficulty across two structured inheritances instead of forcing every desired ability into a single construction.

The Void Sect demonstrated the potential of that path. According to what Adrian had learned from Sylas, its foundational divine concept combined Fire, Ice, Space, Shadow, and Gravity, while its second joined Void, Entropy, Silence, Erosion, and Boundary. Both were Ultimate-tier divine concepts in their own right, and their compatibility produced an Astral Core far beyond the inheritances available to ordinary sects.

The Crimson Vital Sect offered a more familiar comparison. Crimson Vital Dominion used Vitality, Blood, Force, and Pressure, while Verdant Genesis used Life, Water, Light, and Plant. Both were Mid-tier divine concepts, and even after Adrian and Hestia fused them perfectly into Crimson Genesis, it was only a High-tier divine concept, and the resulting Astral Core possessed a maximum authority of eighty percent.

The contrast showed Adrian how heavily the first foundation would influence everything built upon it. A Mid-tier concept might be easier to teach, but its limitation would remain after Astral ascension. Origin required an Ultimate-tier foundation arranged precisely enough that its disciples could reproduce it through a defined sequence instead of gambling their foundations upon experimentation.

The number of component concepts did not decide that tier by itself. Verdant Genesis and Crimson Vital Dominion each used four arcane concepts, while the Void Sect's foundation used five, but adding a fifth concept did not automatically create an Ultimate-tier result. The strength and purity of the selected rules, the way they reinforced one another, and the higher truth produced by their union determined the authority of the completed concept.

With that distinction settled, Adrian decided to use Space, Life, Void, and Time for the foundational divine concept. Space and Life came first because they would govern movement and preservation, giving the concept the potential to reposition its cultivator while restoring the living structure carried through that movement. More importantly, the Elyrians' Ultimate-tier divine concept had already proven that rules belonging to Space and Life could coexist within one stable architecture, and Adrian had studied how its opposing elements supported one another instead of colliding.

Void became the third component. Space could connect separate locations, but Void governed the medium between galaxies and could allow Origin's disciples to operate where ambient mana and ordinary concepts offered little support. If the sect eventually expanded beyond Virelith and Andromeda, its cultivators could not remain dependent upon vessels, fixed gates, or external relics whenever they crossed intergalactic darkness.

Time completed the foundation. Its rules could potentially reinforce movement by changing the relationship between action and observation, while Temporal Branching offered a path toward anticipating attacks. The rule would not read an enemy's intent or reveal a guaranteed future. It would expose possible continuations developing from present conditions, allowing a cultivator to recognize likely attack paths before the corresponding physical action was completed.

That function would remain distinct from Fate and Causality, which governed truths that Time alone could not reproduce. Even an incomplete view of the immediate branches ahead, however, could give Origin's disciples the fraction of a moment needed to move before an opponent's chosen sequence became unavoidable.

The four concepts could therefore be organized around one purpose: preserving and moving living existence through Space, Void, and Time. If Adrian found the correct rules and a stable arrangement, the foundation could eventually provide healing, teleportation, void travel, speed, and predictive awareness. He could then reserve the destructive concepts for the second divine concept and design them to fit this foundation, completing the apocalyptic force he wanted the final Astral inheritance to possess.

Adrian first directed his awareness into the pale-golden Time chamber. Its outer rules established Sequence, Duration, and Progression, determining how one state followed another and how change advanced through the interval between them. Currents of Acceleration and Deceleration wound through those structures, while Suspension held isolated states motionless without severing them from the histories on either side.

Deeper within the chamber, the rules used by the physical training formation stretched vast intervals from far smaller ones and maintained separate temporal flows without allowing their boundaries to drift apart. Adrian's awareness moved past those familiar structures until he reached Temporal Branching, where one present divided into several pale-golden paths. Each branch carried a possible continuation born from the same existing conditions, yet only action would determine which path became part of lived history.

Adrian understood the operation of every rule before him. The Epoch Crucible had forced him to preserve his identity after his body, mana, life force, memories, and consciousness were dragged through different temporal states. Yet that comprehension had not given him practical experience combining these rules with Life, Space, and Void, and one careless interaction could produce a concept that functioned inside his Source Seed while remaining lethal to an ordinary disciple.

He willed an empty chamber into existence beside the four concepts he had selected. Its interior contained no essence or rule structure, only a waiting space in which he could begin assembling and testing the first framework of Origin's inheritance.

Adrian did not begin with Acceleration, Interval Expansion, or Temporal Branching. Before the concept could move a living being across the void, preserve that life through a lethal wound, or let its cultivator act upon a future that had not yet arrived, every change needed to remain connected to the existence that preceded it.

He reached into the Time chamber and moved the rule fragment of Temporal Continuity. The complete rule structure remained undisturbed as the fragment crossed the internal expanse and entered the empty chamber, where it settled as Adrian's first provisional choice for the foundational divine concept of the Origin Sect.
