Elder Kinston's Exclusive Sweet Wife

Chapter 1500 - 1541: Filing a Complaint

  • Next Chapter

Don’t be fooled by Mireille Yowell’s young age; she’s very cunning when it comes to her plans.

Mireille pretended to pull Nannan towards the main house. Seeing this, Clarence Xenos quickly said, "Young Miss, please don’t pull my sister. If you want to ride a horse, I’ll let you ride mine."

To protect his sister, Clarence was willing to compromise, even if he didn’t want to before. Especially since the situation was originally his fault. If he had listened to his mother and stayed in the room with his sister, none of this would have happened.

However, Mireille was not about to let this go easily, and shouted, "No way, I have to take your sister to see Grandpa May and the others. I want all of you to be punished!"

The other children were already frightened and scattered like birds and beasts, leaving only Clarence and Nannan in place.

Mireille’s shouting was loud enough that, though there was opera being sung on stage, the occasional sounds of children shouting could still be faintly heard. Watching the play with Mrs. Landon, Mr. May furrowed his brow slightly, "What’s happening over there? It seems a bit noisy."

The servant hurried to the source of the sound, and shortly brought Mireille, along with Clarence and Nannan, over.

Sitting on the other side of Mrs. Landon was a woman in her thirties named Isabella Yowell, Mireille’s mother. Upon seeing her daughter’s skirt covered in grass and dust, she hurriedly stood up and rushed to her daughter’s side. With a face adorned with delicate makeup showing worry, she said, "Mireille, what happened? Did you fall somewhere?"

"Mommy, she pushed me!" Mireille directly pointed at Nannan and said, "She even knocked me to the ground. It hurts so bad, and my skirt is dirty." As she spoke, her small face showed a grievance, and her eyes were brimming with tears.

Since childhood, Mireille knew that crying children got candy. As long as she showed a bit of pity and grievance, the adults would stand up for her.

Seeing her daughter’s appearance, Isabella felt heartache instantly. Then she frowned and looked at the boy and girl not far away. Judging by their ordinary attire, they seemed to be the children of some servants here. Two servant’s children, daring to treat her child like this, naturally made her more displeased.

But this was the May residence, not a place where she could call the shots. So she said to her daughter, "Uncle May, I’m afraid I’ve raised Mireille too delicately. Her crying and fussing truly embarrasses the Landon Family. I hope you don’t mind." It was a tactic of retreating to advance, seemingly scolding her daughter while actually involving the Landon’s reputation. For the sake of Mrs. Landon, Theodora May naturally cared about their family’s reputation.

Smartly, Mireille ran to Mr. May’s side and said, "Grandpa May, you must help me, I fell and it hurts so much!"

Just then, Amelia Foster rushed over, nearly fainting upon seeing her two children standing in front of Mr. May.

Amidst the chaos, Amelia quickly stepped forward and said, "Master... I didn’t manage the children well, let them offend the young miss. Please punish me."

Clarence wanted to explain something, but Amelia pulled him back forcefully, while Nannan just blinked those almond-shaped eyes, somewhat dazedly looking at the elegant elderly woman sitting beside Mr. May.
