Dungeon Miner Slave
DMS Chapter 243
Unlike the others, Arnold retained the original class the system had given him: the Druid Class.
When Samuel asked him if he wasn’t tempted to choose the Wizard Class because of the versatility provided by its many spells, Arnold defended his chosen class.
He explained that Druid skills were also versatile. In truth, the main reason most of Flinx’s friends had chosen Wizard as their first class was because of the power and versatility of the Wish spell.
Samuel told Arnold that even if he still preferred the Druid Class, he could choose it as his second class once they reached the level at which they could multiclass.
In the grand scheme of things, all of them would eventually have access to the Wish spell if they chose the Wizard as either their first or second class, since the maximum level of a second class was level ten, which would still allow them to learn the spell.
The problem was that it would take them a very long time to reach the level required to obtain it.
Paul and Mark’s initial calculations suggested that if any of them delved into dungeons for around four hours every day, it would take approximately five to six years for them to reach level nine or ten in their first class.
Arnold’s defense was simple: if he ever truly needed a spell that only a high-level wizard could cast, he still had his friends who could cast it for him.
Denise joined the others in learning the local language under the tutor Andrew had hired.
She was simply glad that the Wind Elemental Flinx summoned to act as Eliza’s nanny was fully capable of keeping his adorable little girl safe.
Flinx also made sure that Arnold, Denise, and Eliza—essentially every newcomer—received several high-level healing spells from him. He used his Cleric healing spells to ensure that their bodies would immediately adjust to Ilioven’s environment.
Adonis, Isaac, and Luke were also being looked after by another Wind Elemental that Flinx had summoned.
They didn’t mind having a nanny just like Eliza.
In fact, they loved it.
The Wind Elemental, which they had named Windy, was capable of doing a great many things for them. It could carry them around the compound, allowing them to fly through the air, and the three boys soon began acting as though they were superheroes.
Flinx had overheard them talking about how having even a single Wind Elemental would allow them to act like superheroes if they ever returned to Earth.
Paul later contacted Flinx through the chat system they were using and told him that the next people who would travel to Ilioven were Charlie, his parents, his uncle, four siblings, and two cousins.
Charlie planned to bring all of his remaining family members to Ilioven.
Flinx had no idea how Charlie had managed to persuade his family to abandon everything they had on Earth and follow him to another world.
Charlie’s family believed him because he had been one of the people who had accompanied Flinx in completing the wild dungeon and had been able to bring home a ring of healing.
Charlie’s remaining family members had all been present when he used the magic ring to heal his mother’s leukemia.
The issue was that Flinx knew Charlie’s family was well-off.
They had money, which meant they were living comfortable lives on Earth.
Flinx could understand Charlie persuading his parents and perhaps even his siblings, but his uncle and two cousins as well?
The only explanation Flinx could think of was that Charlie had managed to persuade them with the promise of magic, classes that granted extremely long lifespans, and possibly the System Shopping Site available to Earthlings.
Flinx had already prepared the tower Charlie had commissioned, so it was ready to be occupied by Charlie and his family at any time.
Charlie’s tower was six stories tall, and Flinx had needed to use a higher-level spell slot to conjure it.
Charlie needed a larger home because he was bringing so many family members with him.
Thankfully, Olivia had already hired people who had begun dismantling the house on the neighboring property they had purchased beside their compound.
Once the mansion had been cleared, Flinx planned to destroy the wall separating the two properties.
Afterward, he would increase Pondy’s pond to three times its current size.
He had also considered adding edible fish to the new, larger pond so they could have access to fresh fish whenever they wanted.
However, he decided to wait until everyone had arrived in Ilioven before doing so.
Samuel and Andrew were waiting in the area where they usually ate, beside Pondy.
The two of them would help Charlie ensure that his family members were comfortable once they arrived.
Thankfully, Flinx’s Plane Shift spell was powerful enough to transport Charlie and all of his family members in a single journey.
Flinx was somewhat relieved that he still hadn’t found anyone monitoring the park they were using as their travel point.
Once they arrived in Ilioven, Samuel sent a message through the chat system informing everyone that Charlie and his family had arrived safely.
Flinx could see the shock in Charlie’s family members’ eyes.
He therefore told Charlie that he should bring them to their new tower so they could begin adjusting to Ilioven.
While they walked toward Charlie’s tower, Flinx handed him two hundred medium-level mana stones as spending money. He told Charlie that he could use them to purchase anything he needed to make their new home comfortable for every member of his family.
Flinx also discreetly cast Heal on every member of Charlie’s family to ensure that they wouldn’t become ill.
When they arrived at Charlie’s tower, his family was stunned by its beauty.
The tower had been designed to resemble an elven tower from The Lord of the Rings, and they couldn’t believe that their new home in this magical world was essentially a beautiful, magical castle.
Charlie told Flinx that he had already explained to his family how the tower’s magic worked.
Samuel then told Charlie that one of the best ways for his family to adjust to their new home would be to use their System Shopping Site to fill the tower with familiar things from Earth, such as furniture and technological devices.
Charlie agreed that he would do so.
More than likely, Charlie and his family would spend their first day in Ilioven purchasing everything they needed through Charlie’s access to the Earthling System Shopping Site.
After that, Flinx, Samuel, and Andrew left Charlie and his family alone.
They would all meet again during lunch, which was still several hours away, when they could properly introduce themselves.
When Flinx, Samuel, and Andrew arrived at the communal area, Flinx saw Olivia waiting there.
He immediately realized that she wanted to speak with Samuel about resolving the trouble Penelope had caused.
Both Flinx and Andrew promptly left.
More than likely, Olivia was going to grill Samuel about what kinds of items he would be willing to provide to compensate her for the trouble his mother had caused.
When lunchtime arrived, everyone gathered in the communal area and began introducing themselves to Charlie and his family.
Charlie and his family were surprised when they learned that Penelope was Samuel’s mother and that she was a woman in her sixties who had been granted a second youth through Flinx’s spell.
They were equally surprised when they saw Eliza, Adonis, Luke, and Isaac flying around.
Their Wind Elemental nannies were carrying them through the air, and because the elementals were somewhat translucent, it appeared as though the children were flying on their own.
Before the introductions could continue, however, everyone first began eating the feast the cooks and other servants had prepared.
As they ate, everyone who had arrived in Ilioven earlier shared their experiences with Charlie’s family.
The newcomers still looked somewhat shell-shocked by everything they had seen so far.
