At least the fierce-looking guards only watched Flinx and did not approach him. He thought the main reason they were focused on him was that he was one of the few people closest to the elven caravan.

A large number of people from the town had come out to watch the elven caravan. Flinx thought it was because the caravan was beautiful to look at. The fact that it was probably owned by an elven noble was likely the reason the carriages and the animals pulling them looked so magnificent.

Flinx was not particularly interested in involving himself in elven politics, but he could not simply leave. He still had Elemendora and Arementil’s belongings stored in his fourth tab space, which was essentially his version of an inventory.

He was also still interested in entering the elven kingdom of Neverwise and thought his connection with the two elven children might pave the way for him to enter the kingdom without too much trouble.

After several more minutes of hugging and crying between the beautiful elven woman and Elemendora and Arementil, they finally calmed down. The two elven children began talking, and their aunt was about to invite them into her carriage when they suddenly pointed at Flinx.

Flinx saw that a discussion about him had suddenly begun between the three of them. It lasted for quite some time. Eventually, the two elven children and their aunt approached him.

“Elemendora and Arementil told me that you’re the reason they managed to escape the people chasing them. I would like to thank you for doing our family a great favor,” the beautiful elf said, suddenly curtsying to him.

Flinx became flustered and bowed in return. Afterward, he introduced himself as a Diamond Rank wizard adventurer.

Elemendora and Arementil’s aunt introduced herself and told him that she had joined the merchant caravan from Neverwise heading to the kingdom of Numidor for the sole purpose of finding Elemendora and Arementil.

She invited Flinx to her carriage, but after looking at Imanoria’s carriage, which, although beautiful, was a little small, he told the elf that it would be better if they met inside his tower.

Imanoria looked at him curiously when she heard his suggestion, and it was Elemendora who enlightened her aunt.

“Flinx can conjure a beautiful house!” Elemendora simply said.

“I can summon my tower anywhere as long as I’m allowed to do so,” Flinx added.

“Then you can summon it here. I’m sure the townspeople wouldn’t mind us erecting a temporary building here,” Imanoria said.

Flinx shrugged and cast his Galder’s Tower spell. He chose to make the tower resemble the one he had in Ilioven, since it had an elven aesthetic reminiscent of the buildings from The Lord of the Rings movies.

When the beautiful tower suddenly appeared, a huge commotion erupted. Imanoria’s four guards drew their swords and looked around as if they expected an attack at any moment.

The people from the town who had been watching the caravan were extremely surprised by the sudden appearance of the beautiful elven tower.

“That’s not the house we’ve been staying in!” Arementil exclaimed.

Flinx simply rolled his eyes at the boy.

He invited Imanoria, her guards, and the two elven children inside his tower, but only two of the guards followed them. The other two remained by the door and began acting as guards.

The first thing Flinx did after entering the tower was give his guests a tour, starting from the first floor. He showed them how the facilities worked, including the faucets on the sinks, the stove, and the fireplace. He explained that the temperature inside would remain at a comfortable level and that the lights could be turned on and off with a command.

Flinx showed them every floor until they reached his bedroom on the top floor. Afterward, he invited them back to the first floor and served everyone iced tea that he had purchased from his System Shopping Site.

Once everyone was comfortable in the living room, Elemendora asked Flinx why he did not use the tower as their house during their journey.

“I prefer my log cabin when it comes to simply resting for the night because it’s cozy. This tower is a bit larger, which means I have to think carefully about where I want to set it up. My log cabin is smaller, so I can simply place it almost anywhere,” Flinx replied.

He saw that all of the elves were impressed by his Galder’s Tower spell. In truth, it was still one of Flinx’s favorite spells.

“So you can just conjure this tower whenever you want?” Imanoria asked.

“Yes. It does have a duration, though. If I don’t renew the spell, it will disappear after twenty-four hours. Still, if I keep renewing it for a week, it will become permanent,” Flinx boasted.

“This magic is extremely convenient,” Imanoria said.

“You can conjure such a beautiful tower. Why can’t you conjure a beautiful carriage during your journey?” Arementil innocently asked.

Elemendora had to explain to her aunt that ever since they had met Flinx, they had been walking everywhere.

“I do have a nice vehicle. I just love walking. I love the autumn season. It makes the whole world beautiful, and I like seeing that beauty. The only reason I took this journey was to appreciate the beauty of the world,” Flinx admitted.

“I want to see your carriage!” Arementil suddenly exclaimed.

Flinx shrugged and invited everyone outside. He could see that all the elves were curious, so he retrieved his off-road SUV from his fourth tab space and showed it to them.

“My vehicle doesn’t need an animal. It uses a machine to run,” Flinx told them.

“Can you show us how it works?” Elemendora asked as they inspected Flinx’s car.

Flinx simply said yes and invited the two elven children and their aunt inside his SUV. Once they were inside, he started the car and activated the heater. When everyone was comfortable, he began driving.

He started slowly, then gradually increased the speed until the vehicle was traveling as fast as a horse could run. After they had traveled some distance, Flinx turned the car around and returned to where he had set up his tower.

“Your magic carriage is extremely comfortable and fast. I assume it’s powerful enough to pull a carriage?” Imanoria asked.

Flinx simply nodded.

They continued their discussion inside Flinx’s tower after he stored his SUV in his fourth tab space.

Unsurprisingly, their conversation continued to revolve around Flinx’s car. The elves were amazed that the vehicle did not run on magic. He explained that the car functioned through technology.

When Imanoria asked more about technology, he told the beautiful elf that her niece and nephew had started learning about science and technology, which were essentially the foundations upon which the car had been created.

He then showed Imanoria the science books he had given the two children. After Imanoria perused the books for a few minutes, Flinx retrieved them and stored them inside his fourth tab space. He decided to take the books back because he thought the knowledge contained within them was probably too dangerous to spread around.

Thankfully, Imanoria did not seem to mind his actions.

After their conversation about his tower and his car, Flinx told Imanoria what he had seen when he rescued the two elven children. He told her that he was almost certain their pursuers had not intended to capture them but had genuinely wanted to kill them.

He explained that, through his familiar’s eyes, he had seen how the children’s pursuers kept their hands near their weapons as they approached the children. He also told her that the weapons they were carrying had a strange glint to them that made him suspect they had been coated with poison.

This was the first time Elemendora and Arementil had learned about it, since Flinx had never told them what he had seen.

The information caused Imanoria’s expression to turn frosty, and Flinx could understand her reaction. If it had been his own family, he would have moved heaven and earth to destroy anyone who wanted to kill them.
