Chapter 1114:- Sea of Corpses

Chapter 1114: Chapter 1114:- Sea of Corpses

"This place sure is crowded." Aditya said as he walked through the busy market with Boris beside him. Malakor Harrington followed a few steps behind the two of them while quietly observing the surroundings.

"The market is actually very small compared to the rest of the island." Boris replied while curiously looking around.

"Only about five per cent of the entire island has been developed into a marketplace. That is why it always looks so crowded. The remaining ninety-five per cent of the island is much more spacious. There are many forests, small ponds, cultivation grounds, and beautiful scenery outside the market area."

Boris knew this because he had visited the Chimera Shadow Sect once before, around three thousand years ago. At that time, the former Sect Leader, Renji, had almost begged him to come and visit the sect.

Although Renji never said it directly, Boris understood his true intention. Renji wanted the news of Boris’s visit to spread across the Main Continent so that other factions would believe the Chimera Shadow Sect was under the protection of the Celestial Dragon Empire. With that impression, very few forces would dare to provoke or attack the sect.

Luo Han, Zain, Anya, and Ramos walked behind the trio while quietly observing everything around them. All four looked around the island with curiosity. Just like the Night Rider Sect, the Chimera Shadow Sect normally did not allow outsiders to enter its territory.

This entire island was considered off-limits to anyone who was not a member of the sect. Until recently, not even the family members of the sect’s disciples and elders were allowed to step onto the island. The Chimera Shadow Sect had always been extremely strict when it came to outsiders entering their territory.

However, over the last few centuries, those restrictions had gradually become less strict. The sect began allowing outsiders to enter the island, provided they had the proper identification and a valid reason, such as trading, buying resources, or selling goods in the marketplace. As a result, the market had become one of the few places on the island where outsiders could legally enter.

Since Aditya could not reveal the identities of his group for the time being, they chose the simplest solution. A few million platinum coins were enough to bribe the right people and obtain the necessary identification.

Because of that, they were now able to walk around the island openly without attracting suspicion or worrying about being stopped by the sect’s guards.

"What’s your plan, Aditya?" Boris asked in a low voice, making sure that the surrounding cultivators could not overhear their conversation.

Aditya looked around at the disciples who had surrounded them before replying, "Well, it would be a huge shame to destroy the entire sect just because their stupid Sect Leader decided to mess with the Harrington Family. But at the same time, it would be far too merciful if we simply left after making a few threats."

Boris turned to look at Aditya and noticed the playful smile on his face. Ever since he had taken his revenge on Victor, Aditya had been in a much better mood. The cold and authoritative expression that he had shown during the attack on the Night Rider Sect had disappeared. He was gradually returning to his normal self.

"We will cripple the cultivation of all the Elders," Aditya said calmly. "Including the cultivation of their Sect Leader, Ken."

Unlike Boris, Aditya made no effort to lower his voice. Instead, he deliberately spoke loud enough for the surrounding disciples to hear every single word. That was exactly what he wanted.

After all, they had to begin the process of bringing down the Chimera Shadow Sect from somewhere.

Just as Aditya had expected, the moment he finished speaking, several Inner Court disciples who were passing nearby heard every single word he had said.

"Crippling the cultivation of Leader Ken and all the Elders?"

One of the Inner Court disciples repeated Aditya’s words out loud. His eyes widened in disbelief before his expression quickly turned furious.

"The arrogance...!!!"

Boooooom!!!

The man, who looked to be well over a hundred years old, instantly released his killing intent toward Aditya without holding anything back. The oppressive aura swept through the surrounding area, causing many nearby people to instinctively step back.

"The outsiders don’t even dare to raise their heads when any of our Elders walk through this place." The disciple shouted angrily. "Yet some country bumpkin actually has the audacity to openly talk about crippling the cultivation of our Sect Leader and all of our Elders."

His loud voice immediately drew everyone’s attention.

People from nearby shops, market stalls, and the crowded streets all turned toward the source of the commotion. Even more Inner Court disciples stopped what they were doing and looked in Aditya’s direction, curious to see who had dared to utter such outrageous words inside the territory of the Chimera Shadow Sect.

"Who dares say something like that?"

"I want that bastard dead!"

"Fuck him!"

"No one comes to our sect’s territory and dares to disrespect our Sect Leader and Elders!"

Similar angry shouts came from every direction as more and more disciples gathered around. The peaceful atmosphere of the marketplace disappeared almost instantly. People quickly moved aside, leaving a large open space around Aditya and his group.

Within only a few seconds, hundreds of disciples from the Chimera Shadow Sect had surrounded them from all directions. Some looked furious, while others stared at Aditya as though they wanted to tear him apart. However, despite the overwhelming numbers, not a single member of Aditya’s group looked nervous or serious.

Aditya himself merely glanced around at the crowd with a calm expression.

For the first couple of seconds, he paid a little attention to what the disciples were shouting. He listened to their insults, threats, and angry remarks. But after that, he completely lost interest.

Why should he waste his time and energy listening to their meaningless words?

In Aditya’s eyes, every one of these disciples would be dead within the next few seconds. There was simply no point in letting his brain process the nonsense coming out of their mouths. So he calmly ignored them as though they did not even exist.

Aditya slowly raised both of his arms until they were at the level of his chest. He looked at the hundreds of disciples surrounding him before smiling politely.

"Gentlemen, I am sorry to say this..."

The next second, a grin spread across his face.

"But all of you are dead."1

"Luo Han!!"

The moment Aditya shouted Luo Han’s name, Luo Han stepped forward and released his terrifying Peak 7th-order aura without holding anything back.

Booooooooom!!!!

The overwhelming pressure instantly swept across the entire marketplace. The disciples’ expressions changed dramatically. Their faces turned pale as they finally realised that the person standing before them was a genuine Peak 7th-order cultivator.

Fear immediately replaced the anger on many of their faces.

Some disciples immediately wanted to apologise.

Some disciples immediately wanted to run, but they also knew the bitter truth, and that was they could not outrun a Peak 7th-order cultivator.

Other disciples immediately wanted to beg for mercy. But before a single one of them could even open their mouths, they heard a sharp metallic sound.

Shiiiiing...!!!

It was the sound of a sword being drawn from its scabbard. The next moment, Luo Han disappeared from everyone’s sight. A second later, he was already back at his original position.

It was so fast that most people did not even realise he had moved.

The Inner Court disciple who had shouted at Aditya earlier stared blankly at Luo Han. The only thing he saw was Luo Han calmly sliding his sword back into its scabbard, as though nothing had happened.

From beginning to end, it looked as if Luo Han had never moved even a single step.

Then he saw something that made his blood run cold. His pupils shrank. His limbs began trembling uncontrollably, and all the colour drained from his face.

Bang...!!!

The severed head of someone he recognised from the Outer Court hit the ground before rolling a short distance.

For a brief moment, everything became deathly silent.

Then, as if that single head striking the ground had become the signal for everything else to begin...

Bang...! Bang...! Bang...!

Hundreds of severed heads began falling to the ground one after another. They rolled across the stone streets before finally coming to a stop. At the same time, the headless bodies remained standing for a brief instant before fountains of blood burst violently from their necks, spraying high into the air.

A heartbeat later, the lifeless bodies collapsed one after another.

Thud...!

Thud...!

Thud...!

Within only a few seconds, the bustling marketplace had turned into a horrifying sea of corpses. The stone streets that had been filled with noisy disciples moments earlier were now covered with rolling heads, headless bodies, and pools of fresh blood.

The entire scene was unimaginably cruel.

Not a single disciple had been given the chance to react.

Not a single person had been able to defend themselves.

Death had come so quickly that many of them had not even realised they had already been killed. Their final expressions of anger and arrogance remained frozen on their severed faces, while Luo Han calmly stood in his original position with his sword already returned to its scabbard, as though he had done nothing at all.
