Chapter 1115:- The Dragon Waits Upon a Throne of Blood

Chapter 1115: Chapter 1115:- The Dragon Waits Upon a Throne of Blood

Thud...!

Thud...!

Thud...!

Within only a few seconds, the bustling marketplace had turned into a horrifying sea of corpses. The stone streets that had been filled with noisy disciples moments earlier were now covered with rolling heads, headless bodies, and pools of fresh blood.

Only the Inner Court disciple who had first shouted at Aditya was spared.

Watching everything happen within the span of a few seconds left him completely horrified. The colour drained from his face as if every drop of blood had been pulled out of his body. His lips trembled uncontrollably, and his eyes remained fixed on the massacre before him.

His heart pounded so violently that everyone standing nearby could clearly hear it beating inside his chest.

Thump...!

Thump...!

Thump...!

From head to toe, his body was soaked in cold sweat. His clothes clung tightly to his skin, and his legs shook so badly that he could barely remain standing. His breathing became uneven as terror completely took over his mind.

He could not understand why he was still alive.

Everyone else had died. Only he had been left standing. That thought frightened him even more. While trembling uncontrollably, he slowly raised his head and looked toward Aditya.

As their eyes met, A small smile appeared on Aditya’s face. It was only a brief smirk, but to the disciple, it felt colder than death itself. Then, without saying a single word, Aditya calmly took a step forward.

The moment Aditya took a single step forward, the Inner Court disciple instinctively took a step back. His entire body was trembling uncontrollably. Every trace of arrogance had disappeared from his face, leaving behind nothing but fear.

"What were you saying?" Aditya asked in a light and warm tone. His voice sounded gentle, almost as if he were speaking to an old friend instead of someone who had threatened him only moments earlier.

"P-Please... spare me." The disciple’s voice trembled as he begged for his life.

Aditya slowly shook his head with a disappointed expression.

"What happened?" He asked calmly. "Where did that confidence go? Where is that anger? Where is that arrogance you had just a moment ago?" The disciple wanted to say something, but no words came out. Fear had completely taken over his mind.

Aditya slowly raised his left hand. Crimson Lightning began gathering around the tip of his index finger, releasing crackling sounds as the energy became more and more concentrated.

The next second...

Crack...!!!

A streak of Crimson Lightning shot forward and struck the Inner Court disciple directly.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH...!!!"

The disciple let out a heart-wrenching scream as the Crimson Lightning engulfed his entire body. The terrifying energy rapidly spread from head to toe, burning through his flesh and clothes in an instant. His body convulsed violently as the lightning continued coursing through him without giving him even a single moment of relief.

The smell of burnt flesh quickly filled the surrounding area. Within only a few seconds, the disciple’s screams gradually became weaker.

Then they stopped completely.

By the time the Crimson Lightning disappeared, nothing remained except a completely charred black body standing in the same spot for a brief moment before it collapsed onto the blood-covered ground with a dull thud.

Silence once again fell over the marketplace.

The only sounds that remained were the slow dripping of blood onto the stone streets and the faint crackling of the remaining Crimson Lightning.

"I estimate that in less than ten seconds, the Elders and even Sect Leader Ken will arrive here to see what happened." Boris said after sensing several powerful auras rapidly approaching from a distance.

In reality, everyone present could already sense those powerful cultivators rushing toward the marketplace at full speed.

"Let them come." Aditya replied calmly.

"Saves us the trouble of finding them on this island." In his opinion, the quicker they dealt with this matter, the better it was for them. Aditya did not want to waste too much of his valuable time dealing with this useless sect. At least, the Night Rider Sect had the reputation and wealth. Compared to that Sect, what did this Sect even have to offer them.

Aditya’s expression did not change in the slightest. He casually walked forward before using his foot to kick a few corpses aside, clearing enough space for himself. With a wave of his hand, he took out a wooden chair from his storage ring and placed it in the middle of the blood-covered street.

Without any hesitation, Aditya sat down as though he were simply waiting for a guest to arrive.

"I will sit here and enjoy everything." After settling comfortably on the chair, Aditya slowly turned his head toward Luo Han.

"Bring Leader Ken to my feet." His voice was calm, but the arrogance in his tone was impossible to hide. Why should he show respect or politeness toward people who had nearly killed him and his family?

In Aditya’s eyes, these people were not worthy of even the smallest amount of mercy. From the moment they had chosen to stand against the Harrington Family, they had already decided their own fate. The Dragon Monarch had no intention of showing compassion to his enemies.

Scene Change_____

Just a moment before Aditya’s group arrived,

"What should we do about this situation?" One of the Elders asked, breaking the heavy silence inside the meeting hall.

Everyone present understood that the Chimera Shadow Sect could no longer avoid this matter. They could not continue pretending that nothing had happened. Their former Sect Leader had personally participated in the attack on Axel City and had ultimately died at the hands of Malakor Harrington.

That was an undeniable fact. No matter how much they wanted to distance themselves from it, the Harrington Faction would never forget it.

"Initially, we believed that ignoring everything and pretending not to know anything would keep us out of trouble." Another Elder said with a worried expression.

"But after learning what happened to the Night Rider Sect, it has become clear that the longer we ignore this matter, the bigger the problem will become. Who knows? They might launch an attack against us within the next few days... or they might even come today."

If the Harrington Faction had truly destroyed the Night Rider Sect in less than twenty minutes, then no one could guarantee that the Chimera Shadow Sect would not become their next target.

Elder Ken, who had recently become the Sect Leader, remained silent for a while before finally speaking in a deep voice.

"Prepare a generous compensation for the Harrington Family. We will send two Elders to personally deliver it along with our sincere apology. Let us hope that a sincere apology is enough to calm their anger."

He slowly looked around at everyone in the hall before continuing. "Otherwise... the only thing this sect can do is pray."

However, not everyone in the meeting hall agreed with Sect Leader Ken’s decision. Several Elders showed clear dissatisfaction on their faces, although none of them spoke immediately.

The Chimera Shadow Sect had a total of ten Elders. Even the weakest among them was a mid-6th-order powerhouse. Most of the Elders had already reached the Peak of the 6th-order realm.

Some of them had remained stuck there for centuries because they had already reached the natural limit of their talent. Others still had hope of breaking through to the 7th-order realm, but they would need several more decades, if not centuries, along with an enormous amount of cultivation resources, before that became possible.

"You all have become idiots." The Third Elder suddenly stood up from her seat with an angry expression.

She looked like a beautiful middle-aged woman with long white hair flowing down her back. Even though her appearance was elegant, the fury in her eyes made the atmosphere in the hall instantly tense.

"Why should we lower our heads and go to the Harrington Faction with compensation and an apology?" She asked in a cold voice. "Instead, we should approach our ally, His Majesty, and request the protection of the Celestial Dragon Empire. If the Harrington Faction dares to attack us, they will have to think twice."

Several Elders exchanged glances after hearing her words. To them, the Third Elder’s argument seemed to make sense.

However, Sect Leader Ken only frowned. Unlike the others, he did not seem convinced by her suggestion at all.

"Third Elder, did you not hear what happened to the Night Rider Sect?" Sect Leader Ken asked in a cold voice as he looked directly at her.

"Did you not hear how many powerful cultivators appeared to destroy the pillars of the Night Rider Sect? Or has your faith in His Majesty become so great that it has blinded you to the reality of what we are facing?"

The Third Elder immediately fell silent. She wanted to argue back, but no words came out. Ken’s questions struck directly at the biggest problem they were facing.

"There are a total of seven 7th-order cultivators under Aditya’s command," Ken continued in a deep voice. "And that list includes Boris Harrington and Malakor Harrington."

The moment those two names were mentioned, several Elders instantly turned pale.

Some of the older Elders had personally lived through the era when Boris Harrington still ruled the Celestial Dragon Empire. They had witnessed with their own eyes just how terrifying the former Emperor had been.

As for Malakor Harrington, they remembered why his very name had become synonymous with death. Wherever Malakor appeared on the battlefield, countless enemies lost their lives. Over the centuries, his reputation had grown to the point where merely hearing his name was enough to make many people feel fear.

Ken slowly looked around at everyone in the meeting hall before speaking again.

"We are standing on the brink of a civil war. Do you really believe that, with the civil war about to begin, His Majesty will send several 7th-order powerhouses just to protect our sect?" His question left the entire meeting hall in complete silence. Not a single Elder dared to answer.

Seeing that no one had anything else to say, Sect Leader Ken let out a long sigh before rubbing his forehead with one hand. It had only been a few days since he had taken over the position of Sect Leader, yet he already felt as though he had aged at least five years.

The constant pressure, endless responsibilities, and fear of what might happen next were slowly suffocating him. This morning’s shocking news about the destruction of the Night Rider Sect had only multiplied that pressure several times over. Ever since hearing that report, he had been unable to calm his mind for even a single moment.

"It is decided," Ken finally said after collecting his thoughts. "By this evening, the Third Elder and the Fourth Elder will leave for Axel City. Both of you will personally deliver a generous compensation along with numerous valuable gifts to the Harrington Family."

His expression became even more serious as he looked directly at the two Elders.

"And please... if either of you truly cares about the future of this sect, then leave your arrogance and pride behind before you step out of this meeting hall. Do not provoke them. Do not argue with them. No matter what happens, endure it."

The Third Elder opened her mouth as if she wanted to object, but after seeing Ken’s expression, she quietly swallowed her words.

"As for the compensation, I am thinking about—"

Before Ken could finish his sentence, a loud commotion suddenly erupted from outside the meeting hall.

Shouts echoed across the sect, followed by the hurried sounds of a large number of disciples running in panic. The noise grew louder with every passing second, making everyone inside the hall instinctively turn their heads toward the entrance.
