The declaration echoed through Raviah’s mind long after the military communication network returned to static. The terrifying words of the Zerg King still hung in the air like frost.

She could still feel the phantom pressure of the Zerg King’s consciousness pressing against her Core. It was a dark, possessive intent that made her skin crawl with cold horror.

Above Sol Haven, the skies tore open as the celestial visitor remained locked in violent combat with the colossal Zerg monarch. Millions of Zerg swarmers flooded the northern mountains, turning the horizon into a chasm of chitin and claws.

General Rhyder Drakeheir had already ordered the human alliance to maintain rigid defensive positions along the perimeter. Yet neither he nor Raviah could afford to sit idly and wait for another brutal wave to strike.

They needed answers, and they needed them now.

By midmorning, Raviah made her way deep inside Sol Haven’s underground research laboratory. Cold fluorescent light illuminated the central terminal where the encrypted archives brought by Elias Varen from Project Elemental Awakening were displayed.

Elias adjusted the metallic data device connected to the central console, his fingers moving across the interface.

"I’ve searched the research records for every reference to the Primordial Source," Elias said in the room. "Most of the information concerns energy absorption, core development, and the biological changes caused by prolonged exposure."

Raviah stepped closer, her arms crossed over her chest. "And the term ’source-bearer’?"

Elias looked up from the glowing console, his expression growing dark and serious. "That designation appears in only three documents across the entire archive."

Raviah leaned toward the floating holographic interface, her eyes narrowing. "Open them."

The first document flickered to life, revealing fragmented research notes about organisms discovered near deep tectonic faults. Surviving records showed these entities possessed unusual crystalline structures embedded deep within their biological systems.

Unlike ordinary Elementals who absorbed free-floating atmospheric energy, these specimens were fundamentally different. They could retain and stabilize fragments of the Primordial Source itself.

"Living reservoirs," Raviah muttered, her brows drawing together in thought.

"Possibly," Elias replied, scrolling through the historical data. "The original researchers believed these organisms acted as direct intermediaries between the planetary energy source and the living world."

He tapped the screen again, bringing up the second file.

The second document detailed specimens that had demonstrated extraordinary biological adaptability under extreme conditions. Their cellular tissues could survive energy concentrations that would instantly incinerate ordinary living organisms.

Some of these creatures had even passively influenced the evolutionary development of nearby lifeforms. Yet, despite their incredible resilience, every single specimen examined by the research team had eventually deteriorated.

Their crystalline structures fractured under the pressure. Their internal energy pathways collapsed, leaving their bodies unable to withstand the overwhelming burden of carrying primordial fragments.

"None of them survived long enough to complete the evolutionary process," Elias noted with solemnity.

Raviah stared at the grim medical reports, feeling a cold knot form in her stomach. "Then why call them Source-Bearers if they failed?"

"Because they carried the energy," Elias said softly. "They carried it, but they never truly became compatible with it."

The distinction sent a chill running straight down her spine.

She silently thought of her spatial dimension, where the pristine white light of a crystalline structure pulsed in seamless harmony with the Core buried beneath Sol Haven. She remembered how the celestial visitor had identified her without a moment of hesitation.

It had not called her an Elemental. It had recognized her as a source bearer.

"Show me the third document," Raviah demanded, her voice firm despite the rising tension.

Elias hesitated, his fingers hovering over the key interface. "This one is different from the rest."

He entered a long sequence of military authorization codes into the console. The holographic display flickered violently before revealing detailed biological scans and complex energy signatures.

Raviah leaned forward, her eyes widening as she examined the glowing charts.

The diagnostic scans looked eerily similar to her own Core. The structural alignment was close enough to make her heart thump wildly against her ribs.

Her root possessed the unique power to manipulate biological structures, stabilize volatile cores, suppress dangerous mutations, and connect living organisms through an expanding energy network.

Even her spatial dimension had evolved into a thriving ecosystem centered around a crystalline structure tethered directly to the Primordial Source.

No recorded specimen in history had ever demonstrated all of these extraordinary characteristics simultaneously.

Elias pulled up Raviah’s recorded energy signature and overlaid it directly against the archived data. Line after line of analysis began to populate the screen in white text.

[BIOLOGICAL COMPATIBILITY: UNPRECEDENTED]

[PRIMORDIAL ENERGY RESONANCE: CONFIRMED]

[ROOT ADAPTABILITY: EXTREME]

[SPATIAL DIMENSIONAL CONNECTION: DETECTED]

Then, a final line flashed onto the screen with sudden clarity.

[SOURCE-BEARER CLASSIFICATION: PROVISIONAL]

Raviah stared at the glowing letters, her breathing turning shallow. "Provisional?"

"We don’t have enough empirical data to confirm the full classification," Elias explained, adjusting his glasses. "But based on everything we have, your Root may be the first complete Source-Bearer humanity has ever recorded."

Raviah shook her head slightly, staring at her hands. "Humanity’s surviving history is far too short to prove something like that."

"You’re right," Elias conceded gently. "We can only say you’re the first known case in our surviving records."

Raviah let out a long, slow exhale, trying to ground herself.

For years, she had operated under the assumption that her unusual root was simply an extraordinary genetic mutation. Even after discovering its deep connection to the Primordial Source, she had never fully grasped the true scope of what she carried.

Now, the terrifying reality was becoming clear.

Her power was not merely a tool to heal or manipulate biological evolution. It was a catalyst meant to serve as a living bridge between the Primordial Source and all life on Earth. And the Zerg King wanted that bridge to consume the world.

"There’s something else hidden here," Elias said, his voice breaking her train of thought.

He bypassed the current menu and opened the final archive directory buried in the database. Instantly, a bright crimson authorization warning flared across the holographic screen.

[SEALED RESEARCH FILE DETECTED]

[PROJECT ELEMENTAL AWAKENING - RESTRICTED ARCHIVE]

[ACCESS REQUIRES DIRECTOR-LEVEL AUTHORIZATION]

Elias frowned deeply as he analyzed the security protocols. "I never saw this file before our facility fell. Someone deliberately concealed it beneath the main database."

Raviah looked at him, her gaze sharpening. "Can you open it?"

"Not without risking the self-destruction of the entire archive," Elias warned.

"Then don’t force it," Raviah instructed quickly.

She studied the flashing red warning, her instincts whispering that this hidden document held the truth. It was the key to why the celestial visitor had crossed light-years and why the Zerg King was willing to tear the earth apart to claim her.

Elias carefully isolated the encryption layer, bypassing the tripwires to initiate a non-destructive recovery sequence.

The terminal processed the delicate command. One second passed in agonizing silence. Then another dragged by.

Finally, the red authorization barrier dissolved into blue code. The sealed file opened, revealing its contents to the room.

A single designation flared in bold text across the holographic display.

[SUBJECT CLASSIFICATION: SOURCE-BEARER]

Directly beneath the header, a chilling sub-line emerged from the data stream.

[POTENTIAL FUNCTION: WORLD SEED]

Raviah went still, her breath catching in her throat.

Beside her, the color drained from Elias’s face as he stared at the words. Neither of them dared to utter a sound in the lab.

If the classification was true, Raviah was not merely carrying a power that could alter humanity’s survival in this apocalypse. She was the living seed from which an entirely new world would be born.
