Dawn broke over Sol Haven without bringing warmth to the frozen land. The crimson clouds had faded into a bruised violet horizon, but the celestial visitor remained suspended above the fortress, motionless against the early morning sky.

Across the northern mountains, millions of Zerg still knelt in submission, their bodies pressed against the frozen earth. Silence stretched across the warzone as every living creature held its breath beneath the entity’s overwhelming shadow.

Inside the command center, Rhyder stood surrounded by military officers, elemental commanders, and intelligence personnel. Every monitor displayed the same impossible image of an army brought to its knees.

"Maintain all defensive positions," Rhyder ordered, his voice echoing off the reinforced concrete walls. "Nobody advances toward the Zerg, and nobody fires unless attacked first."

"Understood, General," an officer replied, rapidly inputting the command into his console.

"Keep the evacuation routes open and civilians underground," Rhyder added, turning toward the map. "I want every Elemental squad ready, but do not activate offensive formations."

Rhyder then walked over to Raviah, who stood beside the central command table staring out the observation window. The sheer scale of the celestial creature was mirrored in her wide eyes.

"You said it was searching for something," Rhyder said softly, stepping into her line of sight.

Raviah offered a slow nod without taking her eyes off the creature. "And it found it."

"Do you know what it wants?" Rhyder asked, his jaw tightening.

"No," Raviah admitted, lowering her gaze to her trembling hands. "But I think it can communicate."

Rhyder’s expression hardened as he weighed the risks. "Then try."

Raviah turned and walked toward the command center’s exterior observation platform, cold mountain air rushing to meet her. Rhyder stayed close behind, his hand resting near his weapon as they stepped out onto the open ledge.

The moment her boots touched the metal grating, the atmospheric pressure shifted violently, making her ears pop. Her core began to thrum against her ribs, answering a silent call.

Inside her pocket space, the crystalline structure reacted in tandem, sending a subtle shockwave across the fields and storage vaults of her dimension. She felt the internal shift, but kept her focus locked on the sky.

Above the fortress, the celestial being slowly turned. There was no physical movement of a head or eyes, yet Raviah knew beyond a doubt that its cosmic attention had locked onto her.

Raviah closed her eyes and took a steadying breath. Instead of extending her Root aggressively, she released a delicate thread of energy from her Core, sending it floating upward like a beacon.

"I’m Raviah Solomon," she projected into the void.

Silence answered her, unyielding.

She tried once more, focusing her mind. I don’t know what you are, and I don’t know why you came here.

The entity remained suspended above the clouds, still.

Then, her consciousness shuddered as a massive wave of intent slammed into her mind. It was not a spoken word or a human voice, but an absolute identity transmitted through pure energy.

"Source-Bearer."

Raviah’s eyes snapped open, her breath catching in her throat as the pressure weighed down on her shoulders.

"What?" she gasped aloud, stumbling back half a step.

The celestial being sent the concept again, clearer and more forcefully this time. Source-Bearer.

Along with the title came a clear mental projection. Raviah saw the crystalline structure nestled deep inside her personal spatial dimension, illuminated from within.

Then, the vision shifted to show the massive Primordial Source pulsating deep beneath the Earth’s mantle. A brilliant, thread-like web of light stretched between her internal space and the subterranean heart of the planet, tying them together.

Her stomach twisted into a tight knot at the realization.

Rhyder immediately picked up on the sudden pale cast of her face and stepped in front of her. "What did it say?"

"It called me..." Raviah hesitated, her voice shaking slightly. "A Source-Bearer."

Rhyder’s dark eyes narrowed instantly. "Meaning?"

"I don’t know yet," Raviah whispered, clutching her chest where her core burned.

Before Rhyder could press for details, blaring sirens erupted from the command center behind them, shattering the morning. Red emergency lights flashed across the observation deck as officers scrambled.

"General!" an officer shouted through the doorway, pointing wildly toward the monitors. "Zerg movement detected across the northern ridge!"

Every screen inside the room shifted to display the mountain range.

The Zerg King was rising. Its colossal, chitin-armored body unfolded from the frozen mud, lifting its towering frame toward the violet sky.

Rhyder drew his weapon instantly, his stance shifting into combat readiness. "All units--"

Before he could finish his command, the Zerg King launched itself into the air with terrifying force, shattering the cliffside beneath its massive limbs.

Behind it, millions of Zerg screeched simultaneously, a deafening sound that shook the foundations of Sol Haven.

The celestial visitor finally moved in response. Its translucent, wing-like structures expanded outward, catching the dying light as it released a heavy atmospheric wave.

Raviah winced as the impact rippled straight through her core, making her stumble against the railing.

The Zerg King slammed directly into the translucent energy field surrounding the visitor. The brutal collision detonated like a warhead across the morning sky.

A blinding crimson shockwave rolled over the northern mountains, sweeping across the battlefield and shaking the fortress walls. Every soldier inside Sol Haven grabbed onto nearby railings to avoid being thrown off their feet.

"What the hell are they doing?" Rhyder growled, steadying Raviah with one strong arm while keeping his eyes locked on the sky.

Raviah stared upward in disbelief as the clouds parted from the force of the hit.

The Zerg King struck again, its crystalline limbs flaring with concentrated streams of elemental energy.

The celestial being twisted fluidly through the air, dodging the assault without visible effort. A stray beam of raw elemental force passed through the empty space where the entity had been, striking a distant mountain peak and instantly vaporizing the solid stone into dust.

Raviah felt the blood drain from her face. "They’re fighting."

"Why would the swarm attack something they just bowed to?" Rhyder demanded, watching the battle unfold above. "I don’t get it."

The Zerg King threw its head back and released a thunderous psychic pulse that tore through the clouds.

Down on the ground, every Zerg in the massive army reacted to the command. But instead of turning their claws toward the human fortress, the entire swarm pivoted toward the sky, screeching at the celestial being.

The truth hit Raviah like a physical blow. The Zerg were not a singular, mindlessly unified hive.

They shared energy and biological information across their network, but individual commanders retained their own terrifying wills. The Zerg King was defying the visitor to claim its own prize.

Suddenly, the collective network resonated on a frequency that bypassed physical hearing. Every military communicator and speaker inside Sol Haven screamed with static.

Raviah’s core seized painfully in her chest as the psychic wave hit her.

A voice echoed directly inside the minds of every living person connected to the battlefield. It was neither human nor mechanical, but a chorus of a thousand million voices speaking as one absolute declaration.

"The Source-Bearer belongs to the Zerg."
