Chapter 802: Chapter 790: Crime-Solving Little Detective (20)

"Yes, I’m leaving on my own accord. Archie Lockwood, haven’t you always known that?"

How could he maintain relationships with other women while continuing to entangle himself with her? He could toy with her, but did that mean she wasn’t allowed to leave? Eleanor Bishop was not Archie Lockwood’s property! She refused to be controlled by him like this!

With her stubborn temper flaring, Eleanor looked at Archie without a single trace of fear in her eyes.

Looking back at her and hearing her words, Archie gritted his teeth in fury. He wanted nothing more than to throw this woman to the ground. Yes, he knew. He knew that she had always wanted to leave him, but there was no need for her to admit it so bluntly in front of an outsider.

"Archie, you heard her, right? It’s this woman who wants to leave on her own. I wasn’t the one driving her away." Hearing Eleanor’s admission, Shannon Vance finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Archie suppressed his anger and cast a cold glance at Shannon. "Even if she wants to leave on her own, it still has everything to do with you."

His woman could only be disciplined and scolded by him! Other than him, no one else had the right to speak to her like this.

"Archie, what are you talking about? How could it have anything to do with me?" Shannon said anxiously, her face turning deathly pale.

"Oh? She’s been living perfectly fine here with me and never once clamored to leave. But today, the moment Miss Vance arrived, she decided to go. Tell me, does that have something to do with you or not?" Shannon might not have driven her away directly, but the woman was leaving because she had come. This was undeniable, and it was a fact!

Shannon was already feeling incredibly guilty, and Archie’s words only deepened her anxiety. Even if Eleanor was leaving of her own volition and hadn’t been forced out, it was ultimately because of her.

Seeing that Shannon was at a loss for words, Archie’s eyes reddened. He barked angrily, "Now, leave my house immediately! And never come back! Otherwise, don’t blame me for disregarding our past ties."

At Archie’s harsh command, Shannon’s pretty face lost all its color, and she burst into anxious tears. "Archie, you can’t treat me like this. I really didn’t do anything. I just wanted to help Miss Bishop."

"Help? Heh..."

By help, did she mean driving Eleanor away for him?

Shannon wept bitterly. "Archie, you have to believe me." He had clearly believed her earlier; why was he suddenly speaking up for this woman?

"Miss Vance, I’ll say this one last time. Get out of my house!"

The command to get out of his house made Shannon shudder violently. She looked up with tear-filled eyes, biting her red lip tightly, and choked out, "Fine, I’ll go! But Archie, I might be leaving, but I need to tell you that this woman isn’t as good as you think she is. Her intentions..."

She was about to say that Eleanor’s intentions weren’t pure, but before the words could leave her mouth, Archie coldly cut her off.

"Whatever she is, it has nothing to do with you. Get out!"

Shannon had never been yelled at like this before, nor had anyone ever told her to get out. Completely humiliated, she shot a vicious glare at Eleanor and ran out sobbing.

Watching Shannon leave in tears, Eleanor’s face grew tense, a myriad of complex emotions swirling in her eyes. She didn’t understand. Why did it seem like the relationship between Archie and this Miss Vance wasn’t as close as she had thought?
