Louise Jordan’s lips curled into a cold smirk. "You’re a smart one, Miss Bishop. You knew what this was about the second I arrived."

"Really, Mr. Lockwood didn’t need to send you. I planned to honor our agreement as soon as I woke up. I won’t ever appear before him again." ’Of course I knew. I was with him for so long, after all.’

"You misunderstand, Miss Bishop. Mr. Lockwood sent me over, first, to bring you some medicine, and second, to give you your plane ticket."

"Medicine? A plane ticket?" She had already guessed that Archie Lockwood sent Louise Jordan because he didn’t trust her.

The boss was right about one thing: this woman didn’t deserve to be a mother.

"That’s right. You bought it for me plenty of times. Thank Mr. Lockwood for me, but he’s being overly cautious. It was only one night. I doubt his technique is so good he could knock me up with a single shot."

"Just to be sure, please take the medicine in front of me, Miss Bishop." As she spoke, Louise Jordan bent over, picked up the bag that was by the door, and brazenly walked past Eleanor Bishop into the room.

Eleanor Bishop gave a detached smile and reached out to shut the door.
