Chapter 4800 Captured By The Harem?
Chapter 4800 Captured By The Harem?
Fairy Thunderblaze momentarily froze, feeling an insane heat stemming from her left cheek. She had been slapped before. It was from her father, but no woman had ever dared to slap her before. Her expression flared with rage as she turned her head to the purple-robed woman before her.
"Evelynn! How dare you!?"
She roared, her eyes glinting with killing intent as her black eyes glowed crimson, "You're courting death!"
Abruptly, golden-scarlet lightning erupted from her body like an enraged sun going supernova. The runes carved into the hall blazed to life one after another, formations roaring awake as if roused from a short slumber. Pillars groaned, space twisted, and the very air thickened into something viscous and oppressive.
The Space-Quelling Thunderbound Formation was forcefully activated despite Shirley swiping the formation core away from Fairy Thunderblaze's hand.
Shirley was dumbfounded, realizing the formation core in her hand was fake, and the real one was pulsing. It was Fairy Thunderblaze's crimson necklace.
Evelynn reached out her hand unceremoniously, trying to take the crimson necklace away.
However, space seemed to be endless between her and the formation core. She couldn't reach it.
Within a second, a powerful force descended, threatening to crush Evelynn and the others.
"I'm courting death?"
Evelynn coldly uttered as she forgot about the formation core, reaching to Fairy Thunderblaze's hair instead as she bent and glared at her with a terrifying visage.
"How dare you charm our husband? You seem to have a death wish."
"Let me go. Or I'll bring down the formation, and we can die together." Fairy Thunderblaze snarled, a dangerous gleam flickering in her eyes.
"Go ahead, you devious vixen. Let's see if you want to dare to ruin it all with your own hands."
Evelynn's lips curled evilly, a crazy glint in her eyes as she waved her hand again.
*Paah!~*
Fairy Thunderblaze's head swirled left this time, bringing forth a stinging pain on her right cheek. Blood seeped out from her lips as she dared to glare at Evelynn again.
"Slap me again and I will dare to do it." Fairy Thunderblaze coldly hissed.
Evelynn coldly glared at her with wide eyes, all the anger inside her threatening to burst forth. She clenched her teeth and her hand snaked toward Fairy Thunderblaze's face as she grabbed her chin and cheek, lifting her gaze up.
"We believed in you. We thought we were allies and sent you with him. How could you?"
Fairy Thunderblaze's gaze shook. She even sensed the two arms holding her down from behind quiver, but having been slapped two times, she was barely away from falling into insanity.
She clenched her teeth, and blood drained from her face despite the two slaps.
"HE'S MINE!"
She roared, her eyes turning moist as she lost control of her emotions.
"No one can take him away from me! You should just be content with being under me!"
"Insolent." Evelynn hissed, "What makes you think you can shove us down and get him? Are you powerful than all of us combined? You can't even beat some of us even if you tried."
"That's right," Shirley harrumphed, "Our harem doesn't even work in that way, but I'll entertain your standards. You can't even defeat big sister Isabella if you tried currently. She's not even a Divergent. What makes you think you're special?"
"Ridiculous…" Fairy Thunderblaze snarled, "That's just one factor, strength! Another factor is intelligence!- which I dare to say is number one, but most importantly, none of you dare to step in front of him and pave a way for him, but I do, just like I did earlier! I would defend his path, make him the strongest man, and aid him to have everything in the world, while you are all just lazy vixens who clutch his sleeves and enjoy the resources he shares!"
"…"
Evelynn, Isabella, and Shirley's expressions churned. Even Isabella's hold on her loosened a bit before she quickly tightened it.
Fairy Thunderblaze gasped hard, glaring at them.
"None of you… None of you had ever grown this powerful by yourself. It is all because of him, so you should obediently follow his lead. On the other hand, I… made it here by virtue of my power and intelligence. I offended him. I took advantage of him. I risked my life, my everything, to be with him. If there is anyone who deserves to be his first, it would be me! Only me!"
She roared at Evelynn, nearly struggling free as golden-scarlet radiance kept erupting but was suppressed by Isabella's chaos energy.
"…"
Evelynn and the others wordlessly stared at her.
Her obsession with Davis couldn't be made any clearer. From the time they had last seen her, it was a vast difference.
Aila and Juili could only blink.
They wondered if this was the same high and mighty Fairy Thunderblaze who easily quelled them back then.
Niera and Bylai could only look at each other, smiling lightly.
It was indeed the case of falling head over heels that they dared do anything to obtain their lover. Dalila could only shake her head, not willing to engage herself in this mess. She knew better than anyone that her current achievements were due to the divergence Davis possessed, as her current capability and her born capability were a stark difference.
Even she didn't believe she was still that old Dalila. But she didn't wish to sing and claim such achievements, knowing Davis was hers from the bottom of her heart. When she approached him, his expression would naturally soften.
She was in his heart. That was all she needed to know.
"That's about enough."
Myria stepped between them, "Whatever it is, our differences can be settled when your husband comes here after crossing his tribulation. Right now, it is imperative that we settle down without making a ruckus. Stop this and focus on our plans. If we fail- the consequences are severe. We will be wiped out."
Evelynn and Fairy Thunderblaze still stared at each other, their eyes gleaming with killing intent.
It slowly receded, their bosoms heaving.
Evelynn was the first one to look away, "Whatever. As long as she keeps quiet, I can't be bothered to speak to her again."
"Same here." Fairy Thunderblaze coldly sneered.
"Unlike you, I have the present called the Golden Radiance Empire on a silver platter for my dear husband. If he had come, he would be thrilled to have me, and you wouldn't dare touch me."
Evelynn took two steps away on her way to exiting the palace, but she paused, turning to look back.
"Still don't understand?"
With a gaze that chilled Fairy Thunderblaze to her core, her voice echoed out.
"He was never charmed by your spell from the beginning. Against him, your methods were simply- useless."
"…" Fairy Thunderblaze's smirk slowly receded.
"Zenova, stop kidding yourself. Charming someone will never be as real as genuine love." Myria advised softly before she also turned around to leave.
"You- show us around and explain." Evelynn pointed to a man who was shivering incessantly.
He stood in line behind Fairy Thunderblaze.
Those who were with Fairy Thunderblaze- Peak Empyreans' slaves, trembled as they gazed at the dark spirit floating above them. It was a mirage from the portal, but they still shuddered heavily, knowing that if it entered, they would be screwed. So they hadn't made a single move, watching this unfold.
Now that one of them was finally addressed, they hurriedly nodded, looking at Fairy Thunderblaze for her permission, but seeing her become unresponsive, they had no choice but to listen to them.
As the Davis Family left after another, only Isabella stayed.
She wanted to hurl insults and punch her face, but looking at Fairy Thunderblaze's expression that had gone bleak, her eyes dull, she suddenly found no words to say.
Pursing her lips, Isabella uttered, "She's lying."
"Is that true?" Fairy Thunderblaze's eyes suddenly gleamed back to life. She threw her hands to Isabella's shoulders, her gaze desperate and fearful, "You're not lying?"
"Mhm. We wouldn't be this mad if he weren't charmed by you." Isabella's eyes glinted as she said the cruelest lie without batting an eyelid, her voice soft and aggrieved, "He hasn't even had any intimacy with us for the past few months. It's all your fault." Fairy Thunderblaze's expression brightened with hope. In her mind, Isabella would never… tell a lie. But her current mindset, even if it was a lie, wanted to believe it so badly.
