Chapter 4799 Unexpected Windfall?
Chapter 4799 Unexpected Windfall?
Zhao Yan fainted.
Davis promptly sealed all his meridian points, placed many sealing inscriptions on him from head to toe, particularly in the region where the energy flowed the highest, trapping and blocking them so they would not flow out of the body.
After he was done, Davis turned to look at Rioxys Plume, who gawked at him before he returned his gaze.
"The son-in-law of the Celestial Transcendent..."
Davis had never expected this kind of windfall to fall into his lap.
However, he shook his head smilingly.
Whether it would prove to be useful was another matter, as the second daughter could likely be married already and have plenty of children and grandchildren, considering the amount of time that could have passed from the previous opening of the secret realm to the current one.
Besides, he didn't use Enigmatic Heart Laws on this person, so he wouldn't know whether he was truly the son-in-law or just a faker who wanted to be shown his way back to the True Immortal World's Celestial Transcendent Galaxy.
Placing a hand on his body, he checked his true cultivation and had his eyes go wide.
'This person… he fell from the Exalt Stage…'
Davis found that this person had traces of Exalt Immortal Vessel, which was different than the Empyrean Immortal Vessel. He also didn't have any sign of a Godskull, which could only mean he practiced the Exalt Cultivation Method. His eyes flashed with understanding as he instantly understood the reason.
'This person wanted to go through the Shard Regions to find a suitable exit that leads to the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy. Can't do that as an Exalt, so after defeating his Exalt trial, he then went to kill his Empyrean trial that was actually the False Dawn Harbinger as an Empyrean Realm Calamity, which had grown to Level Three Exalt Stage after such a long time…'
'Incredible…'
For a moment, Davis felt a tinge of respect for this person.
To have survived in the Shard Continent for so long was not an ordinary feat. Zhao Yan had to be incredibly careful in avoiding the calamities that should more or less follow him around the more he stayed here.
'But it's a pity that he forgot to guard against me, a fellow human… just because he saw one after so long…'
Davis was sure that Zhao Yan's original higher cultivation base also played a part in being unguarded against an Immortal Emperor like him. However, he was still confident in being able to do the same thing again since he had used Misdirection to make him look away.
One moment was all he needed to subdue Early Stage Empyreans.
Zhao Yan had fallen to the Level One Empyrean Stage all because he wanted to traverse through the Shard Regions.
"You and I both have it hard…"
Davis said to the unconscious Zhao Yan, but still unceremoniously threw him into his life ring.
"Rioxys, are they all safe?"
He turned to look at Rioxys, his eyes narrowing as he saw her undulations appear a bit off.
"Yes," Rioxys Plume nodded, "They all made it in safely."
"Did you face your trial?"
"Trial?" Rioxys Plume blinked with her white eyes, her black tendrils swirling occasionally like they were tails, "I'm a natural denizen of the Elemental Dimension. I don't have a trial unless I go to the True Immortal World, commit a karmic crime, and return. But returning is also difficult."
She sighed, causing Davis to ask.
"Then- who did you fight with?"
"Just some cronies of Cloud Elder Zaratu. It seems like he is too afraid to find you and sent his lackeys. I took care of them, easy peasy~"
Rioxys Plume displayed a smug smile as she folded her hands.
"…" Davis blinked.
Afraid of you? Who?
'Me?' He pointed at himself, finding it incredulous.
A True Deity Spirit, an Archon, was afraid of him?
He shook his head, finding it insane, but on second thought, he guessed that Cloud Elder Zaratu's last memory of him was summoning three ancient Wills that caused the Myriad Coiling Spirit Peak to collapse. Since they didn't know how he caused it and he was a freaking Anarchic Divergent who tended to cause calamities on an extreme scale, he guessed these True Deity Spirits really were scared of him or scared of the existences that were supposedly marking him.
"That's good." He nodded with an amused smile, "It's good that you're safe. Take me to them."
"Hop on~"
Rioxys Plume waved her hand, creating a black-white curtain-cloaked sedan chair out of thin air with her darkness energy.
Davis's lips twitched, "Are you acting as a transporter now?"
"Hehe~ Mistress Bylai taught me~"
Davis smilingly stepped into the sedan, and she took him away after he sat. He nearly fell off the speed but managed to hold onto the armrest.
"How is Birdy?" Davis asked.
"I'd rather not use Birdy right now. She's still recuperating~" Rioxys Plume giggled.
"Alright! But you have to let me know when you take it out. I still need to fully heal it."
"Sure~"
Rioxys Plume sang in a delightful voice, moving gracefully in the wind as she sped up. She curiously asked about Zhao Yan, and Davis could only explain that he could be an important hostage necessary for their survival.
Their journey was rather quick with Rioxys Plume's speed.
She appeared to drop him before the vast chasm, but at the edge of the cliff was where the spatial vortex to the celestial body remained hidden.
Davis approached it and threw a talisman into it, waiting for Evelynn to arrive as they had previously agreed upon. He couldn't help but wonder what had happened on the other side of the spatial vortex.
=======
Sometime ago, Evelynn and the others finally landed before the spatial vortex leading to the celestial body.
They made their way into the spatial vortex and appeared outside.
They made it into a palace where a few people were waiting for them, one of them- the one and only- Fairy Thunderblaze.
Fairy Thunderblaze cupped her hands with an amused smile, "Little sisters, welcome to our new home."
Evelynn's gaze turned colder than steel, her purple pupils dilating into sharp needles. Her third eye opened, the hex pupil instantly shining with an ominous blue glow.
"So violent~"
Fairy Thunderblaze reacted as her body instantly released a golden-scarlet radiance, breaking the Sealing Hex. Golden-scarlet lightning crackled all over her body, forming a defensive shield, but regardless of its extreme prowess, which was easily fifteen levels higher, Evelynn walked forward without stopping.
Isabella and Shirley rushed past her, one raising her fist and the other holding a spear.
The Chaotic Spacequake Gauntlets and the Icefire Duality Spear, both at peak Empyrean Grade, exploded in power as they rushed towards Fairy Thunderblaze.
Fairy Thunderblaze was momentarily taken aback, quickly reacting with a powerful lightning burst wave. A spherical golden arc exploded from her in Isabella and Shirley's direction, but one punched with the terrifying chaotic gauntlets, fueled by the power of the Chaos Dragon, and the other with the power of the ice-fire yin-yang double duality energy.
*Bang!~*
Fairy Thunderblaze's attack instantly shattered. She calmly waved her hand, taking out a formation core.
At this moment, Fairy Thunderblaze glimpsed strange emerald pupils in the distance.
'Three-Eyed Divine Pupil~' Fairy Xiu Juili activated her unique physique, a third pupil appearing in her double-pupil eyes, revolving around the continent like the sun and moon.
Fairy Thunderblaze had foreseen this and taken precaution. A fake karmic double that sat in her soul sea shattered, allowing her to easily regain control. She didn't even bother dealing with it and wasting time, but that single moment cost her big.
*Boom!~*
Isabella and Shirley broke her golden-scarlet barrier.
Shirley swept her legs with the Icefire Duality Spear, and Isabella appeared behind, taking hold of her arms and interlocking into a wild clutch, making her nearly kneel.
"You-!"
Evelynn walked over nonchalantly before her hand swept the air in a serene arc.
*Paaah!~*
A resounding slap echoed across the hall as Fairy Thunderblaze's head swirled to the right, the ringing in her ear loud and heavy.
