Chapter 632: Chapter 631: Divine Celestial City

The Monk and Daoist held onto Xi Zijin, trying to comfort her. However, it seemed Xi Zijin wasn’t hearing a word they said. Lin Yun still hadn’t arrived, and everyone suspected something had happened to him.

Ignoring their pleas, Xi Zijin stubbornly insisted on going back. The Monk and Daoist continued to try and persuade her. If anyone was the most worried about Lin Yun, it was probably Little Ape. At that moment, standing on the Black-striped Tiger’s head, Little Ape looked at Xi Zijin and spoke.

"Let’s go back first. Big Brother won’t die that easily. If something really did happen to him, we need to be even more careful about our next move. We’re the only ones who can save him."

Little Ape and Lin Yun had traveled together for a long time and shared a deep bond. Hearing Little Ape’s words, Xi Zijin fell silent for a moment. She then looked at Little Ape and finally gave a slight nod.

The hour was late, and Lin Yun still hadn’t returned. The group didn’t wait any longer. They quickly headed toward Demon City. The current plan was to gather information about Lin Yun before making any further decisions.

Riding on the Black-striped Tiger’s back as the group sped toward Demon City, Xi Zijin bit her lip and thought, ’Lin Yun, you have to be okay...’

They traveled without stopping, and in just a day, Xi Zijin’s group returned to Demon City. The Demon Palace was celebrating its initial victory, and all the Demon Palace Warriors were ecstatic. The Demon Palace’s Grand Commander had even specially arranged for Zhang Qing to wait outside Demon City to welcome Lin Yun and the others.

Calculating the time, Zhang Qing grew anxious when Lin Yun’s party had yet to return. Just as he was starting to worry that something might have happened to them, Xi Zijin and the others finally appeared in his line of sight.

A smile spread across his face as he hurried forward to greet them. However, before he could even speak, his expression changed. He didn’t see Lin Yun, and judging by the worried looks on the faces of Xi Zijin and the others, he knew something was wrong.

"Where’s Lin Yun?" Zhang Qing asked, looking at the group.

"Something must have happened to Young Master Lin," the Monk replied. "Take us to the Grand Commander, quickly."

Upon hearing that Lin Yun was in trouble, Zhang Qing didn’t dare to delay for a second. He quickly led Xi Zijin and the others to the main hall of Demon City.

They went straight into the main hall. Because they had successfully captured a city from the Divine Palace, five Demon Palace Commanders were now stationed there to defend it. As a result, besides Zhang Qing, only four other Commanders were present in the hall.

Upon seeing the Grand Commander, the Monk recounted the events and expressed his hope that the Grand Commander would do everything in his power to find news of Lin Yun—at the very least, to learn if he was alive or dead.

Hearing the Monk’s words, the Grand Commander and the others, who had been preparing to celebrate, readily agreed and promised they would do their utmost to track down any information about Lin Yun.

"Grand Commander, does the Demon Palace have spies in Divine Celestial City?" Xi Zijin, who had been silent until now, suddenly asked.

Hearing this, the Grand Commander nodded. "We do. Do you think Lin Yun was captured?"

"It’s just a guess. Since you have spies, please have them investigate in Divine Celestial City and see if they can find out where Lin Yun is," Xi Zijin said.

The Grand Commander agreed to Xi Zijin’s request. However, he explained that the spies in Divine Celestial City were not Divine Palace Warriors, so obtaining highly classified information would be extremely difficult. Nevertheless, the Grand Commander reiterated that he would do everything he could to find news of Lin Yun.

After their discussion, Xi Zijin and the others left the main hall and returned to the small courtyard where they had first stayed. At this point, all they could do was wait for the Demon Palace to investigate Lin Yun’s situation.

Three days passed. The Demon Palace’s investigation revealed only that after Xi Zijin’s group had left, Lin Yun had battled Divine Palace Warriors outside the city, killing several hundred of them on his own. Afterward, he seemed to have been saved by a beautiful woman.

Upon hearing this news, Xi Zijin and the others immediately thought of Qing Zhu. This was actually good news; at least Lin Yun wasn’t dead.

Guessing that Lin Yun had likely been captured by Qing Zhu, Xi Zijin and the others began to discuss a rescue plan.

Meanwhile, in Divine Celestial City, Lin Yun finally awoke after being unconscious for three whole days. Although his wounds had already healed, his body was still exceptionally weak.

Slowly opening his eyes, Lin Yun surveyed his surroundings. He found himself lying in an elegant room.

He thought for a moment. ’Qing Zhu must have brought me here.’ He clearly remembered that Wei Yunhang and two others had been about to kill him when Qing Zhu appeared and saved him.

Struggling to sit up, he looked down at himself and discovered he was completely naked. He took a clean set of clothes from his Space Ring and laboriously put them on.

Just as Lin Yun finished changing, Qing Zhu opened the door and walked in. Seeing Lin Yun, she had a faint smile on her face.

"You’re finally awake," she said to Lin Yun with a smile. "I was starting to wonder how long you were going to sleep."

Hearing this, Lin Yun moved with some difficulty to a chair in the room and sat down. He didn’t answer Qing Zhu’s question, asking one of his own instead.

"Is this Divine Celestial City?"

"That’s right," Qing Zhu replied, not bothering to hide it.

Lin Yun looked at Qing Zhu’s stunning face, silent for a moment before speaking again. "Why did you save me?"

Hearing Lin Yun’s question, Qing Zhu slowly walked over and sat down beside him. Her beautiful eyes fixed on him, a light smile playing on her lips. In that moment, she seemed to have returned to being the same Qing Zhu from the Qing Zhu Tavern in Yanhuang Country.

She was like a blue lotus—noble, elegant, quiet, and serene.

"The Demon Palace traded a city for you. Do you think they got the better end of the deal, or the worse?" Qing Zhu said lightly, also not answering his question.

Lin Yun’s feelings toward Qing Zhu were complicated. They were enemies, without a doubt—not just in this world, but on the Celestial Spirit Continent as well.

However, she had undeniably saved his life this time, which made his feelings toward her very complex.

Hearing Qing Zhu’s words, Lin Yun knew that the Demon Palace must have succeeded. But looking at her expression, she didn’t seem the least bit upset about losing a city.

"I’m in your hands now. What do you want?" Lin Yun asked quietly after a moment of silence.

At his words, Qing Zhu’s smile became seductive. Already beautiful, she seemed even more stunning in that instant. It had to be said, Qing Zhu was a woman of many faces—she could be noble, she could be elegant, and she could also be utterly captivating.

"You used yourself as bait to lure me into a trap. Now, you are also bait—to lure your companions," Qing Zhu said with a light chuckle.
