Chapter 196: Chapter 196: Yinfeng Valley

Right now, Yi Xiaoyao stood on the Yin Corpse’s hard, dry body and smiled coldly.

"Spit it out. Who are you people? If you play tough, I’ll send you to join your little friends."

At his words, the others slapped their foreheads. The only thought in their minds upon seeing the Yin Corpses was to kill; it hadn’t occurred to any of them to leave one alive for questioning. Yi Xiaoyao was far more thorough.

The Yin Corpse pinned beneath Yi Xiaoyao’s foot was scared out of his wits, having seen his companions so swiftly and utterly annihilated.

"Don’t kill me, don’t kill me! I’ve already died once, and I don’t want to die again!"

A few drops of murky fluid trickled from the Yin Corpse’s eye sockets. "This region is Yinfeng Valley’s territory," he said, his voice trembling. "I’m just a member of Yinfeng Valley."

Everyone was taken aback.

Yinfeng Valley? It seemed this was indeed a nest of Yin Souls.

Yi Xiaoyao continued his questioning. "What is the overall strength of Yinfeng Valley?"

"Overall strength?" The Yin Corpse looked baffled but answered immediately.

"Sir, in my Yinfeng Valley, there are over a hundred Yin Corpses like me. Most of us are at the Golden Core Realm Peak. But we also have two Valley Masters, and both are at the Nascent Soul Realm."

Hearing this, Yi Xiaoyao and the others shared a cold smile. It seemed the Yin Souls in this Ancient Tomb even knew how to form gangs and factions.

"You bet!" the Yin Corpse replied. "If we didn’t band together, we’d be pushed around by other Yin Soul Powers!"

From this, they understood that Yinfeng Valley was not the only Yin Soul Power within the Ancient Tomb Space.

"Let me ask you," Yi Xiaoyao said, "does your Yinfeng Valley have an Ancient Tomb Key?"

"Ancient Tomb Key? You must be talking about the treasures our Valley Masters possess. It’s said that only with those treasures can we Yin Souls break the limits of the Golden Core Realm and advance to the Nascent Soul Realm," the Yin Corpse replied, holding nothing back.

Yi Xiaoyao and the others finally understood. No wonder all these creatures were stuck at the Golden Core Realm Peak, unable to break through despite being in the Ancient Tomb for so many years.

They also realized something else: Yinfeng Valley had two Nascent Soul Realm Valley Masters, which meant they possessed two Ancient Tomb Keys.

The group exchanged glances and nodded.

Now that they were here and knew where the keys were, they would, of course, go and seize them.

"Take us to Yinfeng Valley," Yi Xiaoyao said.

"Just the few of you?" The Yin Corpse looked at Yi Xiaoyao and the others in astonishment.

"Just lead the way. Cut the crap!"

The group’s unified shout scared the Yin Corpse so badly that it scrambled to its feet and ran ahead into the mist to lead the way.

The lair of Yinfeng Valley was located in a sunken basin within the Ancient Tomb Space. A few simple houses and tents were set up inside the valley.

At that moment in Yinfeng Valley, groups of Yin Corpses were gathered, staring blankly into space, seemingly contemplating their long and uninteresting undead existence.

Meanwhile, two burly men with astounding auras sat at a stone table on the highest perch, eating glossy black fruits and drinking murky green wine.

Suddenly, a withered body came crashing down, making the very earth tremble.

Every Yin Corpse turned to look. The two burly men on the high perch slammed their hands on the table and roared in anger.

"Corpse Nineteen, what the hell are you doing?! Didn’t I send you to capture those living humans for me? Why are you back?!"

The Yin Corpse called Corpse Nineteen struggled to his feet. He didn’t speak, but instead turned to look behind him.

From within the gloomy mist behind him, ten figures emerged, slowly walking forward.

The eyes of the Yinfeng Valley Yin Corpses lit up as they all stared at Yi Xiaoyao’s group emerging from the mist.

"Living humans!"

"Such fresh bodies!"

To these Yin Corpses, living humans were nothing more than fresh bodies, an irresistible temptation.

The two burly men at the high stone table burst out laughing. "Oh? Corpse Nineteen, you actually brought these humans back for me! Well done! I’ll reward you with a fresh corpse later!"

Corpse Nineteen froze. ’It wasn’t me who brought these humans back.’ He immediately looked toward Yi Xiaoyao and the others.

"You’re the two Valley Masters of Yinfeng Valley, I presume? Those two Ancient Tomb Keys in your hands are ours now."

Yi Xiaoyao said calmly. The others in his group also drew their weapons, their auras surging.

The surrounding Yin Corpses, who had been gathering around, immediately fell into an uproar.

"A few mere Golden Core Realm brats dare to covet our treasures?" one of the Valley Masters sneered disdainfully.

The other Valley Master snorted. "What are you all gaping at? Seize these humans for me!"

The two of them remained seated at the stone table, completely disregarding Yi Xiaoyao’s group, and continued to drink their wine that emitted green Qi.

Meanwhile, the horde of surrounding Yin Corpses charged forward to kill.

This scene left Corpse Nineteen, the one who had led them here, utterly astonished.

’These people actually dared to charge into our Yinfeng Valley and even announced they were going to take the two Valley Masters’ treasures?’

Though Corpse Nineteen was filled with doubt, he still retreated to a corner. He, at least, had witnessed the power of these ten people firsthand.

For now, watching the horde of Yin Corpses charge at them, Yi Xiaoyao and his group didn’t rush to engage.

"There are only two keys. How do we split them?" Yi Xiaoyao asked.

Bo Hong sneered at Yi Xiaoyao. "You think you’re worthy of a key?"

"What’s that supposed to mean? You planning to take them both?" Sword Wind Breaker demanded, his brow furrowed.

"Not at all," Bo Hong said with a smirk. "How about this: we’ll have a competition to see who kills the most. The top two get the keys. Sound good?"

Bo Hong then added, "Those two Valley Masters are each worth fifty regular Yin Corpses."

"That’s a good proposal," Yi Xiaoyao agreed with a nod. No one else objected.

Bo Hong flashed a triumphant smile and charged straight for one of the Valley Masters.

Sword Wind Breaker narrowed his eyes and looked at Yi Xiaoyao. "Are you going for the other Valley Master, or are you going to deal with the small fry here?"

"You can have the Valley Master," Yi Xiaoyao said after a moment’s thought. "I’ll rack up kills on these small fry just the same, and I can watch over the others."

Sword Wind Breaker nodded. With his strength, it would be difficult to fend off a hundred Yin Corpses of the same rank and protect the others simultaneously. For Yi Xiaoyao, however, it would be no problem at all—especially since he also had a powerful Demon Beast.

With that, Sword Wind Breaker also charged toward the other Valley Master.

Just then, Chu Fei’Er sneered at Yi Xiaoyao. "You, protect us? I think you’re just not strong enough to take on a Valley Master, so you’re stuck cleaning up the trash here!"

The moment the words left her mouth, the hundred-strong horde of Yin Corpses swarmed them, roaring as they pounced with a tyrannical aura.

In the next instant, a stunning flare of fire lit up the gloomy space, and Chu Fei’Er’s eyes widened in utter disbelief.
