Adrian received a pack call from Melissa, " Melissa says they might take a few more days to clear the Gadra." He told Annie.

" Are they strong?" Annie asked.

" She didn’t say but if she said it would take a few days, then they must be, or there might be too many of them." He replied.

" Should we send more help?" She asked but he shook his head. Just like that, an entire week went by.

Adrian was acclimating rapidly to his new power, one morning while he was sparring with Annie he felt a shudder.

" What’s wrong?" Annie asked, for somebody at Adrian’s level, a shudder was not meaningless.

He must’ve detected something terrifying enough to make his body react to it. This made her nervous as well.

" Two more seals have been broken." He told her.

" The sins?" She asked casually, as dangerous as the sins were, they were not a world ending threat.

Disregarding the limit of their power due to their sigils being locked in heaven, they have no interest in destroying the world.

On the contrary, the world was a source of power for them, it would be illogical for them to destroy their only food source.

" Not just them, something darker too, a surge of endless corruption, this is definitely one of the Horsemen." He replied.

Annie’s face changed, if it were just the sins then things would be fine but the horsemen were a completely different story.

" Should we hunt them down, the longer we delay the more power they’ll accumulate." Asked Annie.

Adrian nodded, " This feels like pestilence and it might be even more dangerous than famine.

If we allow it to grow I’m afraid we’ll lose our food source just like it happened with Famine and I have no interest in delaying my growth."

Adrian knew his enemies were getting restless and needed to grow stronger faster, delaying that wouldn’t work for him.

He teleported to their room and brought out a green potion that Annie had given them, " Let go." He dragged Annie to the human world.

---------------------------------------------------------

Somewhere in the human world, Inside a massive hospital, a man with sunken cheeks and bags under his eyes entered.

The man’s body was covered in green spots and some parts of his body were rotting with maggots crawling out of it.

" This vessel will no longer do." He whispered as he walked inside the hospital, a nurse saw him.

" Sir, sir are you okay?" The nurse asked as she rushed towards him but hesitated to touch him.

She couldn’t diagnose him with a glance but even without a proper diagnosis, it looked like whatever he had was contagious.

The man raised his eyes and looked at her then shook his head, " No, this will not do, I need a stronger vessel." He whispered to himself.

He walked forward and everybody opened space not daring to her close, the hospital staff immediately went into action.

They found a quarantine room and tried to lead him there but midway there the man stopped.

" Ru...n please run." A raspy voice came out, tears streamed down his eyes confusing them.

" I can’t, I can’t contain it anymore you all need to run." The man told them and tried to push them away.

" Sir please calm down and let us help you." A doctor tried to calm him down but the man wouldn’t listen.

He tried to get away from them but barely took two steps then stopped as if his body was frozen.

Bang, he exploded but instead of blood and gore he turned into thick green fog that spread throughout the hospital in a blink on an eye.

" Oh my god oh my god what was that?!" A nurse screamed in terror and tried to run but her body started itching.

Then her skin started rotting rapidly, she coughed up blood then threw up a green sludge that burnt the floor.

She looked at herself in terror then started screaming but she was not the only one, everybody inside the hospital was experiencing all kinds of horrors.

Every disease imaginable to man was surging violently inside their bodies, bacteria and viruses working in tandem.

Cancerous cells spread like waves across the entire body, the process was fast, so fast that nobody lived past five minutes.

But those five minutes felt like an eternity to them, the pain was so excruciating they wished they could take their own lives.

Unfortunately with so many diseases acting at once, even moving their fingers was an impossibility.

They were forced to withstand everything and couldn’t do anything about it, only those who died felt relieved.

Half an hour later, the green fog spread even further into the air and further away from the hospital.

The further it spread the less dense and visible it became. Inside the hospital, one of the nurses stood up.

She was a young good looking woman no more than 25 years old. " This is the healthiest body I’ve met so far, disgusting but it will go."

The woman spoke in third person then walked out the hospital, a white horse galloped in front of her.

Then the horse transformed into a fancy white car with moths of green here and there giving it a ethereal sense of beauty.

She got in and drove off leaving nothing but death behind her. Sometime later, forensics were surrounding the hospital.

" So, what’s the common theory this time?" A man in a black suit and glasses asked flashing his badge.

" Well, it’s obviously some sort of... actually we don’t know what this is yet but we believe it might be radiation." Answered another man in a heavy contamination suit.

" Radiation? That must be some nasty radiation then." Said the man with glasses.

" There’s also the possibility it’s one of the supernatural monsters that have been rising everywhere lately." The other man answered.

The man in a black suit said nothing and walked off, he was a low ranking agent of the organisation.

He lived around here and decided to check things out but in actuality, the organisation was yet to say anything about this.

" Cough cough." He coughed and felt a throbbing pain in his chest. ’ Am I getting a cold?’ he wondered.
