Delicate Villainess, Desperate Males – A Beast World Reverse Harem
Chapter 95: She’s a Real Provoker
Chapter 95: Chapter 95: She’s a Real Provoker
Bai Wanwan knew very well how to seize the initiative and overwhelm others with her presence.
She shot a contemptuous look at the women in front who were trying to block her. "I’ll remember your faces! The first one to lay a hand on me, I’ll have my Beast Husband wipe out her entire family."
Bai Wanwan was usually all smiles, but when she wasn’t, she projected an intimidating aura without even being angry.
It was the kind of presence that inexplicably flustered people.
While the females were still stunned, Bai Wanwan grabbed Shi Hua’s hand and walked right through the middle of their group.
Shi Hua’s heart was still pounding. After they had gone a short distance, she couldn’t help but look back.
"Don’t look. Just keep up."
’It’s true that Xin Feng and Zhu Xiu are both Yellow Rank Males, but the crucial point is that neither of them is with me right now.’
’If a real fight broke out, these females are so well-fed and sturdy. We’d definitely be the ones to lose.’
’A wise person doesn’t fight a losing battle. The most important thing is to get away.’
Her pace quickened, and the females behind them finally snapped out of their stupor.
"This is the Black Dog Tribe! What right does an outsider female have to be so arrogant? Stop her!"
The females immediately gave chase after Bai Wanwan and Shi Hua.
"They’re catching up! What do we do?" Shi Hua’s injured face twisted with vexation, worried she was dragging Bai Wanwan down with her.
"You go on ahead. I’ll hold them off."
Shi Hua tried to pull her hand away, but Bai Wanwan held on tight. "Are you an idiot? You want to rush back just to get a beating for nothing? Look at the state they’re in. Do you really think they can catch up to us?"
The other females ran with great difficulty, like mountains struggling to move.
Bai Wanwan didn’t even have to run; she could maintain the distance just by walking briskly.
"You! Stop right there! You’re pissing me off! If you take one more step, from now on in the Black Dog Tribe, you’ll end up just like Shi Hua. I’ll beat you up every time I see you!"
Bai Wanwan had only intended to lose them, but their arrogant, bullying attitude was really starting to get on her nerves.
’It’s not like I don’t have powerful backers. I have two of them!’
Bai Wanwan stopped in her tracks and turned to face the wheezing, lumbering females.
’The rainy and snowy seasons last for about three months combined. They probably did nothing but eat and sleep. Their physical fitness has completely deteriorated.’
"Slow as turtle-beasts. Should I wait for you?"
Hearing such arrogant and provocative words, Shi Hua went pale with fright, her mouth hanging wide open.
"Keep it up! You’re not half-bad at running. You, lift your feet a little higher. Do you need me to personally teach you all how to run?"
Bai Wanwan even started giving them a play-by-play.
Shi Hua quickly spoke up. "Stop provoking them! If you don’t, you really won’t have an easy life in the Black Dog Tribe."
Shi Hua was genuinely looking out for her, not wanting her to go through everything she herself had endured.
She was an outsider to begin with, with no kin in the tribe.
If she offended so many females at once, how could she possibly survive here in the future?
"They were bullying you and they nearly hurt my child. I’ve already offended them, so what’s the harm in offending them a little more?"
She was quite philosophical about it. ’If one place doesn’t want me, another will.’
As a soul who had wandered into this world by mistake, she didn’t feel a sense of belonging anywhere.
She could belong anywhere. If a place was comfortable, she’d stay. If not, she could just move.
Just as she said that, the females were about to catch up. Bai Wanwan grabbed Shi Hua’s hand and quickened her pace.
Even as she walked, she didn’t forget to keep taunting them. "Great job! You almost caught us!"
The females’ fury was completely ignited. They were already imagining, over and over, what they would do when they caught her. First, they would rip that mouth of hers, then they’d claw up her hatefully beautiful face.
Bai Wanwan might have gotten a little carried away. Not paying attention, she walked right into a wall of muscle.
Her heart sank. ’Don’t tell me... I ran into a Beastman from their group?’
Without even looking up, she was already preparing to bolt.
"Did you get hurt?" The male’s voice was a little tense, yet full of concern.
More importantly, it sounded a bit familiar.
Bai Wanwan immediately looked up, her gaze meeting Yan Lie’s slightly grayish eyes.
"It’s you! Quick, step aside, I need to get out of here."
Yan Lie saw them too—more than ten females, running toward them with murderous expressions.
"They’re bullying you."
It wasn’t a question, but a statement of fact.
Before Bai Wanwan could answer, he was already moving to confront the pursuing females.
"Who gave you the right to bully her?"
The females had been running for a while and were so tired they could barely catch their breath.
"Who... who bull—"
They never got to finish the word. A powerful force sent them flying into the air before they came crashing down hard.
"OW..."
"It hurts! It hurts!"
The females rolled on the ground, their pained cries rising and falling one after another.
They had grown up in the Black Dog Tribe having everything their way; the greatest hardship they’d ever faced was not getting something they wanted to eat.
Never before had a male dared to strike them.
In truth, Yan Lie had held back his strength.
If males weren’t taught from birth not to harm females, that single blow, had he not held back, could have easily killed them all.
Yan Lie didn’t linger. After venting Bai Wanwan’s anger for her, he strode back to her side.
"What did they do to you? Are you hurt?"
"I’m not hurt..."
Bai Wanwan looked at the females still screaming on the ground. ’This has escalated... a little more than I expected.’
She had only wanted to rile them up, but now that he’d laid hands on them, things had taken a different turn.
’But this male meant well. I can’t really blame him.’
"You should go, quickly, before any of the other males find out." She glanced around, urging him to leave.
Yan Lie’s eyes immediately brightened. "Are you worried about me?"
"You just injured a bunch of females from the Black Dog Tribe! If you don’t leave now, what will you do when their males surround and attack you?"
"They can’t beat me. Don’t worry." A smile as brilliant as the midday sun spread across Yan Lie’s face, and he stared at her without blinking.
"Still, we can’t stay here. Let’s go."
So, Bai Wanwan held her child in one arm, grabbed Yan Lie with her free hand, and called out to Shi Hua, "Let’s go."
’Flee the scene of the crime, and then deny everything. After all, Yan Lie isn’t my Beast Husband.’
’Once Yan Lie is gone, they won’t be able to find him.’
’There are no cameras, no audio recordings. They won’t be able to pin this on me.’
The entire way, Yan Lie’s eyes were fixed on the hand she was using to pull him, a grin stretching nearly ear to ear.
Bai Wanwan noticed. ’This male sure smiles a lot.’
’What is he so happy about at a time like this? He’s still smiling so carefreely. If he really gets surrounded by the Black Dog Tribe’s males, he won’t be able to get away unscathed, no matter how powerful he is.’
"Wanwan..."
As they walked, Xin Feng’s figure appeared ahead.
Delighted, Bai Wanwan immediately let go of Yan Lie and ran toward him. "I found our child!"
Xin Feng reached out and took the child, his gaze sweeping past her to the male whose smile had suddenly vanished.
From a distance, he had seen that male’s gaze repeatedly fall on Wanwan, his smile blazing with intensity.
As a male himself, he knew exactly what was on that other male’s mind.
