"Are you worried about him?"

Bai Wanwan didn’t hide her concern. "He just helped me by hitting some of the tribe’s females. The Black Dog Tribe’s males will be furious. If they catch him, they definitely won’t let him go."

Xin Feng was quite surprised. Other than Wandering Beasts, males almost never struck females.

They were taught from a young age to protect females and never let them come to harm, let alone be the ones to harm them.

"Why would he hit those females? Did they hurt you?" Xin Feng’s brow furrowed at the thought.

"No," Bai Wanwan said with a smile, lowering her voice. "Actually, I was the one who was about to drive them mad with anger. Yan Lie showed up in the middle of it all. He didn’t know the full story and just assumed they were hurting me, so he attacked."

Xin Feng breathed a sigh of relief. "The next time I see him, I’ll have to thank him."

While the two were talking, Shi Hua nervously sidled up to them. "They’re here."

The males of the Black Dog Tribe swarmed over, stopping right in front of Bai Wanwan and Xin Feng.

Each one of them had been radiating aggression, but upon seeing Bai Wanwan, their ferocious demeanor lost half its intensity.

Some were even carrying their mates.

"Mu Shan, was it them?"

The female who had been addressed was being held in a male’s arms, wailing nonstop.

Bai Wanwan refused flatly. "I’m not going. My Beast Husband never touched them. They’re spouting nonsense."

Bai Wanwan was standing in front, and since the squinty-eyed female was being carried, the latter hadn’t gotten a clear look at Xin Feng’s face.

But now Xin Feng took two steps forward, and she finally saw him clearly. Her eyes glazed over.

’The male from before was handsome, but he hit me.’ Mu Shan had no favorable impression of Yan Lie whatsoever.
