Chapter 322: Forging A New Spirit Bond With Noir, The Son of Fenrir Reveals His Divine Spirit Form!

-----

"Noir, come here."

Riven decided it was worth giving it a try, patting the wolf’s head after the initial licks the wolf gave to him, and then infusing his spiritual energy into it. Noir stepped closer without hesitation and waited while the energy started to move around Riven and then reaching him.

FLAAASH!

"Awooh?!"

The wolf was shocked, his eyes widening for a moment before he calmed down and sat, feeling Riven’s energy slowly connecting with the fathomless darkness and small stars that composed his true self. The connection settled deeper than the previous Familiar Contract bond and began linking directly into the Divine Spirit Heart.

Because at the end of the day, Noir fulfilled every condition to be called a Spirit when Riven thought about it, he was non-corporeal, made of elemental energy, and had plenty of spirit power within him already.

Those three points matched the requirements listed in the skill description almost perfectly!

Thus...

FLUOSH!

A powerful connection was forged between the two of them, Noir looked into Riven’s eyes and Riven looked into Noir’s eyes for a moment, both concentrated, their souls connecting even deeper. Neither of them moved while the link was formed and then settled into place.

And then, bright light encompassed them both, as they found themselves in a completely different place. Riven was floating above the Spirit Sea of his Divine Spirit Heart, while Noir appeared there, glistening and glowing brighter than he’d never done before. The sudden shift left Riven floating in place for a few seconds before he fully adjusted.

"Woah, Noir... is that you?!"

Riven couldn’t believe it when he first saw him, but Noir had suddenly turned into some kind of wolf-shaped nebula, glistening and glowing everywhere, spreading his stars and stardust around, while walking freely. The new form looked larger and less solid than the wolf he was used to, yet the outline was still clearly Noir.

"This is Noir’s Spirit Form," explained Ignias, appearing down below. "You’ve helped him awaken a latent power within him, and he’s no mere Spirit, this is his Divine Spirit form!" She pointed toward the glowing figure so Riven would not miss any of the details.

"Kyuun!" the White Fox nodded, looking at Noir with surprise and then chasing him, both dogs began chasing each other adorably. The fox darted in small circles around Noir while the larger spirit form kept pace without any trouble.

"Wow..." Riven muttered. "Wait, this means...?!"

FLUOOOOSH!

He felt a massive amount of spiritual power, of the divine kind, being directly injected into his Divine Spirit Heart, and it was so much his stats rose and the skill... leveled, instantly!

The sudden surge of powerful spiritual energy was heavier and it even hit harder than any previous bond he’d forged before, and forced him to steady himself in the air while trying to control these energies.

Ding!

[Congratulations, you have successfully forged a Spiritual Bond with the son of Fenrir, the Divine Beast: Noir the Third!]

[Your Skill: [Divine Spirit Heart – Level 1] has Leveled Up to Level 3!]

[You gained +5,000,000 Spirit.]

[You gained +2,000,000 Mana.]

[You gained +1,000,000 Intelligence.]

[You have awakened the unique ability [Beast Gear Spiritualization]: By infusing Spiritual Energy into your gear, equipment, and weapons, you can temporarily Beast Spiritualize them into stronger, living forms of their former appearance, enhanced and super evolved based on your Spiritual Energy, increasing all their parameters and effects between 100 to 500% and granting unique abilities and effects to every single piece of gear compatible with it. Duration depends on Mana and Spiritual Energy, but it is not recommended to go past 1 Hour, or equipment and weapons may risk breaking.]

Riven read the new ability description and already started thinking about which pieces of gear he would test it on first.

"Interesting," Riven nodded with a gentle smile. "Beast Gear Spiritualization...!"

He read the ability name one more time before deciding to test it right away.

He immediately opened his eyes to the real world as Noir appeared around him and moved into the skies, enjoying his new, Divine Spirit Form as he tested his power on his own equipment right now.

Meanwhile, Noir circled once overhead and then stayed high enough to watch without getting in the way.

Riven was wearing casual clothes, but they were woven using premium monster materials, making them exceptionally tough and carrying along both great stats and some passive effects such as enhanced comfort, auto cleaning, and auto repair for whenever he gets his clothes torn apart when fighting and so on.

These clothes had already proven useful before, so they seemed like a good first target for the new ability to test what it could do. Plus, the more ordinary they were, the more he would be able to see their full extent.

FLAAASH!

The moment he used the Ability, Riven’s white shirt transformed into a white leather armor, his black pants became black scale pants, and his shoes turned into armored, metallic obsidian boots shaped like roaring wolves, the change finished in less than a second and left the new pieces sitting comfortably on his body, now completely different in shape, form, and stats.
