Chapter 321: Moving To The Spirit Dungeon Realm, Deciding To Forge A New Spirit Bond

Riven celebrated his birthday with his family and friends, everyone else gifted him other sorts of things, the ninja gave him hidden weapons and ninjutsu scrolls, which Riven will see if he could use later, and Natalie gifted him a new flying car that works with a Spirit Engine, which was very luxurious, making Elisa slightly annoyed that it could overshadow her gift, but Riven still loved the necklace his beloved wife had worn since she was a cute little baby, it was a precious gift he’d never get off his neck ever again.

He kept one hand on the emerald heart while he thanked everyone for the rest of the presents.

Before he could realize how much time had passed, it was already 3 PM. Riven decided he would cook something for lunch, but Elisa told him he didn’t need to, and that she had already arranged food delivery for lunch and dinner.

She had also asked him if he wanted a proper big party, she could call some people and arrange it all tonight, with drinks and everything, but Riven stopped her and preferred something more modest, just with her and a few others. He explained that a large gathering would only make him uncomfortable after the quiet celebration this morning they had already shared.

After all of that, he decided to move to his Spirit Dungeon Realm while Elisa and the rest of his family arranged the house for the party... yeah they were still going to decorate the interior, so they told him to go have fun on his own for a while. Daniela and Carlos were already pulling out streamers and balloons when he left the room.

"Haha, to think I’d get kicked out of my house," he laughed, smiling as he stepped through the portal.

Suddenly, as small red salamander made of ethereal red and orange light appeared on his shoulder, it was Ignias, who was actually in this very Spirit Dungeon Realm, resisting inside her volcano, bathing in the warm lava she loved and had been missing. She had clearly come out to greet him as soon as he entered the realm.

"I suppose they care for you and are only doing this to make you happy," Ignias tilted her head while she spoke, waiting to see how he would answer.

"Oh, Ignias?"

"Yes, it’s me."

She flicked her tail once and settled more comfortably on his shoulder.

"Did you see everything?"

"Of course I did, with this guy over here."

Ignias summoned the small little white fox by his side, surprising Riven even more, both spirits sat on each one of his shoulders. The fox gave a short yip and then stayed quiet, watching him with its cute eyes.

At the same time, from his shadows, Noir appeared, wagging his tail cutely and jumping on him, licking his face. It was his own way of celebrating his birthday.

Noir nearly knocked him off balance with the sudden jump and kept licking until Riven had to push him back a little.

"Hahaha, relax boy, relax," Riven laughed, patting his head. "Well, I guess you’re all here to give me some company, thank you."

He scratched behind Noir’s ears and then glanced at the two spirits still perched on his shoulders.

Riven looked at Noir, the White Fox Spirit, and Ignias, realizing Noir... could also technically connect to his Spiritual Heart.

The idea made him pause long enough to open the skill window and check the details again.

He checked the skill description to make sure his idea was right.

Your maximum Mana and Spiritual Energy quantity and recovery rate increase by over 10000% and you can master almost every Spiritual Art you learn almost instantly, while also being able to rapidly master your own flow of Mana and Spirit through the "Inner Spirit Mana Sea" within your Divine Spirit Heart.

Spirits that get a sight of your Spiritual Aura will instantly befriend you and follow you and may even become your subordinates automatically. You can also manifest from your Spirit Energy a Divine Spirit Beast Avatar that is the combination of all your Spiritual and Magic Power. Spiritualization of all Magic-based skill and spells is possible and easily mastered.

Riven closed the window after reading the last lines and looked at the three spirits still waiting around him.

Among all of this massive amount of information there was a section about Spirits themselves. He’d been feeling how his own heart was growing, and its progression toward Level 2 was very steady, at any point it might reach that level, truth be told. The progress bar in his status had been moving slowly but without any real pauses for days now.

But above all, the power to connect with spirits is what made it faster. After he bonded with Ignias as a spirit herself, and then after she revived, she’d gained plenty of power and that power was also passed to him through this bond. Each time she recovered more of her strength, a small portion of it seemed to feed back into the Divine Spirit Heart.

His White Fox Spirit, although an infant, was also growing and developing and had even awakened Psychic Powers from their bond, and the leftover residual psionic power left behind by Genesis Cells, even though the fox had none anymore, a bit of that supernatural power was imprinted into its spiritual soul, allowing it to evolve this power over time. The fox had started showing small signs of telekinetic control during the last few days, which only confirmed the imprint of that alien power was real.

Now, what was Noir? He was a Divine Child of Fenrir, and also a powerful familiar he’d already been bonded with, but not through his new Divine Spirit Heart.

The existing contract worked fine, yet it sat outside the new system and did not contribute to the divine spirit heart’s growth the same way the other two familiars did.
