Chapter 323: The New Power Of The Evolved Divine Spirit Heart, Beast Gear Spiritualization!

-----

Riven checked each window carefully so he would not miss any of the new effects.

Ding!

"Impressive."

He was in awe, he could now imbue his Spiritual Power into his own clothes and make them even tougher and resistant to damage, while also increasing his own defenses and other stats, while getting some new, sweet abilities along with it.

The combination of higher stats and extra abilities made the casual set feel closer to real combat gear more than ever before now. It was honestly quite incredible.

He couldn’t help but wonder what would happen if he put on actual high ranked gear, the effects would be massive, but at the same time, it might also get in the way of his shapeshifting.

For that, he’ll have to ask for a certain blacksmith he’ll recruit in the future to make the best gear for his class and ever-changing fighting style.

Riven nodded, deciding that it was best to see the extent of these abilities. He quickly tested them, asking Ignias’ Spiritual Avatar to attack him. "Ignis, go ahead and don’t hold back!"

"Hmph! Hahaha! Well, I’ve been waiting for a rematch since my defeat!" she laughed. "Even with my Spiritual Avatar, I won’t hold back indeed!"

She spread her wings wide and rose higher before starting the attack.

She roared, turning into a giant spiritual dragon and bombarding Riven with explosive flames, dragon meteors that surged from her ethereal scales, falling like missiles, and her deadly, blazing breath all at once.

The first wave of meteors hit the ground around him and forced him to step back a few paces.

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!

Riven didn’t even unleash his biological armor, scales, or any other skill that enhanced durability, relying solely on his everyday clothes.

He kept his arms at his sides and let the spiritualized gear take the full force of each hit.

And the result?

"Woah... What in the world?" Ignias asked. "Hah...! Beast Gear Spiritualization, huh? That’s a Spirit Art Technique I’ve never seen before. Now I can understand how strong it is!"

Ignias’ awed voice echoed as Riven emerged amidst the smoke, completely fine. His clothes had received damage, yeah, but it was minimal and it quickly repaired itself as well.

A few scorch marks faded within seconds while the armor pieces returned to their original shape.

He also tested the new abilities against her, using Ignias, an Ancient Dragon, as a sparring partner was really good for testing high-level equipment and skills without fearing his opponent being hurt.

Each new ability activated when he focused on it, giving him a clear feedback on how each one of these abilities worked.

He learned that [Spiritual Shield] decreases damage from Spiritual Attacks by half, [Magic-Reflecting Scale Armor] reflects thirty percent of Magic Damage back to the foe, and [Berserk Step] allows him to move with immense force, shattering the ground and enhancing his strength by fifty percent for a moment, helping him initiate combat with an advantage.

The three effects stacked well together and did not interfere with one another during the short exchange.

"Not bad," he descended from the skies, sitting down cross-legged. "Alright, let’s see... Time to eat my fill."

He brushed a bit of dust off the new greaves and then opened his inventory.

He quickly took out all the monsters he’d hunted in the last few days from his inventory, placing them in front of him and then rapidly beginning to consume them with his Aura of Gluttony. The Core of the Swamp Witch and the Swamp Slime King, which were used into a giant crystalized cluster, the Corrupted Dryad, the Carnivorous Great Flower, Crimson Frog King, the Giant Leeches and Crayfish, the Sorrowful Heart, and even Elias Blood Core and Genesis-BRAIN remains.

The pile grew larger with each carcass he pulled out until it formed a small mound in front of him.

It was a big feast of disgusting things he didn’t even want to look at, finishing everything within seconds as his Aura of Gluttony... well, gluttonously ate everything until nothing remained.

He kept his eyes half-closed while the last scraps disappeared so he would not have to examine them any longer.

As he ate everything, his stomach grumbled as it rapidly digested everything at lightning speed, their nutrients were absorbed, alongside new and powerful genes for him to assimilate and transform into brand-new mutations.

The process moved so quickly that the usual discomfort of a heavy meal never had time to settle in.

As all of that happened, his stats rapidly skyrocketed once more, increasing rapidly as he felt stronger in mere seconds, his muscles bulging, his skin becoming harder, his bones becoming tougher and heavier, and even his senses spreading further around him, expanding along with his Mana and Spiritual Energy Pool.

Each change stacked on the previous one until the difference in his body was impossible to ignore.

And above all, after he’d finished to digest Genesis-BRAIN, he also felt his psionic powers growing stronger, expanding even further and connecting him even more to the Noosphere, whether he’d like it or not.

The link to the Noosphere tightened without any extra effort on his part and stayed active in the background.

As he settled down and allowed his body to completely assimilate everything, a flood of notifications appeared in front of him.

The windows stacked on top of each other faster than he could close them.
