The next day at Riven’s residence began rather busy from the very first hour of morning. Label moved through every room and the surrounding yard with careful precision as she sprayed a new mix of chemical toxins into the air. The fine mist completely dulled out any trace of Vladimir, Riven, or anyone else who lived in the house. To even the greatest trackers in the world, this place would now appear completely non-existent.

The Fenrir Cult had gone completely silent ever since Vladimir’s incident. Label’s special Alchemical Formation already camouflaged every scent connected to the house and to Vladimir himself. However, the new spray she had carefully prepared overnight strengthened that protection even further. It helped mask every scent and every presence that might seem alarming to the remaining members of the Fenrir Cult, which was now composed of hundreds of bloodthirsty werewolves hungry for revenge.

"And with this it should be alright for the time being," Label said as she wiped a bit of residual liquid from her hands. "Though I don’t know if they could still track us somehow. Even if they had caught the scent before I applied the formation and the spray, they won’t be able to find the real source. I made the formula so the scents move elsewhere through the wind, sticking to the particles of Mana and Spirit Energy in the air. To the werewolves it will be as if Vladimir had multiplied into hundreds of clones and all of them ran toward different places around the city."

"Hoh, well, that’s not bad at all then," Riven nodded with a satisfied expression. "Alright then, Vladimir. With this protection in place you won’t be such an annoyance for a while. Though if they end up coming here anyway, I’ve already prepared something to help us run away if needed."

"So it means we can stay a bit longer?" Elisa wondered as she emerged from the door that led to the backyard, her wheelchair rolling smoothly across the wooden floor.

"Yeah. I still plan to move us all to Beach City eventually," Riven replied. "We can do it next month instead if that works better. I’ve still got some business to finish with Natalie. Then there are the dungeons I want to conquer. And lastly, I want to hunt and train together with you, Daniela, and Carlos inside the Spirit Dungeon Realm. That will help all of us grow stronger, and we’ll also be able to gather exclusive loot from the realm that should drop more easily with Daniela’s luck helping us."

"Eh? Me? Yay!" Daniela looked genuinely excited as she bounced a little in her seat. "We’re finally doing something fun? I was starting to feel kind of bored, hahah..."

"I’m going too?!" Carlos was surprised as he continued eating a thick waffle sandwich filled with crispy bacon and soft scrambled eggs. "Can I really hunt monsters...? It’s a little scary if I’m honest."

"Oh well, if you don’t want to come then don’t force yourself," Elisa said gently. "There’s no need to push yourself into something that frightens you."

"It would help a lot if you could start leveling right away though, bro," Daniela added with an encouraging smile. "We could develop your talent much better that way!"

"Hm..." Carlos sighed and then nodded lightly after thinking it over. "Okay!" He changed his mind surprisingly quickly. "Let’s do that then."

"That was fast?!" both Vladimir and Label thought at the exact same time as they exchanged a brief glance.

Riven simply nodded in approval. "Well done," he said. "Alright, now that we’re all here... let’s finish breakfast before we start the rest of the day. Natalie and her friends should arrive at any moment too."

DING-DONG!

"Oh, she’s here already," Riven said as he stood up from the table.

"That quick?!" Elisa asked, her expression tightening slightly. "Hmph... is this girl that important?"

"...It is important for what I need to do next," Riven sighed. "Are you jealous?"

"N-No! Why would I be jealous?!" Elisa grew noticeably grumpier and crossed her arms tightly over her chest. "Hmph! Who would be jealous of someone like that..." She shook her head firmly. "Preposterous. Nonsense. I am not jealous, okay?"

"Okay, okay," Riven chuckled quietly after teasing her. "Let’s go back inside properly so you can greet her and her friends."

The original plans had changed a little along the way. After deciding to take their time a bit longer now that the Cult of Fenrir seemed unable to locate them, Riven chose to spend the next several days with his wife so they could continue bonding and recovering together.

He only hoped she would not act too strangely in front of Natalie. He knew Elisa Frostbane had always been quite the possessive and jealous woman ever since they were children, yet he also knew she had grown more mature. She should no longer let those old feelings influence her so easily.

The front door opened a moment later. A gorgeous young blonde lady stepped inside. Natalie looked even more beautiful than she had the previous day. She wore proper makeup that highlighted her features and a truly elegant white-and-pink dress that made her appear almost like a living doll. Her bright eyes lit up the moment they landed on Riven, and she smiled warmly. There was a clear depth of meaning shining in that gaze.

"Riven!" she called out happily and ran straight toward him. She hugged him tightly without hesitation, catching him completely off-guard. "It worked! It really worked! Dad approved of the potions and it’s all thanks to you and Label! I owe you so much! I don’t really know how I could ever repay you...!"

Her friends stood behind her and stared at the scene in pure disbelief. Clair herself looked the most shocked of all. Her mouth hung wide open as she watched her friend act so openly affectionate with Riven out of nowhere.

And Elisa?

Well, she really did not enjoy watching Natalie get that close to her husband...

Her fingers tightened slightly around the armrests of her wheelchair while a quiet, cold pressure began to gather in the air around her.
