Riven’s body slowly settled down and fully absorbed the genes, manifesting two new trait mutations within his physique. The process felt deep and irreversible, as if the new bloodlines had permanently rewritten parts of his very existence.

His clothes were mildly torn apart as he suddenly grew massively taller and became monstrously muscular. Glistening gold, orange, and red scales grew rapidly across large portions of his body. His tail lengthened into a long, powerful appendage ending in a sharp spear tip made of hardened scales. At the same time a glowing halo of pure spiritual white light manifested behind him for a brief moment, casting soft radiance across the grassland.

Riven slowly settled the wild energies and forced himself to calm down, preserving his composure through sheer will.

Riven quickly returned to his original human form. He walked across the quiet grasslands for a short while, changed into a fresh set of clothes he kept in his storage, and finally made his way back home.

"Time for dinner."

After finally being done with all of these overwhelming power-ups, he moved on to have dinner and finish the day well with his wife. When he stepped inside, he found that Elisa had already woken up and was making her way toward the kitchen with Daniela’s careful help.

"It’s done," Shadow gave him a thumbs-up from the stove. The risotto was perfectly cooked and ready, and the Kobold King meat had been prepared to perfection as well.

"Ugh, just how long did I sleep? I guess I was a little tired," Elisa yawned while rubbing her eyes. "Hmm, it smells so good though! What did you make?"

"Ah, it’s something new. Kobold King with Dragon Blood. It’s the closest we’ll ever get to eating actual dragon meat. Let’s enjoy it," Riven smiled gently at her.

"Hmm! I have certainly never eaten that type of meat," Elisa nodded with mild curiosity. "Fine, let’s give it a go then..." She yawned again, still not fully awake.

Riven smiled and leaned down to give her a soft kiss on the cheek before beginning to serve the plates. The unexpected affection made her blush a little.

"H-Hey, that came out of nowhere...!"

"What? Is that something I cannot give to my wife?" Riven wondered with a playful tone.

"A-Ah, oh well...! W-Whatever, let’s eat!" she demanded, trying to hide her embarrassment.

After Riven finished serving the food on the plates, they all gathered together around the table to eat. While they enjoyed the rich flavors of the dragon-blooded meat and creamy risotto, Elisa learned about Natalie and the new deal they had struck with Sunrise Pharmaceuticals. In the background the evening news continued reporting about yet another dungeon disappearing, stirring more and more open conflict between the various "owners" of these Gates.

Meanwhile, far across the city in the luxurious Sunrise Family manor, Richard Sunrise carefully tasted the potion his daughter had brought home. She had spoken of a certain "amazing talent" she had scouted, someone who could "completely change their lives."

As a proficient Alchemist himself, Richard was left utterly perplexed and flabbergasted. The moment the liquid touched his tongue he instantly discerned every single note and healing property contained within it.

"It’s almost... like a Lesser Elixir?! Incredible...! Natalie! You finally did it! Well done!"

Natalie’s eyes sparkled with pure joy at her father’s rare and genuine approval. For the first time in a long while, the future for their family finally looked a little brighter.
