Chapter 163: The Battlefield Shifts! Warped Into The Noosphere!

With a single command, Riven called back his Divine Blade, Fenrir’s Fang, and swung it savagely downward. He unleashed several consecutive Guillotine Cascades. Potent cleaving waves of pure death energy cut through the monster again and again, rapidly reducing large sections of its body into diced lumps of meat and flesh.

However, its power and vitality were truly otherworldly. Not only had the creature ingested a massive quantity of Genesis Cells, but it also carried the residual power of a divine spirit beast fetus. That combination made it an absolute monstrosity.

Out of nowhere the ground beneath both of them trembled and then completely shattered. Space itself warped as powerful psionic and spiritual energies converged from every direction and twisted reality for a brief moment.

TRUUUUM!

The world around them changed instantly. Riven and Label suddenly found themselves standing in an endless void filled with swirling purple and black clouds, with distant stars gleaming in the far background.

The floor stretched outward in every direction, resembling ancient ruined stone. They quickly realized they were no longer inside the Spiritual Realm from before.

"What the...?!" Label gasped in shock. "Where are we?! Ugh! This is...!"

Riven noticed that the beast’s torn flesh was already fusing back together at an alarming speed. It was revealing a second phase. Soft white fur suddenly grew across its entire body. The grotesque tentacles disappeared, and several crimson eyes opened along its form as the white fur gained sharp red markings.

Three tentacled tails emerged from its back, each ending in a sharp, jawed tip that hissed menacingly. A powerful explosion of spiritual and psychic energy erupted outward, sending both Riven and Label flying backward.

RUMBLE!

"This damn monster has summoned a Domain inside the Noosphere!" Riven gritted his teeth as he felt the heavy pressure of the place weighing directly on his brain. "It’s likely trying to adapt and evolve while it fights us, but this state won’t last forever. We have to keep hacking it apart! Label, you’re talented with this kind of energy. Use your psionic abilities to take control of the surroundings! I’m going to beat the crap out of it in the meantime. I’m counting on you!"

"E-Eh?! Ah! Okay!" Label had no time to hesitate. The world around them continued to warp even further. Giant meteors suddenly appeared high in the artificial sky and began descending rapidly. The beast’s combined psychic and spiritual powers had unleashed a Near Divine Technique that only someone of her mother’s level could normally conjure — "Star Shower"!

BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM! BOOOM!

Label screamed as she ran for cover while summoning Chemy to her side. She began fusing materials at high speed and rapidly synthesizing something useful. However, she suddenly stumbled over a loose rock and fell hard. Her eyes widened in pure terror as a giant meteor plummeted straight toward her.

"Aahhh!"

"AWROOOOO!"

A massive shadow surged in front of her at the last possible second. It created a huge black hole that swallowed the meteor and instantly teleported it directly in front of the fox-like monster’s face.

BOOOOMMM!!!

"GRYYAAAEERGGH!"

Riven smiled with genuine relief. "Noir! Good boy!"

The wolf had managed to enter the Domain the moment it was created and had come specifically to protect Label. He had redirected one of the monster’s own powerful divine-level spells straight into its face.

From what Riven could tell, the new ability Noir had developed was something he called "Void Gate." It allowed the wolf to create a black hole of pure emptiness that connected any two points of his choosing, as long as both locations remained within his line of sight.

There was one limitation, however. Noir could not spam the technique endlessly. Each use required both great concentration and a large amount of mana and other energies, so he needed time to recover between activations.

Still, the ability was incredible. It allowed Riven to create a perfect opening for his next wave of attacks.

He combined Veil of Invisibility with his Spiritual Selves and his living Shadow, then triggered the full Synergy Ability Flesh-Rippling And Soul-Shattering Onslaught together with Guillotine Cascade. The combined assault tore through the monster’s backside and left flank while cleanly slicing its head off in one fluid motion.

SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!

"REAAAWWERRGAASRGGH!"

The monster let out an unintelligible, agonized roar. Suddenly three massive fox-like ears sprouted from its head. It lunged forward and bit down hard on Riven’s shoulder, but its teeth shattered against his reinforced skin. He had stacked every defensive armor and skill he possessed. His face shifted into that of a black dragon as he released a concentrated breath of deadly, soul-melting Black Water of Yomi, forcing the creature downward until it began to drown in the corrosive liquid.

While the monster struggled and drowned, Riven summoned a giant mass of black bones and rapidly assembled them into a huge prison. He bound the beast tightly with the bone structure and further reinforced it with his Death Mithril hair. Using the Asura Blood Sea Scripture at the same time, he began draining the creature’s lifeforce to quickly recover his own.

"GRYAAARRR!"

The monster roared in fury. It swung its entire body forward with explosive force, tearing through the bone prison as if it were paper. It reached Riven and then phased completely through his next series of attacks by turning incorporeal. In the next instant it leaped onto his neck and bit down hard. Fresh blood sprayed outward as monstrous alien cells attempted to infect him the same way they had once infected Ryujin.

However, the moment his blood was drawn, an explosion of purple poisonous ki flames erupted in every direction. The monster’s flesh began melting in agony. Riven immediately followed up by activating World of Silence, completely shutting down its psychic and spiritual attacks for a critical moment.

He took a firm step forward, kicked the beast hard into the ground, and then exerted massive strength while unleashing Azrael. His two swords fused into a single giant black scythe that cleaved through the creature with overwhelming force.

The monster screamed as it was cut down again and again. Yet more and more divine spirit energy continued to erupt and leak from its wounds, rapidly reforming its body once more.

A stubborn soul still trapped inside the flesh seemed completely unable to give up.

"RIVEN...! CLAYMOREEEEEEE!"

Suddenly a humanoid torso sprouted from the regenerating mass of flesh. Ryujin himself emerged as a giant, fleshy abomination that still faintly resembled his original appearance. His pulsing gray and purple flesh blinked with countless eyes that immediately began firing concentrated beams at Riven from point-blank range, tearing multiple holes through his armor and body.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
