Chapter 164: An Intense, Deadly Battle! Ryujin Kazama VS Riven Claymore

The monster screamed in agony as it was cut down again and again, yet more and more divine spirit energy erupted and leaked from its wounds, rapidly reforming the damaged flesh. A stubborn soul still resided inside the abomination and seemed completely unwilling to give up.

Suddenly a humanoid torso sprouted from the regenerating mass of flesh as Riven continued his relentless assault. Ryujin emerged as a giant, fleshy abomination that still retained a faint version of his original appearance. His pulsing gray and purple flesh blinked with countless eyes that fired concentrated beams at Riven from point-blank range, tearing multiple holes through his armor and body.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

"Ngh?!"

Riven groaned as blood poured from the new wounds, yet with the power of his adaptive cells and a second wind of strength he took another step forward and continued his endless assault. This time giant icicles surged upward and impaled the humanoid torso belonging to Ryujin. Immediately afterward his claws tore the torso apart with Soul-Tearing Beast Claw Assault, severely damaging the soul within.

"YOU DAMN...! GAAAAAHHHHH!"

Ryujin Kazama roared in fury and placed his hands together. A giant crimson naginata composed of pure materialized psychic energy and spiritual power manifested in his grip. He thrust it forward with all his might, piercing straight through Riven’s chest.

"Gahaaaa?!"

Riven vomited a mouthful of blood and staggered backward. Then he clenched his teeth, grabbed the spear with both hands, and broke it apart. The shattered energy exploded outward and was immediately absorbed into his body.

"?!"

Ryujin’s face filled with pure fear as he watched Riven continue walking toward him without hesitation. The lower half of the abomination that belonged to the wolf was convulsing in agony, unable to act because something else was holding it firmly in place.

"Wait...!"

Ryujin looked behind him and noticed Label’s transformed appearance. Her hair had grown extremely long and now glowed with green flames mixed with rainbow ethereal energies.

Her eyes had turned pure white, and her entire body floated in midair. Below her lay an empty bottle that had once contained a purple-pink liquid.

It was a Psychic Tonic she had cooked using the remains of Genesis-05.

For ten full minutes the tonic boosted her psychic powers by ten times — more than enough to pin down the fox-genesis hybrid abomination.

"Y-YOU...!"

Ryujin tried to seize full control of the entire body and move it on his own as he rapidly began to reform. Riven attacked without mercy, swinging his claws and tearing away the regenerating limbs before delivering a powerful kick to the chest.

Then a swarm of spectral jaws formed from his materialized aura descended upon the abomination, tearing through flesh and blood while draining everything they could. The ground beneath them shattered from the immense force being exerted.

"RIVEN CLAYMORE, YOU BASTARD!!!"

"DIE ALREADY, RYUJIN!!!"

As the two continued to clash with unrestrained violence, the floating island they stood upon finally exploded. Both combatants fell through the air while Label followed closely behind. They crashed onto another island below, smashed through a mountain, and then rolled across a wasteland of gray stone.

CRAAASH!

Flames followed their trail as a huge crater formed on impact. Riven forced himself back to his feet and reinforced his entire frame. He quickly mutated his bones and encompassed himself in an evolved biological armor that fused all of his techniques together — the Divine Black Dragon Bone Armor.

His giant body, now fully in his Immortal Alien Race form, allowed him to move at breakneck speed. He left behind explosive trails of electricity and psychic energy as he reached the abomination still lying at the center of the crater.

"Riven!" Label called out. "It’s weakened! I’ve completely destroyed its spiritual core. We just have to push harder. The flesh won’t be able to hold on forever!"

"Got it!" Riven nodded.

Both leaped downward and descended toward their enemy. The aberration greeted them with a furious roar and a breath of deadly spirit flames. Ryujin Kazama roared as his limbs regrew into dozens of tentacles that quickly fused into a muscular humanoid frame once more.

"I’m slowly getting the hang of this!!! HAHAHAHAHA!"

Completely insane and consumed by the madness of the Genesis Cells, Ryujin laughed wildly. His body pulsed with power for a moment before weakening again. The spiritual core — an ethereal organ that belonged to a divine spirit beast — had already been destroyed.

"D-Damn it! Just regenerate— AH!!!"

He panicked as a wave of endless divine ice magic rushed forward, completely encompassing him and freezing him in place.

"TSK!"

CRAAASH!

He shattered the ice with an annoyed flicker of power before swinging his massive muscular arm. The blow smashed Riven into the ground. He then caught Label as she tried to intervene and slammed both of them into the floor.

BAAAAM!

"HAH! I HAVE YOU NOW! DIE!"

Ryujin laughed with pure evil intent, only to notice a second too late that the figures he held were not the real targets. Both decoys exploded into ice, poison, and soul-melting spiritual and ghostly fire.

BOOOM! BOOOM!

"Ugh?! Decoys...!"

Riven had used his Spiritual Self Clones to momentarily trick him, creating the exact opening he needed. He triggered Veil of Invisibility and appeared behind the giant. Combining Abyssal Fist and Abyssal Assault with Guillotine Cascade, while also fusing his Psionic Avatar and Spiritual Selves, he turned himself into a one-man army of clones made entirely from his own aura.

This was another technique he had named "Myriad Self Assault"!

CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH! CLASH!

"Nnnggaaaagggghhhhhh!"

Ryujin screamed in agony as his body was rapidly torn to shreds and twisted in every direction. His regeneration remained immensely fast, yet it was clearly beginning to slow down. His face was grabbed from behind while he tried to fight back and was then blown to pieces by a concentrated burst of Label’s psychic power.

BOOOM!

However, several new faces immediately grew across the monster’s body. Alongside them appeared five fox-like heads attached to long snake-like necks. The heads hissed and bit through Riven’s arms, tearing them to shreds.

"RAAAAHHHH!"

Riven roared in response and rapidly infused his internal energies into every cell of his body, forcing the regeneration of his limbs. The Asura Blood Sea Scripture served as the foundation for this recovery, while his adaptive cells turned the entire process into a solid and reliable technique.
