Chapter 1156: Where to Run? (5)
The word ’Kneel’ had not yet fully faded when Whiteness moved without any warning, neither buildup of law nor any distortion of space, nor any divine radiance as a matter of fact.
Whiteness seemed to have only moved a single step forward, and then, the Infinite Space seemed to tremble, not aloud, but conceptually.
Whiteness’s small, barefoot body vanished from where it stood, and in the same instant, a fist appeared before Jacob’s skull, so close that the air between them ceased to exist.
It was not a punch wrapped in mana, law, or divine light; far worse, as it was pure godly physique, condensed to the point that even laws were irrelevant. The fist carried no technique, no flourish, no mercy, but only finality!
As a Higher God, Whiteness’s physical body had been tempered beyond realms, beyond evolution, beyond myth. Even if every divine law he possessed were sealed, even if his authority were crushed to dust, his flesh alone eclipsed Mythical Beings.
If this blow landed, Jacob would not only die, but he would be erased by impact, shattered into fragments that would never again assemble into meaning, and even with his current skeleton totem, he can’t resist such a power!
Behind Whiteness, a blurry phantom surged; it was vast, vast beyond scale, its outline writhing like a predator chained within invisible bindings. Pale, malignant pressure leaked from it, pressing against the Infinite Space like claws scraping against glass.
It was as if it wanted out, wanted blood, and wanted truth torn open, and for the first time since Jacob obtained the Infinite Space, he felt the true, unfiltered sense of deadly crisis.
Furthermore, Whiteness’s attack was so fast that even his Mortal Danger Sense didn’t have an opportunity to trigger because the power difference between them was simply too huge, and unlike Immortal Nimrod, Whiteness wasn’t trapped in a mere avatar.
Nonetheless, the infinite space still gave Jacob the perspective to preserve Whiteness, a Higher God, moves, and the ability to react, because every particle was connected to his very being, as if one body.
But the instinctual certainty won’t change that if he remained where he was for even a fraction of a breath, everything would end, and he would be killed within his own Universal Godly Artifact.
Jacob’s eyes of judge flared violently as there was no hesitation, calculation, or pride, as he did not try to block or counter because he didn’t have the ability, and the only thing left was the Infinite Space.
In that instant, he ordered the infinite space to move, and the Infinite Space answered instantly.
However, this time, he didn’t try to suppress Whiteness further because he was already suppressing it to the limit, and instead, the space stretched, but not outward or inward, but between them!
The distance separating Jacob and Whiteness, less than a finger’s width a moment ago, was forcibly elongated into an impossible chasm.
One unit of distance became ten; ten became a thousand, and a thousand became an abstraction, for Whiteness’s fist did not slow, but it never arrived.
The blow that should have obliterated Jacob instead plunged into an endlessly elongating corridor of folded space, the impact dispersing into nothingness as the Infinite Space seemed to stretch infinitely to ensure its master’s survival.
Whiteness’s expression changed for the first time as his pure-white eyes widened with fear and a hint of recognition.
’...So ’they’ moved!’
Furthermore, Whiteness felt it clearly now, as the suppression did not deepen; instead, another will had acted decisively, meaning the ’existence’ behind Jacob had interfered.
After all, this was the only possible explanation Whiteness could use to fill in the blanks of his imagination, as he didn’t even consider for a moment that the master of this space was the Quasi-Myth, the Heretic, standing in front of him!
He thought the master of space had saved Jacob, also confirming that Jacob was important to them and that their prowess shouldn’t be any less than his master’s, but they absolutely can’t be more powerful than his master.
With that realization, Whiteness’s heart clenched as his divine power collapsed further, crushed to a ridiculous degree, sealed layer by layer until even calling upon his higher authority felt like shouting across an infinite vacuum.
If this continued, he would be captured once all of his divine power and authority were sealed and would be at the mercy of the existence behind Jacob.
’I’ve lost my chance! But despite that, the existence behind the Heretic still didn’t move to fully suppress me, which could only mean they can’t move!’ Whiteness’s eyes suddenly flashed with a hint of mirth when he only felt the power of suppression, nothing else.
Furthermore, Jacob was only saved because of this strange realm space, and no one retaliated, which gave Whiteness more courage and led him to believe the situation was still salvageable.
On the other hand, knowing the gravity of the situation, Jacob instantly shifted him and Whiteness away from the vicinity of his tower, Autarch and his puppets, and shifted the battlefield to a remote corner of the infinite space.
After all, Jacob knew this guy was terrifyingly strong, and if he wasn’t careful, everything he had built in this space might turn to ruins, especially the Mechanized Sovereign Tower!
In this case, Jacob was lucky because Whiteness’s entire focus was on Jacob and that ’existence’ behind him, so he didn’t pay attention to this detail at all, not to mention he didn’t care about a bunch of ants, as they were irrelevant.
Furthermore, in his last attack, Whiteness had sacrificed the hexagonal compass to gain advantage over the suppression power of the Infinite Space, and now he could never know who the real heretic was, or he would’ve discovered the truth instantly at that moment.
Now, in Whiteness’s eyes, Jacob was the real heretic, and his loyalty to the Supreme One burned like frozen fire as his resolve crystallized.
At that moment, an absolute madness swirled in his eyes as he decided, ’I guess, I will stop hiding. Even if I pay everything, I will not let the Heretic live!’
Whiteness did not pursue Jacob as he stopped mid-motion, and then, a peculiar aura suddenly gushed out of his very being as he started to change!
