Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1157: Aletheion Albus!

Chapter 1157: Aletheion Albus!

"Who are you really?" Jacob finally spoke, wanting to buy time to decide what to do with Whiteness now.

After all, he can always expel Whiteness from the Infinite Space with his authority and even consider it at this moment, but when he thought about the gains, especially the method Whiteness used to find ’his’ locations so soon, if he could somehow restrict Whiteness, he was hesitant.

Moreover, Jacob was already certain that Whiteness was beyond the ranks of Legendary Plains, meaning he was from either the Upper Plains or the Void and probably had information he desperately wanted, especially about his enemies.

That’s why Jacob was unwilling to simply let Whiteness escape and still feel there was a chance he could deal with Whiteness within the Infinite Space if he used some of the abilities he had never used before.

"Cursed Immortality!" Jacob summed up the cursed book right away because he needed some insight into the exact power rank of Whiteness and what kind of being he was, and only the cursed book could provide him with that.

Besides, Whiteness was already within the infinite space, and here, the Cursed Immortality always exists without revealing its form.

Not only that, but Jacob didn’t even consider Whiteness another holder of a UGS because it would be simply absurd if another one showed up.

That’s besides, Immortika seemed to always have something cryptic to say whenever a UGS heir appeared, so he was certain Whiteness didn’t have any.

But the moment he decided to seek help from the Cursed Book, the Whiteness figure suddenly started to change, and a profound aura suddenly magnified from Whiteness.

Furthermore, Jacob instantly felt something within Whiteness desperately fighting the restrictions, as if something terrifying wanted to crawl out of Whiteness’s body, and the restrictions seemed to be losing ground!

Jacob was astounded before a chill went down his spine, as in that instant, the Infinite Space went quiet as a suffocating pressure descended!

"Tsk, tsk, it’s not your fault. It’s because of the imperfection."

Immortika’s carefree voice suddenly sounded within Jacob’s mind at that moment.

Jacob didn’t even bother to reply or seek an explanation because he knew exactly what the Cursed Book was trying to imply, as he felt it too.

’Whatever he’s doing, he’s succeeding!’ He thought gravely.

But he was slightly relaxed for some reason when he heard Immortika’s voice because not only had the Cursed Book shown up, but it didn’t seem to worry about Whiteness at all, as if it had nothing to do with it, or simply, whatever Whiteness was up to, it could be contained. Moreover, it confirmed Jacob’s guess that Whiteness has no UGS.

As stillness encroached upon the space itself, Whiteness’s childlike body did not grow or expand but simply unfolded like an illusion breaking apart, revealing the reality behind it.

At that moment, white chitin bloomed outward like layered veils, porcelain plates overlapping with flawless symmetry. His small limbs elongated, reshaping into elegant, razor-edged appendages that refracted no light.

A mantis-like form emerged, vast, cathedral-sized, yet impossibly slender. Six wings unfolded behind him. Not wings of flesh or energy, but wings of folded space as white origami formed from compressed void.

Each subtle movement causes space to hesitate, even though it is under Jacob’s absolute control.

Most absurd of all, where Whiteness’s face had been, there were no eyes, and instead, floating at the crown of his head, a hexagonal white sigil slowly rotated.

It seemed to be the same hexagon that Whiteness had destroyed earlier, but now, it felt like a law-organ, not an artifact.

Seeing the colossal mantis and sensing its ethereal presence, Jacob noticed something that sent a chill through even his tempered soul. The colossal insect cast no shadow, as if even light was afraid of touching its body.

Jacob stared with absolute astonishment and dread as he encountered an ’insect’ hidden within a child’s body, which was the least thing he had expected.

"This... thing..." Jacob muttered, his voice low, controlled, but edged with disbelief.

At this moment, Immortika’s playful yet slightly stern voice rang, "Aletheion Albus! Ranked 5th within the ranking of the top hundred Fantastic Insects, also known as the Void Mantis!"

The cursed book revealed Whiteness’s true origin without Jacob asking a single question.

"Furthermore, that Aletheion Albus is a Higher Law God, with five Crown Rings in its Celestial Astrolabe! A Void Mantis is born in the depths of Universal Void, and most of the time, it won’t even survive for a second.

"Which means the Void Mantis in front of you has not only survived, but has also dominated a region of the Void, meeting all the requirements for its evolution and breaking into the realm of Higher God no less.

"If I begin to tell you how harsh the conditions for that Void Mantis are to reach at his current rank, you won’t even believe it, nor do you have time. But those conditions are even harsher than the Eclipse Alipes Imhoff (Brain Hunter)!

"All you need to know is that Void Mantis is a being known as the Noble of Void, and its unique law is ’Null Void,’ which gives it an absolute advantage in any type of space, and even time laws won’t work against it."

Jacob’s eyes compressed to tiny beams when he heard all of that about the Void Mantis, especially the part about Whiteness being the 5th Rank Fantastic Insect on top of being a Higher ’Law’ God, a being above even Mythical Rank, making Jacob instantly drop all hope of capturing it or even killing it.

Because he was not delusional enough to believe he could capture it alive or kill it, even if he could suppress his divine energy and even cut off Whiteness’s connection with his unique law, he couldn’t harm it physically at all, even with his full strength!

Only now does he truly comprehend the gravity of the situation and why the suppression of the infinite space couldn’t fully seal Whiteness, because he was not only dealing with a terrifying Fantastic Insect but also the strongest kind of God, a Law God!
