Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1155: Where to Run? (4)

This reaction made Whiteness’s gaze snap down and then slowly lift back to Jacob, as he knew better than anyone that the hexagon compass’s orientation was unmistakable.

Now, it was pointing directly at Jacob, and the realization crystallized instantly.

"...So, it’s you," Whiteness whispered with startle and murderous certainty intertwining, "the heretic!"

’Heretic?’ Jacob was startled when Whiteness called him "heretic," and his eyes compressed into condensed beams as he couldn’t help but think, ’Is he referring to the Cursed One? Could he be another one of Destin Saint’s minions or related to Immortal Nimrod? How did he find me so quickly!?’

His eyes shifted incisively to the hexagonal compass, which was shaking violently in Whiteness’s hand. ’Don’t tell me it’s because of that disk!’

Apparently, Jacob was very sensitive to this topic, and with how strange Whiteness was behaving and that peculiar white ’disk’ in his hand, he couldn’t help but connect Whiteness with his enemies.

But what both Jacob and Whiteness hadn’t expected was that the compass wasn’t pointing at Jacob; instead, it was reacting to Autarch, in the body of Lamia Queen, behind him.

Nonetheless, in Whiteness’s mind, everything aligned at that moment, from the impossible concealment, severed causality, the isolated realm, and finally, the compass’s erratic behavior.

Whiteness has already considered Jacob guilty of heresy against his master, making the latter his target.

On the other hand, Jacob became extremely wary of Whiteness, but he also knew that this was an opportunity to capture one of the enemy’s minions since he had intruded in the Infinite Space on his own.

Even if Whiteness ended up not being related to Destin Saint or Immortal Nimrod, he might know something about the ’Cursed One’ or ’Heretic,’ and that hexagon disk seemed to be some kind of guiding treasure.

Without hesitation, Jacob stops holding back and uses his full authority of the Infinite Space to capture Whiteness!

When Whiteness felt that suppression suddenly growing stronger and weighing down on his very being, he became solemn, for he was not afraid of Jacob, but what he feared was this space.

After all, this realm could suppress a Higher God like him while thoroughly ignoring the cosmic hierarchy.

The most important fact behind Whiteness fear was that this place has severed him from the Supreme One’s gaze, making his imagination run wild to extremes.

’Someone is helping this Heretic, or rather someone had helped him. But that someone did not show themselves even until now...’ Whiteness’s mind raced, ’A being capable of creating or empowering such a space would not casually expose themselves. But they would also not kill a Higher God lightly. They would be bound by taboos, by unspoken accords like the Supreme One.’

Suddenly, Whiteness’s eyes revealed a hint of madness when he thought about how that ’existence’ didn’t directly move to restrain him and probably used this space’s suppression to warn him or tell him that the Heretic was under their protection.

’Even if you are a taboo existence, even if you are capable of evading the Supreme One’s gaze...so what!?’ The madness in Whiteness’s eyes grows deeper. ’For the Supreme One, I will sacrifice my own!’

In Whiteness’s heart, his own life didn’t matter as long as he could get rid of this Heretic for the Supreme One and eliminate this hidden danger.

Furthermore, when Whiteness creates this ’hidden existence’ behind Jacob in his mind, he also considers why such an existence might be hiding in places like the Legendary Plains, and considers various possibilities.

The biggest one being this existence had to be injured or hiding from someone, and if that was the case, then it means this hidden existence can only use limited power.

This means he still had a chance!

’If I stalled, I would die. If I spoke, I would lose initiative. If I hesitated, the suppression might deepen. But if I killed the heretic first, this space, no matter how terrifying, might lose its anchor.

’Once I escaped back into the Legendary Plains, this isolated domain would become a liability rather than a sanctuary, and whoever is hiding here is doing so for a reason. They cannot step openly into the Zodiac Plains...’ Whiteness concluded coldly, ’And if I escape... I live!’

At that moment, his loyalty crystallized as he would die for the Supreme One’s will if needed, but not pointlessly, and he would not fail.

Right at that moment, Jacob finally sensed something awry, especially when Whiteness remained standing despite his full effort to put him under a seal like his other ’specimens’.

Furthermore, he had already connected Whiteness with beings like Immortal Nimrod and Destin Saint, which made him instantly think that he might be another being like the Fateless Celestial.

Without hesitation, Whiteness moved!

Jacob’s eyes trembled violently at that moment, when the white hexagon in Whiteness’s hand shattered into countless fragments of blinding pallor, each fragment unfolding into layered sigils that did not radiate power but erased reference.

’He’s not completely suppressed by the Infinite Space, and according to Immortika, only Divine Treasures like the Temple of the Blazing Flames couldn’t be fully suppressed, while the Divine Soulless Pagoda is still considered dangerous because of its artifact spirit, Soulless.

’And since this guy can also move despite the suppression of the infinite space, this means...’ Jacob’s Eyes of Judge turned profoundly bright as he finally turned serious because he knew what it meant to have such an opponent within the infinite space.

Before, he was full of confidence and was using the infinite space suppression without using any of his own abilities, but now things have changed completely because the opponent was probably above the Quasi-Myth Rank or might even be the Mythical King Rank!

Whiteness also noticed the instant changes in Jacob’s demeanor, but it was none of his concern as he had already decided to end this with a single as his childlike form blurred, his presence stretching, folding, expanding as something vast and alien stirred beneath the surface.

At that moment, Whiteness gave no warning, or declaration, but only intent, vast and supreme, completely outside the realm of mortals.

"Kneel," Whiteness whispered softly, his voice carrying the weight of an execution decree, "and be erased, heretic!"

With that, the Higher God struck, unleashing his attack directly at Jacob, intent on annihilating him before the unseen master of this space could intervene!
