Chapter 65 Near Fatal
Chapter 65: Chapter 65 Near Fatal
"Urgh! It hurts!"
Lars lay on the ground, clutching his abdomen as the swordsman pulled his long sword free.
"Lars!"
Celine tried to run toward him, but a man from the group that had arrived as reinforcements grabbed her. She struggled desperately to break free.
However, another man quickly pressed a handkerchief over her mouth. Celine’s eyes slowly closed before she lost consciousness.
"Hey, Kay Sung, why don’t you finish that guy?" Thom asked as he stretched his neck.
"There is no need. I cut his abdominal aorta. He will die within minutes," Kay Sung replied. He then swung his long sword, and the blade suddenly vanished into countless white feathers.
"Let’s go." Kay Sung turned around and led the group away.
"Come on! Move your asses faster! We need to get out of here before those two old men arrive!" Thom shouted at his injured men.
The group quickly followed him, leaving Lars lying on the ground.
"Ce...line..."
Lars reached out his hand toward Celine, who was unconscious on one of the men’s backs. He quickly searched for his phone and called Max.
(Hello! Lars? Why are you calling? Hello?)
Lars’s head began to grow light as blood continued pouring from his wound. As his vision started to blur, memories of his family suddenly flooded his mind. His mother, Lia, Layla, and finally...his late father.
"Dad... am I going to see you?"
A strange feeling of nostalgia suddenly washed over him.
’Is this what it feels like when someone is close to death?’
But suddenly, Lars clenched his teeth as his eyes sharpened with determination.
"No! I don’t want to die yet! There are... so many things I still... need to do..."
He then changed his class to Divine Ranger. Lars quickly brought out dozens of arrows from his Inventory. He grabbed one of them and the arrow immediately became covered in a brilliant yellow light.
It was the effect of the skill Healing Arrow. Lars gritted his teeth before stabbing the arrow directly into his wound. The arrow vanished, and his body was immediately enveloped in a warm, yellow light. He repeated the process several times.
"Not enough yet! I need more!" Lars grunted.
He continued stabbing the Healing Arrows into his wound until nearly 30 arrows had been used. Finally, he looked down at his injury.
The wound was almost completely closed. He tried to stand up. But suddenly...his vision went completely black.

District 22 Dungeon Hospital
Lia had just finished attending to one of her patients. She wiped the sweat from her forehead with her arm before going to wash her hands.
Her shift was nearing its end, and she planned to return to her quarters and get a good night’s sleep. She then pulled her hair back.
Although her hair was already short, reaching only to her neck, she still wasn’t comfortable working with it down.
Suddenly, a commotion erupted. A group of medical staff were rushing a man on a stretcher toward one of the emergency zones.
Lia was about to ignore it, as there were already enough staff attending to him and her shift was almost over. However, her eyes suddenly widened when she noticed Max standing nearby. He looked extremely restless.
She knew Max well. He had often come over to her family’s house to play when they were children. Lia immediately walked toward him.
"Max. What are you doing here? Is someone from your family inside?" Lia asked with concern.
Max was surprised when he saw Lia.
"Lia! It... it’s Lars!" His face had turned pale.
The moment Lia heard his words, she felt the blood rush to her head, and her heart seemed to stop for a moment. She immediately rushed into the emergency room and made her way toward the stretcher.
Then, she froze. Lars was lying there with his shirt completely soaked in blood.
"Lars! Lars!" she shouted.
"Dr. Lia! Do you know this patient?" another staff member asked.
"This is my brother!"
All the staff members were shocked. However, Lia immediately pulled up her surgical mask and tied her hair back. She put on a pair of gloves and stepped forward.
"Everyone, let’s resus him!" She immediately took charge of the team.
"Dr. Lia! You don’t need to do this. Let me handle it. You should wait outside," one of the doctors said.
"It’s fine. I will help you," Lia replied. She immediately focused on Lars.
Using her only hands, she tore open Lars’s blood-soaked shirt. Then, she saw the wound just above Lars’s umbilicus. It had almost completely closed.
Lia then looked at the monitor. His blood pressure was dangerously low, while his heart rate was extremely high. She immediately understood what was happening.
"He’s lost a massive amount of blood! Activate the Massive Transfusion Protocol!" she shouted. The medical staff immediately sprang into action.
Outside the emergency room, Max paced back and forth restlessly. He recall back the moment he received call from Lars but Lars was silence. He had tried calling him back, but there had been no response.
He felt something wrong. That’s why he had gone to Lars’s rented building. When he arrived, he was shocked to find a group of people gathered around one area.
Then he saw Lars lying on the ground with his entire body was covered in blood. The ambulance arrived shortly afterward, and Max immediately went with Lars to the hospital.
"What happened to him? Was he attacked?" Max kept asking himself the same question.
A few hours passed. Eventually, exhaustion caught up with him, and Max fell asleep while sitting on one of the chairs. Suddenly, someone gently touched his shoulder. He opened his eyes and it was Lia.
"Lia! How is Lars?" he immediately asked.
"He’s safe. Right now, we’re transfusing blood to him."
"Thank God!" Max let out a sigh of relief.
"Max, before you arrived here, did someone use a healing skill on him?" Lia suddenly asked.
"Hmm? I don’t think so. I didn’t see anyone approach him or use a skill on him. Why do you ask?"
"The wound on his body looks like he was stabbed. The wound probably entered through his back and pierced straight through."
"If I follow the path of the wound, it should have passed directly through his abdominal aorta."
"But when we performed a scan, his abdominal aorta was completely intact," Lia explained.
Max thought about it for a moment. Then, he suddenly remembered something.
’Did he actually use a skill from that Archer class that can use heal skill?’ He wondered.
But suddenly, Lia grabbed his shoulder tightly, startling him.
"Now, Max... tell me the truth. What happened here? Is Lars involved in something dangerous?" Her eyes sharpened as she stared directly at him.
