Chapter 534: Chapter 532:Ravena (2)

Magnus Von Draken stepped into the room, his face hard and cold.

"Ravena... a word, if you may," the man began speaking, but—

"I may not, you old snake." Ravena shut him down, his words cutting short at her cold tone.

"Old man, don’t you ever get tired? This same farce whenever I am back? Do you truly enjoy sucking the feet of those outsiders so much?" Ravena’s voice was thick with disdain as she looked at her father.

It was always the same thing with this man. Whenever he appeared, it was always the same useless proposition.

"Ravena, be mindful of your words. These outsiders you speak of are the root source of our bloodline, the very bloodline that has made you what you are today, so do not besmirch their presence."

"Heh! I really wonder if your dick has been replaced with a vagina. Maybe one of those young masters is bending you over backwards and really satisfying your sexual urges, because you sound like a proper whore, old man." Her words were without restraint as she openly mocked her father.

"You have no idea what it is you’re giving up, Ravena." Magnus took a deep breath, unwilling to get into a spat with his daughter. "This union will not only benefit the family, but also benefit you. The young master has already promised to fully unlock the potential of your bloodline should you agree—that’s something none of us, not even your big brother, can boast about," Magnus reasoned, his daughter’s hardheaded nature being something he truly detested.

He had always blamed her nature on her rebellious older brother, Regulus, a man that to this day remained a very volatile wildcard. So the man was desperate; he needed a failsafe for when Regulus inevitably lashed out, and that failsafe...

"He could be God for all I care, old man, and it still wouldn’t matter. His status, his presence, their history with our family—none of it matters, never did, never will. Now leave while I’m still being courteous." Ravena replied, done with the whole conversation.

Magnus stared at his daughter, his eyes slowly losing any remnants of expression as his face turned cold.

"Haa... Ravena, do not force my hand."

Ravena’s expression went cold at his words. "Old man, is that a threat?"

Hummmmm!!!!!

A slow hum began filling the room as—

"Hmm? What... what is this?" Ravena’s eyes widened in alarm.

"The laws... my power..." She had just felt herself become disconnected from the laws of the world as a sudden weakness overcame her body.

"Old snake, what are you doing?" she spat.

"This is for your own good, Ravena. You won’t understand it now, but you’ll appreciate it when the time comes," Magnus said.

"What the hell are you—" Her words were cut short as she stumbled from the bed, a sudden dizziness overcoming her.

"What... you old bastard..." Her words slurred as the world spun around her.

"I wanted this conversation to be more civilized, Ravena. I wanted it to be your own decision, that’s why I waited for that arrogant fool to leave so that he wouldn’t be able to influence your decisions anymore. But you’ve proven stubborn, dear daughter of mine."

Step. Step. Step.

The sound of soft footsteps came from the entrance of her door as multiple people in different attires made their way toward the room, and at the forefront, a black-haired youth with an arrogant smile on his face.

"Magnus, it seems diplomacy failed, just as I said it would," the young man spoke up arrogantly.

"Young master, she has proven too stubborn and influenced by her brother to understand what is good for her."

"Worry not, Magnus. I shall make her see reason; you have nothing to worry about. This union shall be one benefiting your family beyond your wildest dreams," the man smiled.

"Then I am assured." Magnus bowed, turning toward a fading Ravena. "You’ll forgive me for this, Ravena, I promise."

"Fucking—"

Darkness.

That’s all Ravena saw until eventually—

"Ughh..." She stirred, light slowly returning as her consciousness came back.

"Where..."

"Ahh... finally awake." A calm and masculine voice broke her from her drowsy thoughts as she looked up in alarm, her eyes locking onto a calm, arrogant-faced youth sitting before her.

"You!!" Her expression changed the instant she saw the young man as she made to stand, but—

Clang!!!

The rattling sound of chains being pulled echoed through the room as she was pulled right back onto the bed.

"This..." She looked down. All her clothes had been removed, leaving her completely naked.

"Bastard!!!!" She gritted her teeth, anger and shame boiling within her.

"I must say, you look more appealing than I’d have thought. I am quite pleased with my tastes," the young man mused, his eyes devouring her entire body.

"You animal... you will pay for this," Ravena spat, trying to summon her powers, but—

"They won’t work." The young man finally stood, his hands going for his clothes.

"Your powers have been effectively sealed." His top came off as Ravena’s face paled.

"I hadn’t wanted to do this while you were unconscious, as that would’ve felt too wrong, but now that you’re awake—" His pants fell soon after as he stood naked before Ravena, his steps taunting as he approached her. "—I believe it’s time."

"No..." Ravena’s face whitened, her body shaking. "Please... no..."

"Worry not, Ravena... I’ll be gentle." The youth smiled lasciviously as he pinned her beneath him.

"No... Regulus..." were the last words she spoke before—

"Ahhh.... Yes..." The youth groaned, his act of defilement beginning—an act that broke Ravena in more ways than one.

....

The Abyss...

Boom!!! Boom!!! Boommm!!!

Explosions abounded within the central region of the Abyss as two figures clashed without end. They had moved from the outer reaches to the inner reaches, and now they had turned the central Abyss into their own personal battlefield as their fight overturned the lands.

The world shook around them, unable to contain their battle, as the two had grown far more powerful in their few days? Few months? Few years? Time in the Abyss was always wonky, and they cared not for it anyway.

BOOOOOOOOMMMMMM!!!

Another cataclysmic explosion rocked the place as their figures were finally revealed.

"Haa... haaa... haaa..." Regulus, battered and worn, breathed heavily, excitement clear on his face as he stared at his opponent.

Valen, looking no better himself, leveled the golden-haired man with an irritated look.

"You’ve been training, Valen. Hahaha... This has been the most fun I’ve had yet."

"For the fact that you can still talk, it means I’ve yet to really get strong." Valen’s voice was still stoic, still cold.

"Hehehe... Don’t be like that, old—" Regulus’s words stopped as his expression iced over. "Ravena..."

"What happened?" Valen asked, his expression serious.

"I don’t know. But Ravena... Something is wrong! We need to go, now!" Not giving Valen any time to ponder, Regulus moved, his form blurring at speeds unfathomable as he scaled the central Abyss in no time, reaching one of the everlasting cities, pulling at the fabric of space there, and forcing his way out.

Valen appeared soon after, going after his friend as he could sense the urgency in his movements.

...

Terra.

Crack!!!

Space fractured as a figure tore its way out violently, uncaring for the structural stability of the gates.

"Ravena... Please..." Regulus pleaded, his face shining with urgency as his eyes turned toward the location of the floating islands.

He hadn’t even bothered to register Terra’s returning restraint as he moved, thundering toward the floating islands like a man possessed.

"Ravena... Please..."
