Chapter 519: Chapter 517:Clash!

A/N: sorry for the incredibly late Chapters, I came home incredibly late from work yesterday so I just kinda collapsed into my bed and slept off. I’ve only got one Chapter ready now and the second might arrive later, like in a few hours since I’ve got a shit ton of other things to do. I’ll probably only be doing two today, so please bear with me, and as always...

Enjoy...

***********

The region remained dead silent as the group watched the space Dante had just left thoughtfully.

They could still feel their connection to him, yet they couldn’t quite tell where he went, but that didn’t matter.

"Master... has given his directives." A calm, stoic voice suddenly cut through the silence as the tension that had been paused instantly peaked.

Shulvan stood, eyes blazing a crimson red as he leveled the harbingers a deathly stare, "Make her trauma a past she will only remember to laugh at." His words made the others glance back at Sana.

The woman still stood where Dante had left her, her expression grim. Nyssara stood by her side, a supportive gesture the tower spirit more than appreciated.

"Alright." Malachi’s body began glowing a brilliant gold as his form started changing.

His fur gave way to bright golden armor, his features got refined as a crown of pure gold manifested around his head.

The aura of grandeur and majesty around him pressed outward like a weight upon the soul.

"Just like last time?"

ROOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAARRRRRRR!!!! A thunderous and excited roar was the only reply he received as Paku’s massive arm reached out, grabbing a harbinger with the number 02, punching clean through reality as the barrier shattered and he stepped through, taking the opponent somewhere he wasn’t going to be distracted.

"Heh! Excited little fucker." Malachi sneered, his gaze settling upon the one with label 01, his intention clear, he wanted the presumed strongest thei time around as the last time, Shulvan had beat him to the punch, yet before he could act...

CLANG!!!

The sound of a chain shooting out reached him first as the harbingers weren’t about to wait around and be picked off.

Space fractured into countless pieces as the golden chain appeared right before the monkey. The pressure pressing against his mind as, like the others harbingers had been trying to do before, it tried to get the monkey to submit, accept judgement, and be punished, but,

"Audacious little insect." Malachi’s voice wasn’t even angry. It was pure indifference. Pure arrogance. Pure disregard.

"You dare demand submission? Fine." He reached out a hand,

Creeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

The war jarring scraping sound of metal against metal blaring through the reaches of space as he caught the chain, leveled the harbinger a blank look, "I shall make your end a very painful one."

WAP!

The world glitched and then, gone.

Both he and the harbinger that had attacked vanished from the spot.

"Haa... this is way too much work." Leo sighed, his feathers ruffling.

"Well, unless you want to destroy our new friend’s planet right off the bat, I suggest you better get moving." Salazar laughed, his eyes trained on the two remaining harbingers and the Calderan behind them.

"Can’t you just like stop time or shift the damages to be done into another timeline?" Leo asked, reluctant to move.

"That’ll fuck up a whole lot of other things if I did." Salazar replied.

"Who cares?" The griffon shrugged.

"Alright, go ahead then. But that’ll leave you to face two by yourself."

"Heh! It hurts my feelings to think you guys have forgotten me so easily." Xuan’s voice interrupted their conversation.

The emperor’s gaze hadn’t once left the Calderan youth behind the harbingers, as that was who he was after.

The Calderans had subjected his family to a loss they hadn’t yet fully recovered from, and now a new oppressor had arrived. He could feel it. This youth was many times more powerful than the sleazy fellow that had been appointed here before.

"A World Seed expert." His expression was grim, yet the excitement bled through still.

A World Seed expert. To think he’d finally be facing one so soon, and one that came from a force like the Caldera family.

"Alright, Xuan, let’s get it done, and fast. I want to see how Dante reacts to being blue-balled by our effectiveness." The griffon spread out his wings, a sickening grey hue bleeding out of him,

"That’s a very strange sense of motivation you’ve got there, my friend." Xuan’s aura began mounting as the space around his body bent to his will.

"I’m just curious, and that is all." Was Leo’s response before,

"Veil of agony." His voice rang through the very souls of those present as the grey aura from his body solidified around the entire region, locking it down.

"Ahh... no!!!!" A terrified scream came from behind Shulvan as the woman he had held hostage was the first to feel it, but it didn’t end there,

"Ahhh!!! Mother!! No!!!!" Another terrified scream echoed through the region.

"My baby!!! My baby!!!" Then another.

"I shall have your head, you demon!!! Let go of my wife!" And another.

One by one, the crowd of powerhouses that had surrounded the region in curiosity, people that’s could call down rain and Thunder within their respective territories that had merely gathered at the excitement, wanting to see who was audacious enough to antagonize the harbingers of the judge’s will, were all suddenly pulled into a realm of agony.

Many had lived lives of pain and suffering to get to their current realms of power, but now Leo had pulled them back into those pains and suffering and this time, it was unending.

The griffon’s eyes had already turned into a spiral of hopelessness as he leveled the harbinger with the number 04,

"Show me your fear." His voice was nothing but a whisper in the ears of the pale being as he finally evoked the essence of fear for the first time.

"Audacious mortal. I am a harbinger of the lord’s will, I fear not—" The words were cut short as the eyes of the harbinger turned a deathly grey and it was pulled into a separate mindscape, one where a very excited griffon was waiting with a despairing smile.

...

"Heaven-turning palm." Xuan called out as he pushed out his palm. He had seen what Leo did, but that hardly mattered to the man as he finally moved against the only person here that concerned him, the Calderan.

"Audacious!!!!" The youth exploded!

"A measly emperor placed in power by my family’s hands dares raise his power against me? You shall pay!" The purple eyes of the young man flared as the essence of inevitability surged through him and then,

Pssshtttt!!!!

Blood sprayed through the darkness of space as Xuan’s arm came flying off his body.

"Humph! Lucky you, but I won’t miss next time." The youth scoffed, annoyed that Xuan had actually predicted his move and somehow prevented his own inevitable death.

"Samsara origin scripture: Rebirth."

Hummmm!!!!

The glow of brilliant white light covered the emperor’s body as his form was made whole once more, and he launched himself towards the Calderan youth,

"Your death has already been decided, puny emperor, accept your fate." The youth sneered, his arms reaching out as he pulled on the very fabric of reality itself and then,

RIIIIIIPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!

Xuan’s body was violently ripped into two,

"Like I said—"

"Rebirth."

Xuan’s voice rang out once more as the same light from before covered his body and he manifested whole once again, but this time, right before the Calderan youth.

He ignored harbinger 01, not even placing the threat in his mind as his palm reached out,

"Inverted dao sutra: Fate reversal." The Calderan youth paled the moment Xuan’s palm met his chest as he could feel death so surely that escape was a foregone conclusion, but,

"My survival... is inevitable!!" His command registered like a decree and then,

HONG!!!! A sound that echoed through reality and the wider universe thundered through the region, both Xuan and the youth blasting backwards as the clash between their attacks was something neither expected.

One demanded the reversal of fate for the other.

The other claimed his continued existence was inevitable.

The two ideologies. The two concepts. The two laws clashed, and reality was forced to adjust as neither could overcome the other.

"Haa.. Haa.. Haa.. puny emperor!!! I’ll make you pay!!!"

"Calderan scum! It’s time for your reckoning."

The two leveled each other deathly glares, before,

BLIP!!

They moved. Their figures becoming nothing but unseen blurs as they clashed, not just physically, but ideologically.

What happens when one controlled fate’s movement, but the other controlled the inevitability of all things?

An immovable object meeting an unstoppable force.

"I grow tired of this farce." That wasn’t of any concern to harbinger 01 as it leveled its unimpressed eyeless gaze upon Shulvan’s stoic figure,

"Let’s put an end to this."

A/N: Yea, I’m not so sure how wise it is picking a fight with the crimson murder hobo buddy...
