Chapter 520: Chapter 518:Eternal Worship.

The region was in disarray.

Terrifying shockwaves bled off the collision of both Xuan and the Calderan, A’horvan, as whatever it was they came across was instantly disintegrated. The audience was still locked in the veil of agony, many already crying tears of blood, their life essence slowly bleeding out of them as death was but a few moments away.

Leo and Harbinger 04 were still locked within a realm only the two were permitted to access, the Harbinger’s face twitching every few moments as every now and then, the expressionless mask on his face gave way to one of unspoken terror.

Yet the real MVP this time around was Salazar.

The Chronari had regained his almost translucent state of being as his hands weaved nonstop in a dizzying motion. Their state of being was imperceptible, as they existed not just in one timeline but in multiple different timelines at the same time. His job of damage redirection was performed flawlessly as he transferred whatever damage the martial spirit world and the surrounding region should’ve suffered into separate timelines—dead zones where continuity had met its end and nothing was allowed to exist. This was where the Chronari had decided to let the damage bleed into.

But all of this—all the noise, the carnage, the time manipulation—had nothing to do with the face-off now beginning to kick off.

...

"I grow tired of this farce," Harbinger 01 voiced out in intent, his thread-blinded eyes locked onto the stoic figure of Shulvan, who had yet to budge an inch after giving out his directives.

"Let’s put an end to this, once and for all."

The moment he finished speaking,

KARRRANGGGG!

The sound of chains coming undone echoed through the region as, like snakes from the depths, multiple golden chains burst out from the Harbinger’s back. One... two... four... ten... More than ten golden chains floated eerily behind the Harbinger as his presence was fully let out.

Creeeaaaakkk!

The entire region creaked and teetered at the edge as the weight of the Harbinger’s presence felt too heavy to bear.

"Damn... this guy is strong!" Salazar, forced out of his time state temporarily, couldn’t help but acknowledge as the release of 01’s aura had destabilized the temporal rigidity of the region, forcing the Chronari to temporarily lose hold of the timeline’s thread.

BOOOOOOMMMMMMM!

The horrifying explosions coming from the collision between Xuan and the Calderan snapped him out of his surprise, as he once again pulled on the timeline’s thread, resuming his role as damage control.

"To think existences like you had been hidden within this desolate region of the cosmos," 01 shook his head. "The Lord will be upset."

Shulvan remained silent, disinclined to respond to the Harbinger.

"Your silence will not spare you from judgment, mortal. Your continued existence threatens the balance of power Master wishes to keep as the judge of the cosmos, so I must, as his servant, remove you."

The aura coming off of 01 began mounting, his presence becoming heavier by the second. Shulvan’s expression didn’t so much as twitch; the man looked like he hadn’t even registered the presence before him as he glanced past the Harbinger, his gaze falling upon the figure of Xuan, who was still heavily contending with the Calderan—their battle being the only truly destructive one.

He wasn’t bothered about Leo and the others; no, he knew what they were capable of, and knew well enough that the battles were only going to last as long as the excitement they got did. So all he cared about at this moment was making sure his master’s newest friend and brother wasn’t a burden, and—

"Good."

He was apparently pleased by the results as he nodded, all traces of the subservient fanatic nowhere to be seen as the aura of leadership and authority coming off of him was one the others would be surprised to see had they been paying any attention.

"To think you dare ignore me," Harbinger 01 cut through Shulvan’s thoughts as his aura finally peaked. "No matter, the replies of a dead man mean little to me."

Done with his words, the Harbinger attacked.

SWIIIIIIIII...

The chains behind him didn’t move. No. The concept of movement would’ve been too mundane to describe them. The chains had already happened to Shulvan before they even left the harbinger’s vicinity, the reality behind them fracturing like fragile glass.

"Accept your punishment in the name of the L—"

Shulvan finally moved, raising his hand as his palm opened up.

CRAAAAAAANNNNNGGGGG!

The sound of grinding metal against metal echoed through the region as the blinding golden tip of the conjoined chains slammed into his outstretched palm, but they met no flesh. A sharp, crystalline snap rang out, the sound of reality fracturing under compression. The leading edge of the chains starred, a web of hairline cracks racing across the solid golden links before the entire thing splintered inward. Shards of brilliant golden material sheared off like brittle glass, showering Shulvan in an almost divine glow that only made the menacing fellow look all the more terrifying.

The Harbinger was slammed back from the aftershock of having his attack turned to golden dust, his eyeless gaze widening in shock.

"Impossible..." he muttered, disbelief clear on his plain expression.

"You are being a bother. Know your place."

Shulvan’s gaze finally registered the Harbinger as the weight of his existence finally pressed outward.

BANG!

The sound of something shattering rang through the space as the Harbinger was forced onto his knees.

"Im... impossible..." 01 groaned in pain.

Pain? Impossible! He was supposed to have transcended such a mundane concept, so how was this even possible? No, how was he even on his knees?

"UNACCEPTABLE!"

He roared, aura flaring as his eyes blared a blinding gold, his consciousness sank into the flow of fate as he activated the gift his master had bestowed upon him.

"Eyes of Fate."

Pulling on the threads of fate, he looked and searched for those belonging to Shulvan, intending on severing them and effectively ending this farce, but—

"It is futile."

A pair of crimson eyes opened within his consciousness as they peered down in cold disregard.

SHATTTERRR!

The fateline shattered as the Harbinger was forced out, his breathing heavy, his body soaked in fear as terror unlike any other gripped him—a terror so deep it was unlike anything he’d ever felt, as not even his master, Penance, a genuine pillar, could evoke such terror.

"Futile efforts. Your attempts at stopping Master’s will—that’s all it is." Shulvan’s voice pulled the trembling Harbinger’s gaze upward. "Your continued existence is solely for the fact that Master wishes to mate and go into his woman—"

Sana’s face went bright red at such a topic being brought up suddenly in such a situation, but Shulvan cared not for the woman’s embarrassment as he continued.

"So be still. And be appreciative of my master’s benevolence, for the moment he returns, your end shall be finalized."

Done with his words, the man turned his gaze away from the trembling and kneeling Harbinger as he watched the battle between Xuan and the Calderan, his mind set on not making any moves until his master, Dante, finally arrived.

"Did you not hear me?"

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The sound of a head smashing into the floor continuously began echoing out as the Harbinger began hitting his head on the solidified spatial floor.

"If I said be appreciative of Master’s benevolence, then so shall you be, for that... is your sentence. Eternal worship."
