Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension
Chapter 454 - 452:Apostle of Time.
Chapter 454: Chapter 452:Apostle of Time.
The excitement from the group was palpable enough for even the emperor and his family to feel it.
"Alright, let’s—"
"Later, fuckers!" I wasn’t even done speaking when Salazar’s form vanished like a mirage from the room.
"Ehh?" The bastard had really been serious about not waiting behind next time.
"Shit! He’s going to take all the fun for himself!" Paku’s scream jolted everyone awake as we all made haste after the sneaky bastard.
With a single thought, spatial displacement placed me right in the middle of, well—
BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!
A horrifying explosion rocked the orbit as flames spewed forth like a geyser, a multitude of ships being turned to scrap metal as Salazar stood with his hands facing forward as multiple versions of himself overlapped constantly.
His body had gone nearly fully transparent. It was like he was existing at different states of time all at the same time.
The ships exploding around him weren’t doing so because they were being hit by a terrifying force.
Not at all.
Salazar’s strikes didn’t just hit the ships themselves; no, they hit their timeline instead.
Space around the vessels fractured into a sickening, triple-exposed blur. For a terrifying second, three distinct hulls occupied the exact same space: the gleaming, untouched vessels from days past, the battle-worn ships of the present, and the blackened, hollowed-out wrecks from five seconds in the future.
Reality didn’t seem capable of rectifying the contradictions.
Multiple alarms blared to life, yet even those seemed to have been sheared into three different parts: one part pristine and clear, another a distorted scream, the last a dead silence of the vacuum of space.
Then came the chain reactions. The ships ruptured from within, but they didn’t just explode once; no, they exploded across their entire history. The pristine ships blew out their pristine seams, the present ships ruptured with a deafening kinetic roar, while the future hulls erupted again in a dying gasp of trapped plasma.
Three identical ships, superimposed over one another, exploding in a single, blinding flash of temporal feedback, tearing the vessels to pieces before, during, and after the strikes even landed.
It was a mesmerizing sight to behold, a symphony of carnage being played out in the void of space, and Salazar just stood with his arms outstretched like some macabre choirmaster of carnage.
"Damn! This bastard is trying to show off!!" Malachi roared out in frustration as he threw his staff out, the thing elongating as it shattered to pieces a multitude of ships, before returning to the monkey.
"The one with the least kills is a bitch!" He called out as his body shone a brilliant golden luster, before jumping headfirst into the fray, his form bounding straight for one of the ships with a powerful aura coming out of it.
"Heh! You guys are on." I smirked as my form blurred, and then—
DEVOUR!!
A black maw tore itself open within the void of space, and before anyone could react—
WOOSH!! WOOSH!!! WOOSH!!!
It didn’t matter if they were ships, people, or attacks, everything was immediately pulled toward the maw that had opened up within the vacuum of space.
"FUCK!!!" Malachi’s agitated cuss rang out loud and true as the monkey tried to prevent himself from becoming my lunch.
"YOU BASTARD!!! WHAT’S WITH THE FRIENDLY FIRE!!"
I ignored the monkey, all was fair in love and war.
"Want to compete against me? You’re a millennia too young, humph!" I increased the force from my origin as everything was swiftly sucked in, devoured, and converted into energy.
No. There weren’t any dramatic exits and challengers stepping forward in a last-ditch attempt to curb our rampage.
I had already eaten clean the one person that had some worth among these fools.
"Looks like you were right, my love," I thought silently as my body reappeared in the now-sorely lacking battlefield, feeling the lack of reaction from any of my origins despite having devoured an absurd amount of powerful beings just now.
"It seems it will take an incredibly powerful presence to even budge my existence level, huh? And numbers won’t make up for it, huh?"
"Well, I guess it’s only right then that I’ll soon be heading over to the abode of some universal powerhouse. I’m sure they have some people that can help me out from being stuck," I thought out loud.
There were bound to be some people there that can help elevate my existence level, even if by only a few notches, weren’t there? And maybe then I can also pick up some clues about the Lifetree of the prime universe, after all, there should be traces of the Lifetree’s bloodline on the family that birthed Mira’s and Clarissa’s ancient family.
A sudden feeling of melancholy came over me as I thought of my women that were still indisposed. It would be a lie to say I didn’t miss the random chaos that spawned whenever they were around, but just as well—
"Look at him squirm." Sana.
"Husband is just horny and trying to hide behind emotions." Terra.
"Tehee... it’s your fault for not yet being as you should. We would’ve had lots of fun by now." Shaia.
I was pretty glad I still had some crazy left in my head, at least my life is never a dull moment.
"Heh!" I looked around, checking for anything I might have missed; all I received were glares from the others as they all seemed pretty upset about the fact that I’d just yoinked the entire battle.
I ignored them, turning to the emperor and his forces that were just now arriving at the already concluded battle.
"This...."
"How is that even possible?"
"What?" The disbelieving voices of the man and his armored entourage echoed from behind me as I could feel the shock running through their bodies themselves.
And who could blame them? They’d just seen their oppressors left as nothing but a heap of floating debris, it was only right that a people that had been under the thumb of oppression all this while would be shocked.
"I suggest you don’t get shocked just yet, Emperor." I smiled as I turned around slowly, the others gathering behind me despite their earlier frustrations. "Things like this are going to be quite the common sight if you wish to follow me and see the end of your people’s suffering." I concluded.
...
...
"Young Dante," the man suddenly called out, face serious, "allow me to formally express my eternal gratitude at this moment." He bowed his head, as the rest of his entourage followed suit.
"I have yet to thank you properly for saving my daughters in the abyss, yet now, you are here taking on a battle that is not yours. I do not know how to thank you, so please just accept my bow." The man’s voice was as sincere as it could be.
"I guess now we know where the girls got that habit from." A small smile touched my lips as I replied,
"Worry not, Durmont. Either way, I was destined to confront this family, so your situation can just be considered an added benefit on your part."
"I am still eternally grateful."
"You can be grateful by standing up and helping me get ready to depart. I do not wish to waste any more time. I heard that little whelp earlier say something about a secret realm, I wouldn’t mind checking it out as well, while I’m at it." I raised the man up as I addressed him.
"At once, benefactor."
Ahh.. truly, like father, like daughters.
I could only shake my head helplessly as my aura covered everyone and spatial displacement took us away. It was time to get ready to visit a universal powerhouse.

A/N: I swear this Chapter was supposed to be out a while ago but I suddenly couldn’t put the images in my head to words, and slept off lol. I’m still having trouble with that so the Chapter is terribly short, and if you spot inconsistencies let me know, and as always,
