Chaos Devourer System: My Classless Ascension
Chapter 455 - 453:Elevation.
Chapter 455: Chapter 453:Elevation.
"Umm.. benefactor, what are we doing here?" The emperor, Durmont Varellis, asked as he looked around uneasily at the place I’d brought us to.
We’d finally left the vacuum of space and made our way back to Aetheris Prime, but before we got to any discussions, I had decided to get something done first.
"Well, Durmont, I’m about to take this planet for myself," I replied offhandedly.
Yes. That was right. I was about to acquire my second planet. Why? Because just like Terra, if I left this planet and went hunting, who’s to say those Calderans wouldn’t send others here first? They might be staying their hands because of Nyssara’s worth and the fact they don’t wish to antagonize their one ticket to ingratiating themselves with the true main family, but that didn’t mean they wouldn’t wreck a few lives just for the sake of punishment.
What they did after Father’s rampage already showed clearly where the headspace of these powers was.
"I’m sorry, but I don’t think I heard you correctly. Did you just say you were going to take Aetheris Prime?" Durmont asked in pure disbelief. And it wasn’t only him. His entire family and aides were all looking at me like I’d said something absurd, but—
"Yes, you heard me right. Now be quiet for a moment." I waved off their questions, uncaring for the silent shock that had stunned the entire group, my attention locked onto the conversation suddenly going on in my head.
"I won’t allow this, Husband. I’m the only wife you’re allowed to have as a planet." Terra refused adamantly the moment she realized what I wanted to do.
"But I’m not even ’marrying’ anything; I’m just taking the planet to keep it safe from the grubby mitts of those Calderans."
"It’s the same thing. She’s going to be attached to your soul as well, and I won’t allow it. I’m the only planetary wife you’re allowed to have. I don’t even know why you’re considering this? Is it because I haven’t given you my body yet? I thought I told you to wait till I’m ready? I’m already yours, your appetite can wait, no? I need to fully acclimatize to you before I can let you have your way, so why are you even doing this? Do you not like me? Do you hate me that much? Has Terra been bad??"
Damn!
I couldn’t even keep up with the barrage of questions before Terra already seemed on the verge of tears as she referred to herself in the third person.
Who knew the calm and passively aggressive Terra could be so much to handle when she’s... I couldn’t even tell if this was jealousy or a weird type of possessiveness, but—
"Sana... Shaia.. help me!" I could only ask for help at this point as the planetary consciousness seemed ready to explode into tears at the slightest mishap, yet—
"Oh... oh no.. don’t look at me. I’m perfectly fine where I’m at. That green-haired bimbo is about to cry and I’m all for it. A two-course meal of you being uncomfortable and the green-haired annoyance crying? Yeah, sign me the fuck up, ahahahahahahahaha..." Sana, this sadistic woman, merely laughed at my sorrow. As for Shaia—
munch munch
The woman was busy eating popcorn as she wore what were definitely 3D glasses, enjoying the show like it was some interesting movie.
"Where did you even get that shit? How are you even looking like that?" I could only ask in exasperation.
"I have my methods. You have the laws of creation and the concept BEGIN remember?" was her reply, but—
"What’s my comprehension got to do with why you’re like that?" I asked. "You know what? Never mind. Just help me calm Terra down, please." I had bigger matters to handle.
"No can do, my love. I’m invested in the act now; I’m curious how you’re going to get out of this one."
Damn, even Shaia was throwing me under the bus today.
"Ahahahaha.. that’s my girl." Sana laughed as she materialized within my soul space, sitting beside Shaia as the two got comfortable watching Terra cry.
"I’ll get you two back for this, I swear..." I growled toward the two women, but—
"Survive this one first, lover boy." Sana.
"You better not let Terra cry; nobody’s going to support you, tehee." Shaia.
I ignored the two smug traitors as I turned my attention to the still-downtrodden planet, taking a deep breath as I just said whatever came to mind: "Terra, my dear, don’t be like that. You know what you’re thinking isn’t true."
"But that’s exactly what’s happening. You’re adding another planet to your soul space because you’re tired of me."
"How could that be so? And weren’t you the one who even aided me in getting here? Why are you like this now?"
"I only did it because I thought Husband wanted to take the core and give it to me, not take the whole new planet and get married to another woman."
This... damn.
"Haaa... silly girl."
"He..hey!! I’m not silly!"
"Nope, you’re definitely very silly. If not, why would you even allow such a thought to sprout in that head of yours? That’s a thought for silly people."
"But..."
"Tell me, Terra, how long have you known me for?"
"Since you were born?"
"And under whose care did I grow up to be the man I am today?"
Sniff, sniff.
"Mi...mine?"
"Yours. So, please explain to me how you believe it’s possible for me to ever think of replacing you with another woman when I owe you quite a lot already?"
"So.. you aren’t getting yourself another planet for a wife? You aren’t upset with me for not having given you myself yet?"
"My dear, you make me sound like a lustful man who’s only after women’s bodies."
"Says it like he isn’t, humph!" Sana.
"Tehee.. to some extent, my love, you actually are after women’s bodies." Shaia.
Ahem!
Ignoring the two crazy commentators, I continued smoothly,
"I’m not upset with you, my dear wife." That word seemed to have been the key as the moody consciousness slowly perked up, so, taking my chance, I struck while the iron was hot. "All I’m doing now is just trying to safekeep something precious to one of your future sisters, so you shouldn’t worry yourself too much."
"But what will happen when another consciousness appears in your soul? Am I supposed to be alright sharing the same space with another planet? I can’t."
"Heh! Don’t worry, it’s me after all. I can choose what to take and what not to take, so I’ll only be taking the planet itself and nothing of a consciousness. So you, my dear wife, will be the ONLY planetary woman in my life."
Sniff, sniff.
"You promise?"
"I cross my eternal heart."
"Alright then, I’ll trust you... Husband." A smile couldn’t help but appear on my face as I watched the beautiful woman perk up completely.
Something about her just seemed absolutely beautiful when she was that strongly against my taking of another planet. I was almost tempted to jump her, but—
"Priorities... priorities." I can jump my hot planet later; for now, let’s take another one.
"Damn it! This must be how this bastard is still alive despite having so many crazy women around him, especially that aunt of his. This must be the trick he uses to pacify them. Fuck!" Of course, my two commentators weren’t silent, as Sana’s angry voice exploded out.
"Well, Sana my dear, I assure you his words aren’t the only THINGS he uses, tehehehe.. but I can’t say I’m surprised; my love has become a man of wonders with his words since his reincarnation, fufufufu..."
Wisely, I ignored the two before I got myself baited into another conversation that might have no end in sight.
"Alright then, let’s do this." My attention finally returned to the waking world as I focused on the beautiful cerulean blue core before me.
Just like with Terra’s core realm, the place was saturated with law essence, but here, unlike Terra’s, it was filled with the laws of water, the concept of moisture, and the like..
The situation once again highlighted how unique my lovely Terra truly was.
"Humph!" Terra.
An amused smile touched my face as I put my arm out. Ignoring the inquiring gazes of those around me, I gave the command mentally:
Devour...
<<DING>>
<<DEVOURING IN PROGRESS...>>
The familiar lightless black aura of devouring bled out of my open palm as it surrounded the entirety of the massive cerulean core before me, the process beginning swiftly, yet before it could go anywhere—
<<DING!!>>
A sudden chime from the system caught my attention:
[You’re about to acquire your second world...]
[Core world designation required...]
"Hmm? Core world? Shaia, what’s this?" I couldn’t help asking as I looked at the notification before me.
"I don’t know; try asking the system."
"Alright."
"System, what’s a core world?"
[DING!]
[The host is a <Bearer of Worlds> and that entails that host is bound to acquire and devour myriads of worlds, realms, and eventually even the cosmos should the host wish to do so.]
[To keep host’s being anchored and tethered to prevent strain of any kind on host should he take on that path, a core world is needed. The core world functions as the governing body of the entire system of worlds, realms, and cosmos the host may eventually acquire.]
"Damn..." Well, that wasn’t any big deal, right?
"What the fuck? There’s no way a cosmos can fit in your soul, right? ... right???" Even Sana was disbelieving, yet the system cared not for our disbelief, as...
[Core world designation required...]
[Assign core world...
1- Terra
2- Aetheris Prime.]
The instant those choices came up, I could feel Terra’s eyes burning holes in the back of my subconscious as I could only shake my head and give the order:
"The answer is obvious, System. I pick my wife."
"Humph!"
[DING!]
[Core world assigned successfully.]
<<RESUMING DEVOURING PROCESS...>>
And just like that, the entire core was surrounded by the black miasma as it was swiftly dislodged from its place and relocated to my soul space, and with it—
WAP!
The oceanic planet and everything in it were swiftly taken to my soul space, but before I could even begin to react to the fact that I’d just added another literal world to my soul—
[DING!]
[You have successfully acquired your second planet..]
[Core world <Terra> is assimilating the acquired planet... 1%... 10%... 50%... 99%..] The counter went up swiftly, and the moment it hit [... 100%], a blinding green glow burst out of my body as Terra was bathed in a beautiful glow of advancement, but that wasn’t even the most surprising fact, as with Terra’s advancement came:
[DING!]
[Your core world’s presence is being elevated...]
[DING!!]
[Your existence is being refined...]
"Ehh?"
