Breeding System:My Five Beast Husbands Want Heirs
Chapter 213: She did
Mira took a sour glance at the once perfect Hye Yang. The one everyone loved and wanted to be with reduced to nothing but a piece of lump beaten till her face looked like it could be remoulded and hand like a semi inflated penis.
"Death would be too good for you." Mira voiced out calmly, her words were slowed like she wanted her sister to take it all in. "It would simply free you of your evil deeds when you need time to learn the implications of your actions." At this point, Mira was thinking out loud. Mira placed a hand on her chin and gave it a good thought before finally speaking again.
"I want her gone. Banished from all the beast clans within my husbands authority but not allowed to leave either. She shall not be welcome in, nor shall any beast person give her aid or soothe her way of living. She shall toil for whatever she wants to eat and get every single thing, down to her attires with her bare hands. She will not be taught how to survive nor any skills. She must figure out how to do every single thing on her own." Mira took a short pause to catch her breath before speaking again. "Hye Yang must not own any property of her own. No land, nor place to live. She must not be offered shelter nor anything to warm herself during cold seasons.
No beast person from any tribe shall give her anything that will aid her with the basic needs for survival. If she wants to have it, she must make it from scratch without the already processed and altered materials that we have.
She must not eat anything planted nor use anything grown or caught by any of the beast people. The only herbs she can use to treat her wounds if she survives any are ones that grew on their own, wherever they had been grown. None of the self cleansing rivers and springs are open for her to drink and bathe in, she must find one that no one uses. And even if she must drink or bathe, it must be at a time where no beast person is present, in the darkest hours of the day. And only till the sound of the owl." That was a way time was measured, this was basically Mira saying Hye Yang had access to healthy water only for ten minutes in a day. "During this time, she can fetch and store water in clay pots that she made with her own efforts and once the owl has howled, she must be away from the rivers. Anything she has after then will be taken and destroyed, and she would be stoned till she leaves the beast region borders she had gone into."
"No healer will help treat her in any way, even if she is on the verge of death." Mira added, she was sure she had said this but she needed to say it again so everyone present understood and heard without any misconception. "She must also not be taken care of in any way no matter how pitiful she looks. The land will not favour you nor the people living on it."
Hye Yang felt her heart come to a stop as her sister listed all of these. This was worse than exile. She was sentencing her to a life of constant suffering while ensuring that she never leaves the borders nor be seen within the borders for she will be stoned. It would be better to die than live like this.
"No! You cannot!" Hye Yang yelled frantically, her eyes widening with what she knew as as terror.
The end of Mira’s lips curled with satisfaction. "Yes, actually. I can." Mira stated to her calmly.
Something about her calm tone made the entire thing sickening for Hye Yang. Her own blood was subjecting her to a life like this. The blood she wanted to ruin had ended up ruining her. Her life was over and it would be best for her to take it.
"You also are forbidden from ending your life." Mira added like she could read Hye Yang’s thoughts. "Shaman, cast a spell on her to ensure that no matter what she does, she cannot take her life with her own hands or by scheming with anyone. She will live to a good old age with the consequences of her actions."
Hye Yang struggled in the hands of the warriors holding her. Her entire body was throbbing but she did not care. "Stop this! This is so much for one beast person to bare!" Hye Yang begged. Her voice was trembling and her fright was evident in her tone.
"You were so good at inflicting pain in others. Enjoy being inflicted on." Mira said in a low breath. Now she turned to the beast people. "That is Hye Yang’s punishment now here is the punishment for you."
The moment Mira said this, the crowd went into chaos. They did not expect to be subjected to anything even though they had contributed to the old owner of this body’s suffering. Mira grit her teeth, she wanted to subject them to hardship but she chose against it. As the wife of the beast rulers, she had the power to make them suffer hardship for a little while without announcing it. Plus, she still wanted to make them like her so she rephrased her statement. "Rather, if you support the accused after her banishment begins."
The chaos in the crowd settled down a bit. This angered Mira, so these people could push a young fox to suffering but not want it? She would deal with them properly after she was the mother of all tribes.
"Here are the things you will be subjected to if you or any of your family members, closely related or distant dares to offer aid to Hye Yang." Mira stated with a firm voice. She lined her eyes over the now expectant crowd. "Anyone who offers Hye Yang an aid, be it as little as giving her herbs medicine or taking care of her wounds, be it giving her water to drink or food to eat, be it helping her with clothes to put on or wooden cutleries to eat or store food." Mira took a pause and ensured her eyes were dead panned on everyone in her line of sight. "Will be sentenced to an even worse fate that she is."
Gasps filled the air as well as murmurs. "And not just you, but every single person in your closest family and beyond. Be anyone if you with child or nursing. You will either choose yourselves or be banished."
Mira stared at the beast people, what she had just said would keep them at bay from offering any kind of help to her sister. Even if one of them chose to break the law, the family members would protest and report because it does not affect just the law breaker but them all and there would be no way anyone here would choose the life of Hye Yang out of the many beast people to theirs.
This will also get the cousin beast clans within the cheetah clan currently to spread the word about Hye Yang, further clearing Mira’s name so she found this as a bonus.
"Is that understood?" Mira question with a cold authority that made the beast people in the crowd respond to her in a chorus, all saying different words an sentences to show that they understood.
Mira turned to face some of the cheetah warriors standing nearby. "Go and fetch wood, a lot of wood, I want to light a fire." Mira blurted out loud to them, some of the vegan warriors departed then she turned to some others. "Go and bring the metal used for branding rogues." Mira said.
Hye Yang’s breath caught as an understanding immediately seeped through her head, her life would be over the moment she was branded as a rogue and she did not want that to happen. She could not afford it to at all. "Mira wouldn’t, would she?" Hye Yang muttered to herself in despair.
The cheetah warriors arrived shortly with a lot of wood. "Please, set it up so a fire can be lit up at the centre here." Mira said to them and they did as instructed.
On hearing Mira’s words, Hye Yang answered herself with dread. "She would. . . . no, she already did. . ."
Now Mira turned to the shaman. "Please light up a fire so hot and strong that it can melt iron." She told him. Mira did not want to wait to lead Hye Yang to a burning furnace and wait for the fire to get hot enough, she wanted this to be done with as soon as possible.
"Everyone would need to step back, oh wife of the great one. Very far away." The shaman said to Mira. It did not take long for Ming Tao to order the beast people to give way and they all did. Not long after, the cheetah warriors made their way back with the branding iron and the things needed to hold it after it was heated by fire. Now Mira and everyone at the open centre space stepped back too, leaving just the shaman at the centre as he prepared to start a burning flame.
