Chapter 214: Have that satisfaction

The air around Hye Yang felt hot. It was hot and choking that she could not breathe, like her aching lungs had not suffered enough in that regard.

The fire that had lit up before them had gotten so heated up that it she could feel it burn her skin even though she was not too close to it. This truly was flames ignited with magic. It had no furnace and was in open air yet it felt so hot that there were visible shifts in the air due to the heat, like the heat waves were seeable around the fire.

Hye Yang ignored the ache in her lungs and screamed her life out, while struggling in the hands of the warriors who did not easen their grip on her body even for a little bit. Her other hand was broken into numbness and her non dislocated hand was being clutched so hard by rock hard flesh that it seemed like the one holding her wanted to rip into her skin and Hye Yang felt her feet brush the hard ground as she was dragged through the distance that her feet could not manage to keep up with the pace of the cheetah warriors moving her.

"Unhand me this instant!" Hye Yang yelled with terror, it was not a command but a plea, a plea of a woman who knew she had absolutely nothing and absolutely nothing to lose nor live for but the only thing she could do was beg those who had everything she did not have to show her mercy. "Please! Your hand is tearing my skin. Please let go of me, that fire will harm me! Please, I do not want to be branded, please!" Hye Yang kept on begging. The closer she was dragged to the open fire, the hotter her skin felt. In fact, she felt like her entire body would be evoked in flames if she took another step closer yet it was not with every forced step she took.

Hye Yang began to struggle vigorously even though she knew it was futile. Her head swung up to meet with her pregnant sister who was far away from the fire and staring right at her. "Sister, sister please! Show me mercy, sister, please!" Hye Yang begged.

Mira only stoood and watched from a distance, a solid look on her face. The start of Mira’s brows narrowed inwards and a flicker of pity flung through her head as she stared at the sister the old owner of this body had come to live with and love now being lowered to nothing but a banished, worse than a rogue beast woman who would lead a life of nothing but endless suffering but this Mira did not care.

She had to ensure that Hye Yang had way too many problems to try to do another plot that could harm countless people. It was why she ensured that Hye Yang’s banishment was within the captivity of the region her husbands governed so Hye Yang would be safe from the enemy beast tribe. Mira knew that after they had been exposed because of Hye Yang’s memories, the evil beast tribe would want to deal with Hye Yang so that punishment was also a way of keeping Hye Yang alive.

It was also a way of ensuring that Hye Yang would never run back into their arms and plan something way more diabolical than she had already done. Mira wanted no one else getting hurt or being her victim and no matter how pitiful and painful this was, she would not let it get in her way of judgement.

The end of Mira’s lips curled slightly. More like my ears are sealed with bricks so her pleas are not even making their way in in the first place, Mira responded to system.

[ Hehe. Nice one host! ] System chimed. [ The evil one had roamed around for way too long and it was high time she had her own judgment. ]

Mira raised a brow. Hye Yang was still screaming but her focus was on system now. So you hated her too? Mira asked system in her mind.

[ Is that even a question, host?! ] System blurted. Mira let out a sigh, she had so many questions in her head but she chose to keep it in, one of the question was why this judgement had waited until now but she already answered herself.

The reason was because the old owner of this body died before she could clear her name and there was no transmigration until now, meaning this Mira, me, was the only one who could make every beast person in this region know the truth and cast that judgment on Hye Yang.

system chimed.

Mira only maintained the curl of her lips. She knew so many people she wished she did not have to answer back when she was on earth so she completely agreed with that. In her early teenage years, when she was qualified to work and got a part time job, she constantly had customers walk into the store she worked in and ask if the product which was displayed on the menu and on the digital menu and pasted on the glass walls to signify that the product was sold in there was sold in that shop. Mira really was close to losing her mind every single time she had to fake a smile and say ’yes, we sell that here’.

Mira refocused her gaze to her sister. Hye Yang was still screaming and begging for her life to be spared. "I grew up with you, sister, please! You remember when you told me that we shared parents? And a womb? Yes, in a way, yes, we did share a womb! Please show me some mercy. I am your sister. I swear I will change! Please, have mercy on me, sister! Please!"

Mira sneered. Before she was demon of the forest and now she was ’sister’. This was completely interesting for her to witness. Even in the beast world, when someone had power, the ones who shit talked them in the face respected and bowed or pleaded if they needed to but it was way too late for Hye Yang to be sorry. She should have been sorry before giving her next fox victim to the other side as a slave.

She should have been sorry when they were still children.

Mira took a step forward, Jia Hao moved first, holding her by the wrist to pull her back. "You’re pregnant." He whispered to her. "Do not go near the heat." He said. He was worried.

Mira let out a sigh, none of them knew she had a system with a special grade skill that kept her healthy for most parts, the heat meant nothing to her. "I will be fine." Mira said to him. "And I will not stay too long near the fire, I just want to meet with my sister." Mira stated in a calm tone. Jia Hao did not look pleased but he let go of her wrist.

"I will come with you then." Jia Hao said to Mira. Now Mira walked forward and two beast men followed behind her. One was Jia Hao and the other was Ming Tao. Mira could not help but grin, they acted like she was some fragile female who could not walk on her own and she loved that her husbands cared about her.

Hye Yang’s face lit up when she saw Mira walking towards her. She felt a small glint of hope that she chose to cling onto.

"Let go of me! I am the sister of the wife of the five great rulers you all serve!" Hye Yang yelled as she struggled her hand out of the cheetah warriors’ firm grips.

Her hand did not budge out of their hold so she stopped trying.

Mira was standing right in front of Hye Yang now and looking at her.

"Push her on her knees, my head hurts from looking straight ahead." Mira commanded. The cheetah warriors obeyed immediately and Hye Yang’s body was forced down.

Hye Yang winced but the hope she had did not die. She raised her head up to look at her sister. "Sister." Hye Yang called, her lips curled to form a slight smile. "Have you come to show your humble servant mercy?"

Mira almost scoffed. Now, Hye Yang was referring to herself as a ’humble servant’. Mira rolled her eyes.

"No." Mira said. "You will not get any mercy from me, sister." Mira said out loud. "I have come to watch you first hand from a close view and see you get burned. I want to have that satisfaction."
