Chapter 212: The Time Had Come. . . no turning back

This made Mira’s face flatten, of all the times that system chose to humble her, it was now when her sister was about to be punished.

I do not think atrocity to be an olden days word, system, Mira said to system in her mind. She knew that the Ruling Oracle head of warriors was still talking but her mind was completely away from it now and fully on system. Mira did not know if it was part of her pregnancy, but sometimes, concentrating on one thing that happened to cause her so much stress was hectic.

Like, she just wanted to exist even though it meant talking to a screen in the middle of a beast world court case to determine the fate of the one who had ruined her life and tried to kill her.

I am just a baby, Mira said to herself, and do not dare say what I think you want to say now, system!

"The Ruling Oracle has proclaimed your atrocious acts too much to spare. Hence, your banishment from the lion clan has been reaffirmed. And-"

"No!" Mira stated out loud. She didn’t listen to all the warrior of the ruling oracle had said but she was not content with this.

"Darling, what do you mean ’no’?" Ming Tao asked Mira quietly so only she could hear.

"No. While I do appreciate her unbanishment being reversed, I do not want the ruling oracle deciding the fate of my sister, Hye Yang. I was a victim of her evil actions for years, and I want to be the one in charge of delivering her punishment." Mira said aloud.

This made the warrior of the ruling oracle stay quiet and everyone else in the center exchanged glances.

"You do make a valid point." The warrior finally said after a while.

Of course I do, I mean, it’s me! Mira said in her head to herself, she wanted to say those words out yet held it back. These people did not know what it was like to live the way the old owner of this body lived and even though the Ruling Oracle had the power to fully investigate the situation in the past, they did not do it, they do not get the right do so now that my husbands has made everything easy, Mira thought.

"Go back to your ruling oracle and let them know that I wish to deliver justice for my sister’s evil deeds." Mira said. Not only had Hye Yang hurt her but she had hurt so many beast people and also dared to go after Jia Hao, the father of her children. That woman had crossed a grave line and it just occurred to Mira that Hye Yang’s goal was not only to steal Mira’s husbands but to get rid of the husbands who did not bend to being stolen.

The head of the warriors turned and looked up in a direction Mira could not exactly trace nor pin point. He nodded once like he received word from someone even though there was no one before him then he turned to face Mira. "The Ruling Oracle agrees." The warrior stated.

Mira took in a sharp breath then exhaled, she was glad.

"If you need anything else, please, do not hesitate to reach out before the ruling oracle’s departure. After all the trouble that was caused due to the ruling oracle’s failure to properly handle this matter, the ruling oracle is willing to aid in any way they can." The warrior stated.

A smile curled up the end of Mira’s lips. She would remember this for sure and maybe ask for a favour in the future but now was not the time she needed them to pass any form of judgment. "Thank you, you may go." Mira said. The warriors bowed before her and her two husbands, Ming Tao and Jia Hao, before turning back to face the direction they made their entrance through. They bowed to one more person before walking through the beast people who parted to let them pass. It was then Mira realised Alpha Wolf Wei Jie was there.

She was not sure if she saw him before, but now that she had clearly seen him, she felt her body hair stand with dread. Alpha Wolf Wei Jie hated Mira’s guts so standing in the same ground as he felt like a threat to Mira’s existence.

Mira pushed her body behind Jia Hao’s and clung onto him. Jia Hao noticed her sudden act and stared forward to see what had caused it. His eyes landed on Wei Jie and he understood immediately Mira’s need to hide behind him but he did not say a word about it, now was not the time, for now, he would just be her shield.

"Do you see with your own eyes how despicable the fox you tried to hard to protect truly is, alpha wolf Wei Jie?" Ming Tao asked.

Wei Jie’s fingers forked into a hard fist. He had wanted to believe that Hye Yang was innocent with every fibre in his body. He had wanted to believe that all of this was a scheme that his own diabolical wife had organised all to deceive her husbands, him included but he was wrong.

In fact, now he realised that the woman he should have hated and stayed clear from all this while was his wife’s sister, Hye Yang. She had been the cause of all of his suffering, she just used the demon of the forest to achieve her plan.

Alpha Wolf Wei Jie’s jaw clenched. Could he even call Mira Yang a demon? She was a victim in everything that Hye Yang had done.

Wei Jie swallowed. While he had finally known the truth, the face behind all of his physical torture and aching heart after so many rejections was Mira so it was still a rocky path as far as she was concerned but at least now. . . he could try to adjust his mind from hating her completely. Even though it would be hard.

Alpha Wolf Wei Jie stared at the ground for a long moment before looking up to face Ming Tao. He took in a deep inhale before letting out an exhale. He let his eyes rest on the fox he had trusted with everything in him. Wei Jie turned his head away from Hye Yang in a distasteful, agonising way. He hated every single bit of this and he hated that now, he had to hate her too. "I do." Wei Jie responded to Ming Tao.

"And do you accept that with whatever punishment she is given, you would not, under any circumstances interfere?" Ming Tao added. He asked this on purpose, he did not need to be Wei Jie to know Wei Jie’s mind. Once Wei Jie had been attached to someone, it took a lot to see that person in a different light, even if the person was proven to be the worst of everything and he did not want Wei Jie to stick up for Hye Yang for old times sake. Especially when Mira let the ruling oracle leave the decision making to herself.

As far as Mira’s authority went, because of her past as the demon of the forest, she was still under her husbands and right now, only two of the five were truly on her side, so that could come with some limitations if Wei Jie was not on Mira’s side through and through.

Wei Jie took a while to answer the question. He was having a hard time processing all that he had witnessed in one day. He finally parted his lips to speak. "I accept." He stated, he sounded like a man that had been defeated and lost everything even though he worked so hard to achieve it.

"No. Say you will accept every word that comes out of Mira Yang’s lips and you will not go against her judgement. Swear it on the honour of the wolf clan." Ming Tao pushed. He wanted Wei Jie to not have any single bit of hesitation that would make him go against his word.

Wei Jie’s clenched jaw came slack with devastation. "I swear on the honour of the Wolf clan, I will not go against the words of my wife, Mira Yang." He breathed. Now he stepped backwards to be in the same space as the crowd but still in front to watch.

Ming Tao let out a sigh. He walked closer to Mira and bent to whisper something in her ears. "We might have won them over, my darling. On today’s show, you won." Ming Tao said to her. "I am so proud of you and right now, everything else is yours to command."

Ming Tao placed his hand on Mira’s shoulder as he said this then stepped back again. Now that Wei Jie was not in front of Mira, she stepped to Jia Hao’s side and casted a look on her sister. Right now, Hye Yang looked like shit, but Mira was about to make her be even more miserable.
