Chapter 427: A Crowd

  • Next Chapter

"Raon!"

Machary shouted out in surprise, but then he looked at his chat window, where he had his conversation with Fang Raon.

He had been giving him some updates about what was going on with Rose Records, and today he told him about the meeting in Rooster’s Restaurant with Snake Hornets.

However.

Machary had no idea that he had already arrived on the 50th floor!

"Raon..." Della’s voice sounded full of love. "Why didn’t you tell me we were already in here? You dummy."

"You brat." Rock cracked his knuckles loudly. "We need to share a couple words later. And I mean with our fists."

"O-okay?" Fang Raon scratched the back of his head as he didn’t understand what he did to piss him off now. "Is everything alright?"

"You are Fang Raon?"

Delaweed scoffed, and then he grabbed the table and threw it over Della—ensuring that it wouldn’t accidentally hit her—and it flew straight for Fang Raon.

"Not very welcoming experience."

Fang Raon watched as the table flew at him, and then he just raised his finger, and his finger sliced through the table effortlessly.

Who Needs Swords!

Fang Raon used Read.

He used everything from people’s expressions to the atmosphere around them to gather information.

It was like he opened a book of the past—which had written everything that had happened in here—and then he closed the book.

Fang Raon found out about everything.

"She is not yours to take, nor will she ever be." Fang Raon said coldly. "I will be your opponent for today."

"Heh, sure!"

Delaweed grinned, as if he wanted that, and then he jumped through the air with the dual axes in hand.

"Watch out, Raon. He is Delaweed, the master of Snake Hornets, a very powerful player of Warrior class!"

Della worriedly called out.

Fang Raon drew the Blackest Blade. Then he duplicated it. The two dual swords met with the axes.

CLANG!

The floor of the restaurant was left with deep gashes from the impact of their weapons.

"Attack them!"

Mahabunta gave an order to attack Rose Records, and the Snake Hornets listened even though he had no power to give them an order.

They just felt like fighting, and they would’ve attacked without the order either way.

"Stand down, men!" Delaweed suddenly shouted. "Who are you to give orders, Mahabunta?"

"B-But boss..." Mahabunta paled. "T-they disrespected you!"

"I will handle this alone. I do not need anyone’s help. I am Delaweed the Unbreakable!"

Delaweed brought his axe down. Then Fang Raon Perfect Parried it. The axe smashed into the ground next to them.

"A Perfect Parry?"

He was shocked.

"Fang Raon’s Blade Dance!"

Fang Raon attacked wildly with the black blades. Selevian Waltz was utilized perfectly. It was as if he had danced all of his life.

However, Aurel’s and Fang Raon’s Selevian Waltz was quite different from each other. It was a different legacy, and therefore, a different dance.

Aurel’s Selevian Waltz was graceful. Quick. Gentle, yet deadly. Fang Raon’s was as aggressive as fire and deadly as a sword.

It took Delaweed by surprise, and he did block some sword attacks with the axes, but few got through, and wounds began to appear on his arms and legs.

"You are a legacy user... I am not. I do not need a legacy to do my fighting for me. I will become my own legacy!"

Delaweed gritted his teeth, and then he cut through Fang Raon’s Blade Dance, disrupting his dancing rhythm!

Fang Raon stumbled.

Nobody had disrupted his dancing rhythm like that before. It was one weakness of the Blade Massacre fighting style.

If the rhythm of his dance was disrupted in any way, he would be left vulnerable to attacks.

"Rush Attack!"

Delaweed rushed forward and swung the axe hard and with power. The blades sliced through the air.

"Fang Raon’s Dance Dance!"

Fang Raon weaved through the axe attacks, and then he whipped his Blackest Blade through the air, slashing Delaweed across the chest.

"Haha!"

Delaweed just laughed like a madman.

He lifted the two axes above his head. The members of Snake Hornets knew what was about to happen.

They started evacuating the restaurant!

"Light Barrier!"

Della protected every member of Rose Records in a light bubble—but she couldn’t make one in time for Fang Raon.

"RAON!"

She shouted.

"I will be fine."

Fang Raon smiled.

"Breakage of the World!"

Delaweed screamed and brought his axes down, and Fang Raon met his slash with a slash of his own.

"Perfect Parry!"

Fang Raon shouted.

The swords and blades clashed, and at that moment, the restaurant exploded with windows shattering, the walls crumbling apart, and the three floors of the restaurant collapsing into a pile of rubble and debris.

The dust cloud swept through the street, and many players and locals were alarmed by the sudden shout.

They saw the dust cloud. A fight, they all thought at the same time. Curious about it, most players actually started heading that way.

They were curious who could be fighting that was making such a big mess in the middle of the 50th floor.

Della and members of Rose Records looked with horrified gazes at the dust cloud. They feared the worst.

Then.

The dust cloud settled, and Delaweed was standing there—seemingly alone, and Della was almost overwhelmed with rage.

But then.

Fang Raon appeared from the dust. His black coat flapping furiously against the wind. He was unscathed.

"How..."

Machary whispered.

"Fang Raon has reached level 6. Very recently, if I had to guess, but his strength surpasses most other level sixers."

Waylen said.

"You risked your life with that Perfect Parry. If you were even millisecond too late, you would’ve been nothing but a black stain on the floor."

Delaweed said.

He wasn’t sure whether Fang Raon was just a reckless fool or whether he had just an insane amount of trust in his parrying skills.

Maybe both!

"Wohoo, what do we have here?"

A voice came from the rooftop of a nearby building. It was a voice that shook fear within Snake Hornets.

"...No way!"

Mahabunta almost pissed his pants.

Delaweed’s neck creaked over, and his body shrank back in horror.

"..."

Fang Raon looked over, and then he rolled his eyes with a sigh, as things got more bothersome now.

"Heh."

Kerr Gehram sat on the rooftop, leaning his head against his hand, looking at the fight like it was a show.

He wasn’t the only one that came. Players from all around the 50th floor came to watch. Most were quite big names too.

"Brother?"

Raikou said with a surprise, as he didn’t expect to see his brother here out of all the places.

He was here with his guild, the Bastard Men, as one of their branch headquarters was in here, and they were doing some guild business.

After Fang Raon became the head of the Fang Family, he gave permission for the Bastard Men and Anna’s Angels to disband.

Both Raikou and Anna wanted to lead their own guilds. And not be in the same guild. They wanted to pursue their own visions and goals independently.

Kennedy was with Raikou. Arms crossed. But he gave a quick wave to Raon with a smile on his face.

"Your brother isn’t a discreet type."

He said with a smirk.

"Hmph."

Raikou crossed his arms, but he was quite curious how this fight would go, as he knew about Delaweed.

Delaweed was a powerful guild master. Even he respected his strength. He wasn’t someone that was easy to kill.

At that moment, a group of players landed on a nearby rooftop. They all wore black coats with a black cape that had a skull and crossbones symbol embroidered on it.

"...Tch."

Kerr Gehram clicked his tongue at the sight of them, and everyone also looked towards them with a narrowed gaze.

"I was wondering what was going on. It was just two pitiful birds fighting each other. Very disappointing."

A man with platinum hair said with a smirk, and then he sat down on the edge of the roof to keep watching.

"Who are they?"

Fang Raon asked.

"You don’t know? They are new Dead Redemption. That man with the platinum hair is Shane Scuf."

Delaweed said with a scoff.

"Shane Scuf? I thought he was sent to psychiatric hospital after his defeat in the hands of Rasmus."

Fang Raon said with a frown.

It was what his brother Raizen told him.

"There are a lot of rumors about what happened with him. But one day, he just came back to Black Online and immediately became Leon’s left-hand man.

"I don’t know what Leon did to make Shane Scuf of all people follow him, but it must’ve been something pretty impressive."

Delaweed said.

’We have quite a crowd now to watch us fight. I would’ve preferred to keep my strength hidden for a while, but I suppose that is no longer possible.’

Fang Raon made his other Blackest Blade disappear, and then he pulled out his Demon-Killing Shotgun from the inventory.

"...What the hell is that?"

"...A shotgun?"

"...How the hell did he get that?"

Shane Scuf’s eyebrow lifted in curiosity.
