Chapter 428: Came and Went Like the Wind
“A shotgun?” Delaweed laughed and stepped forward. “As if that scares me. I am mightier than a shot—”
BANG!
The Demon-Killing Shotgun trembled as it fired pellets, and Delaweed was thrown backwards, the impact knocking the wind out of him.
“Whoo… Whoo…”
Delaweed panted heavily, and he looked down at his chest plate armor, and the pellets were stuck at it.
He felt very lucky that he spent half a million to purchase this armor. It was easily the most expensive purchase of his.
It now saved him.
Fang Raon made his next move. He moved fluidly like fish in the water. The black blade came for Delaweed like a serpent.
Delaweed clashed with the black blade. The axes clashed, sparks flying in all directions.
He then brought his axe from high above his head. He swung it down. The black blade arched through the air and deflected it in time.
Fang Raon swung the Demon-Killing Shotgun—like it was a baseball bat—and he whacked it across Delaweed’s face.
Blood gushed out of his mouth.
“Heh…” Delaweed looked back at him with red eyes. “You need to do better than that to kill me, brat!”
Fang Raon snapped the Demon-Killing Shotgun towards his face. He was firing it from point-black range.
The finger of his pulled the trigger.
Bang!
Delaweed ducked under the pellets at the very last moment, and then he grabbed Fang Raon from his jacket.
“GET LOST!” Delaweed gritted his teeth and threw him across the air. “Muscle Man’s Throw!”
Fang Raon smashed into a wall. A large dent appeared on the side of the building’s wall. Some business owners would have nasty repair bills to deal with in the morning.
“Haha, they’re duking it out.” Kerr Gehram laughed. “Fang Raon, you better not lose, you shitty brat. That guy owes me money!”
‘I owe you money?’ Delaweed angrily looked at him. ‘For what? I accidentally spilled a drink on your jacket, and I already gave you more than enough to get you ten of those same fucking jackets!’
Ever since that day, Kerr Gehram had visited his guild house pretty much every day asking for money.
And Delaweed had given him money as an apology, but Kerr was now treating him as some kind of free bank where he could just get money.
He was tired of it!
His guild was suffering because of it, as they soon didn’t have enough money to pay all the member salaries!
Fang Raon let out a deep sigh, and then he stored the Demon-Killing Shotgun back in his inventory.
He also put the Blackest Blade in its sheath.
“What is he doing now?” Machary asked. “Don’t tell me he is stopping to fight now.”
It also confused everyone.
Delaweed scoffed. He began to stomp over. He touched the axes together, scratching them against each other.
“I don’t see what that woman sees in you. You’re nothing. I am stronger, and strength is all that matters.”
Delaweed said coldly, and then he swung the axe down at him.
“Her name is Della.” Fang Raon put his hand in the way of the axe, and the axe suddenly stopped. “Anchor.”
“Huh?” Delaweed gritted his teeth. ‘Why the hell is my axe not moving?’
“…What is going on? What did Fang Raon do?”
“…A new skill of his?”
Rock was looking at it with a frown, and he thought that “Anchor” sounded really familiar to him. A very familiar.
‘Has Fang Raon somehow learned the secret techniques of Pillars of Power? How though? Who did teach him?’
Rock thought with a frown.
Even he hadn’t learned them because there was nobody to teach them, and learning something so complex from scratch was very hard.
“Forge,” Knives appeared on Fang Raon’s hand. “Void. Axe.”
The second axe in Delaweed’s hand disappeared. It shocked him. Then the Forged knives flew at him and stabbed into his neck.
“Ugh!” He stumbled back. “What the hell was that?”
He looked for his second axe, even from his inventory, and it had completely disappeared somewhere!
Fang Raon jumped through the air and kicked Delaweed in the face. It made him stumble back. Then he put his hand on the Blackest Blade.
“A new skill creation,” Fang Raon whispered. “Fang Raon’s Black Draw.”
He disappeared. Then he appeared behind Delaweed with the Blackest Blade sword already drawn.
GUSH!
A sword wound appeared on Delaweed’s shoulder. Just above his expensive armor that didn’t cover up his shoulder.
“God damn it!”
[You have created the “Fang Raon’s Black Draw” skill]
‘As level 6, I have gained the ability to make my own skills.’ Fang Raon thought. ‘It also helps that I have my own legacy now.’
In that moment, the missing axe of Delaweed appeared. It dropped right in front of him. He picked it up.
“What did you do?” Delaweed asked. “What black magic are you using?”
Fang Raon shrugged his shoulders.
Delaweed scoffed.
They locked their gazes. Then they both moved at the same time. Their weapons smashed against each other.
In the middle of the destroyed Rooster’s Restaurant, they attacked each other furiously enough to make the whole street tremble with the force of their blows.
“Wohoo, go guys!”
“That’s more like it!”
“Haha, this is a good show!”
Players were enjoying the fight.
The members of the New Dead Redemption were only here to watch because there was nothing else for them to do this late.
“He has grown stronger,” Kennedy told Raikou. “Is he stronger than you now?”
Raikou rolled his eyes. But truth be told, he wouldn’t want to fight his brother right now. The outcome scared him.
Snake Hornets and Rose Records weren’t having as much fun as others. They didn’t like seeing them fight to death.
Snake Hornets were scared now that it looked like Fang Raon was in equal power to their guild master.
It made them even more wary of Rose Records.
On the other hand, Rose Records didn’t want Fang Raon to die. He was the future of their guild.
Fang Raon pressed forward aggressively. He swung the black blade with force like he wanted to cut through everything in his path.
Delaweed blocked everything that he threw at him. He didn’t take a single step behind him. He was like a rock mountain.
Then.
He swung the axes through the air, but Fang Raon flipped over the axes like a skilled acrobat, and while in the air, he landed a powerful kick to Delaweed’s chest.
Delaweed dropped on one knee.
“Hmph,” he scoffed and stood back up. “Your kicks will not harm me.”
“What about this?” Fang Raon jumped backwards, and then he swung his sword. “Fang Raon’s Black Petal Execution!”
Hundreds of black petals shot out of his blade. They came down like a deadly rain. Too much for anyone to block them all.
“Hehe…” Delaweed embraced himself. “I won’t back down.”
He started swinging the axes furiously. They cut through the black petals like butter. But few got through.
The black petals went through his half a million armor. They landed on his flesh. They left behind a petal mark on his flesh.
“Ugh!” Delaweed recoiled. “What happened?”
His health had an insane drop. Almost half of his health disappeared instantly.
Fang Raon dropped back to the ground. Then he ran straight for Delaweed. He swung the black blade.
“Come on then!” Delaweed swung his axes. “I’ll take you down with me!”
The attacks were about to land. Then, a figure appeared in-between them. The figure stopped their attacks with a pair of daggers.
Their attacks came to a halt as if they had accidentally hit an obsidian wall.
“I am bored,” Shane Scuf said, holding them back with nothing but daggers. “Why don’t the two of you fight me?”
“What the hell are you doing?” Delaweed asked angrily. “This has nothing to do with you. Get your ass out of here!”
Fang Raon’s eye twitched.
“…This idiot,” Kerr Gehram crossed his arms. “He always got impatient and jealous when others had a good battle going on. And he always has to ruin it.”
“…It was getting good too. This new generation of Dead Redemption is so annoying.”
“…Who does he think he is? Is he some kind of attention whore or something? This fight had nothing to do with him.”
Shane pushed Delaweed and Fang Raon both back. He was just using daggers. It didn’t seem possible to stop the axes and the Blackest Blade with just that.
Yet he just did that.
‘He blocked both of us effortlessly, and I was using everything that I got into that slash. I am sure Delaweed was the same.’
Fang Raon thought.
Honestly, he didn’t want to fight Shane Scuf, as he didn’t believe he was in the same league as Dead Redemption just yet.
“Well?” Shane Scuf looked at the two of them. “Will the two of you attack or not? Or do I have to do the attacking, heh?”
“Shane.”
At that moment, a voice echoed throughout the street. Silencing everyone. Everyone turned around to look.
They saw a silver-haired man standing on top of a building.
“This fight has nothing to do with you,” Leon said coldly. “Let the weak have their battle. I have another fight where I need you.”
“…Oh.” Shane sighed, and he sheathed his daggers. “What a shame. I was really looking forward to this one.”
He put his hands inside his pockets and then walked away, and while walking, he turned around to look at them.
“Let’s fight another day, yeah? Bye bye!”
He walked off. Dead Redemption members had also disappeared. And they looked for Leon, but even he had disappeared.
They came and went like the wind.
